Michele to Star in Fox’s Anthology Series “Scream Queens”

Life is but a scream for Lea Michele

The 28-year-old part-Spanish actress/singer has landed a role in Scream Queens, the follow-up Fox series from Glee creators Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan.

Lea Michele

The first installment in the new anthology series revolves around a college campus, which is rocked by a series of murders. Fifteen one-hour episodes have been ordered.

Production is scheduled to begin in the spring, with the series premiering in fall 2015 on Fox.

Also joining the cast are Joe Manganiello (True Blood), Abigail Breslin (Little Miss Sunshine) and Keke Palmer (Akeela and the Bee). Additionally, Ariana Grande will have a recurring role.

Jamie Lee Curtis and Emma Roberts were previously cast in starring roles.

Lea Michele is ready to let it go

Full audio of the 28-year-old part-Spanish singer belting out the instaclassic Frozen song “Let It Go” from the upcoming season of Fox‘s musical dramedy Glee has surfaced.

Lea Michele

While it comes as little surprise that Michele’s character Rachel Berry is covering one of the biggest songs of 2014, fans will quickly note that there’s something a little extra special about this cover.

Idina Menzel, who performs the song for the film’s soundtrack, portrays Rachel’s biological mom on the series. The two even memorably performed “I Dreamed a Dream” together on the show, among other performances.

It’s been said the two Broadway alums have a similar sound, and Michele’s cover of “Let It Go” is no exception.

The Final Season of “Glee,” with Rivera & Lea Michele, Returning on Fridays in January

Naya Rivera is preparing for Foxy Fridays starting in January…

Fox has announced plans to air the 13-episode final season of Glee, featuring the 27-year-old half-Puerto Rican actress/singer and Lea Michelle, on Fridays at 8:00 pm ET.

Naya Rivera

Rivera, who portrays Santana Lopez on the musical dramedy, is returning as a recurring guest star for Glee’s sixth and final season.

Glee will return with a two-hour season premiere on Friday, January 9.

Michele to Perform “Frozen” Hit “Let It Go” on “Glee”

Lea Michele’s about to take on an ice-cold hit made famous by her on-screen mother…

Confirming buzz from last week, the 28-year-old part-Spanish American actress and Glee star on Friday tweeted a photo of herself filming a performance of “Let It Go” from Frozen.

Lea Michele on Glee

“I don’t care.. What they’re going to say.. Let the storm rage on.. The cold never bothered me anyway…” tweeted Michele, along with a photo of her in a stunning evening gown.

Michele’s character Rachel Berry will indeed channel her inner Elsa — for the show’s sixth season premiere, slated to air sometime in 2015.

Interestingly, “Let It Go” is performed in Frozen by Idina Menzel, who portrayed Michele’s character’s biological mother on Glee.

As previously reported, the Fox musical dramedy’s final season will find the gang returning to Lima, Ohio, to revive the New Directions, along with a few other no-longer-surprise twists.

It looks like Lea Michele’s heading back to the beginning…

The 27-year-old part-Spanish actress and Glee star will be returning to Ohio for the Fox musical dramedy’s sixth and final season.

Lea Michele

The truncated season will revolve around Michele’s character Rachel Berry, who returns to Lima after a “humiliating failure” as a television actress.

The former New Directions star will head back home to figure out what she wants to do next and, after discovering that Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch) has disbanded the glee club, undertakes the task of reinstating and leading the group that helped launch her career.

Meanwhile, Blaine (Darren Criss), Sam (Chord Overstreet) and Will (Matthew Morrison) have all found new and surprising gigs in Ohio.

Fox notes that other McKinley High alums will also return for Glee‘s final run.

Michele, Criss, Overstreet, Lynch and Morrison will all return as series regulars and be joined by Chris Colfer (Kurt), Dot-Marie Jones (Coach Beiste), Kevin McHale (Artie) and Amber Riley (Mercedes).

Naya Rivera will return with a reduced roleMax Adler has also booked a major recurring role in the final season, reprising his role as Dave Karofsky.

Co-creator Ryan Murphy told The Hollywood Reporter at the Emmys on Monday that he doesn’t currently know what the final scene of the series will be. “I did. I don’t anymore, but I think it will be emotional,” he said.

Murphy told reporters in April that the final season would feature a time jump and focus more on the original castmembers, shifting the focus from its previous relocated home in New York.

“The final season is really its own story and its own location, and while the New York stuff will be alive, the final season is not New York-centric at all,” Murphy said. “It really [will be] a lovely, fitting season that … dwells on the original people that were on the show and what happens to them and how they give back. That really is the last season. … We’ll revisit some of the new kids that came and went. There’s a return of the Jane-Matt characters in a big way. It’s really interesting, a very sweet, satisfying ending to the story.”

Murphy’s original vision for the end of the series featured Rachel and Finn’s (the late Cory Monteith) “star-crossed lovers getting together and having a happy ending and them both getting their dreams.” He added, “The fact that that can’t be is a big pain in all of our hearts.”

Glee‘s final season returns midseason on Fox. An exact premiere date has not yet been determined.

Michele to Guest-Star on FX’s “Sons of Anarchy”

Lea Michele is preparing for a world of anarchy

The 27-year-old part-Spanish actress and Glee star has landed a one-episode guest-starring role on FX‘s Sons of Anarchy, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Lea Michele

Michele announced the news Monday via her Twitter account, writing: “I’ll be appearing on an episode of my favorite show @SonsofAnarchy! Thank you so much @Harparbar & @sutterink #SOAFX.”

Michele will guest-star in the sixth episode of the final season of the Kurt Sutter drama, portraying Gertie, an empathetic truck-stop waitress and single mother who connects with Gemma (Katey Sagal) during a difficult time.

Michele’s episode is scheduled to air on October 14 on FX.

The casting keeps Michele with the 20th Century Fox family, with the studio producing both Glee and Sons of Anarchy.

Michele joins a season-seven cast that also includes Courtney Love and Marilyn Manson, among others.

Sons of Anarchy will return Tuesday, September 9, at 10:00 pm ET on FX, with live post-show Anarchy Afterword airing immediately after.

Glee returns in 2015 with its abbreviated sixth and final season. An exact date has not yet been announced.

Lovato to Perform at This Year’s Teen Choice Awards

Demi Lovato will storm this year’s Teen Choice Awards

The 21-year-old part-Mexican singer/actress and former The X Factor judge will take the stage at this year’s Teen Choice Awards alongside Cher Lloyd.

Demi Lovato

The two will perform their dancetastic duet “Really Don’t Care,” the latest single off Lovato’s self-titled 2013 album, according to Fox.

Lovato has several nominations. She is up for Choice Summer Song and Choice Break-Up Song with Lloyd for “Really Don’t Care.” She’s also nominated for Choice Summer Music Star: Female as well as Choice Love Song for her duet with The Vamps, “Somebody to You.”

In addition to Lovato, the network also confirmed that Rita Ora will perform her latest single “I Will Never Let You Down.”

Additionally, Hilary Duff, Megan Fox, Fifth Harmony, Kevin Hart, Colton Haynes, Josh Hutcherson, Sarah Hyland, Kendall Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Lea Michele, The Band Perry and Nat Wolff will all make appearances.

The Teen Choice Awards will air on August 10 at 8:00 pm ET on Fox.

Rivera Returning as a Recurring Guest Star for the Sixth and Final Season of “Glee”

Here’s news to cheer about… Naya Rivera is returning for the final season of Glee.

Despite being absent in the season five finale, the 27-year-old half-Puerto Rican actress/singer will return to Fox’s musical dramedy as a recurring guest star.

Naya Rivera

It’s reportedly Rivera’s own request to be downgraded from a series regular, according to TVLine.com.

The report comes following Rivera’s alleged on-set feud with co-star Lea Michele, but Michele denied it.

“It’s really unbelievable the amount of the things that can just be completely made up,” she said when visiting Late Show with David Letterman in May, adding that the rumors were “really frustrating.”

Series creator Ryan Murphy also told Extra, “I don’t think there is a story between Naya and Lea. I always marvel at the things that become headline news that most of the time are completely fabricated. Naya’s coming back next year, Lea’s coming back next year. Anybody ever in that cast has an open invitation to come back and finish the character they so beautifully started.”

A source, however, said Rivera had a disagreement with the show’s producers, though another insider insisted that it “had nothing to do with Lea.”

Glee sixth season will air in spring 2015.

Murphy has discussed the concept for the final season, saying, “It really feels like it’s getting back to its roots, which I love. I’m sort of reinvigorated about it. It’s getting back to what I was initially interested in with the show, which was arts in school.

The last season is really about the importance of arts education in our high schools… I think people will like it.”
