The 33-year-old Latina actress and Tony Award nominee has landed a recurring role on NBC’s supernatural crime drama Grimm, co-created by Angel co-creator David Greenwalt.

Rodriguez will portray Special Agent Chavez, an FBI agent with a hidden agenda and a secret identity.

Rodriguez, who starred on All My Children, can currently be seen as Aleida Diaz on Netflix’s Orange Is The New Black.

Her other credits include television appearance on Power, Cold Case, FlashForward, Law & Order, The Shield and ER.

Grimm was renewed for a fourth season in March.

Aspillaga to Appear in Recurring Role on Starz’s Drama “Flesh and Bone”

The 41-year-old Latina actress has landed a guest recurring role on Starz‘s ballet drama Flesh and Bone.

The series follows Claire (portrayed by Sarah Hay), a young dancer with a distinctly troubled past, as she joins a prestigious ballet company in New York.

Aspillaga will portray Monica, the company’s assistant manager, who is stable, extremely good at her job and at managing her boss.

Aspillaga’s previous credits include television appearances on Law & Order, Elementary, The Good Wife and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.

Her film credits include Gun Hill Road, Morning Glory and Love & Other Drugs.

de la Garza to Star in ABC’s Drama Pilot “Forever”

Alana de la Garza has landed a forever role…

The 37-year-old Half-Mexican American actress has landed the female lead role opposite Ioan Gruffudd in ABC’s drama pilot Forever.

Written by Matthew Miller and directed by Brad Anderson, the project centers on Dr. Henry Morgan (Gruffudd), New York City’s star medical examiner.

What no one knows is that he studies the dead for a reason — he’s immortal.

His investigative work with recently widowed detective Jo Martinez (portrayed by de la Garza), a recovering alcoholic, and relationship with best friend Abe (Judd Hirsch) will peel back the layers of Henry’s colorful and long life.

de la Garza, best known for her role as ADA Connie Rubirosa on the television series Law & Order, most recently co-starred on NBC’s short-lived series Do No Harm. Her other credits include All My Children, JAG, Charmed, Two and a Half Men, Las Vegas and CSI: Miami.

Gomez Cast in NBC’s Comedy Pilot “Ellen More or Less”

There may be more or less of Joshua Gomez on television in the near future…

The 38-year-old Latino actor, who earned three ALMA Award nominations for his performance on NBC’s long-running spy series Chuck, has been cast in the NBC pilot Ellen More or Less.

Written by JJ Philbin and directed by Peyton Reed, the comedy project centers on Ellen (portrayed by Stacey McGunnigle), an average-size woman who, after losing 100 pounds, begins reinventing herself in life and love.

Gomez will portray Craig, a co-worker of Ellen’s in the Billing Department.

Along with his role on Chuck, Gomez’s previous television credits include appearances on Castle, Without a Trace, Invasion and Law & Order.

Bratt to Star Opposite Kiefer Sutherland in Fox’s “24: Live Another Day”

The 50-year-old half-Peruvian American actor has joined the cast of Fox’s event series 24: Live Another Day, which sees the return of Kiefer Sutherland’s iconic character Jack Bauer and his terrorism-fighting crew to television.

Bratt will play Steve Harris, the head of CIA operations tracking down a now-fugitive Bauer in London.

Bratt’s ops team is now set: Yvonne Strahovski, Jordan Reed and Erik Ritter will play his fellow agents.

Bratt’s previous television credits include an Emmy-nominated turn on Law & Order and Private Practice. Most recently, he appeared in a recurring role as Sofia Vergara’s character’s ex-husband on Modern Family.

24: Live Another Day will have its two-hour premiere on May 5.

Gomez Lands Guest-Starring Role on ABC’s “Castle”

The 37-year-old Latino actor and Chuck alum has landed a guest-starring role on ABC’s drama Castle.

Gomez, who earned three ALMA Award nods during his stint on Chuck,   will appear in the fifth episode of Season 6 as a murder suspect who claims to have traveled from the future to prevent a cataclysmic event from happening, according to EW.com.

Gomez follows in the footsteps of fellow Chuck alum Adam Baldwin as well as Gomez’s Chuck love interest Mekenna Melvin.

This marks the actor’s first television role since bidding Chuck adieu.

Gomez’s other credits include appearances on Without a Trace, Law & Order and Invasion.

ABC’s Castle returns with new episodes on Monday, September 23.

de la Garza Gives Birth to Second Child

Alana de la Garza is back to changing diapers…

The 37-year-old half-Mexican American actress gave birth to a baby girl last Sunday, July 7, as confirmed by Us Weekly.

de la Garza’s new bundle of joy arrived just five months after she announced her pregnancy back in January. “We are beyond excited to meet our baby girl!” she gushed back then.

No other details about the newborn have been announced, but the baby is a second child for the former Law & Order star and her husband Michael Roberts.

The newborn tot joins big sister Kieran who was born in September 2010.

de la Garza wed longtime boyfriend Michael, a writer, on May 31, 2008 in Orlando.

Her on-screen credits include Smallville, Charmed and CSI: Miami. She also starred as neurologist Lena Solis on NBC’s canceled series Do No Harm.

Ruehl to Star in ABC’s Legal Drama Pilot “Doubt”

Mercedes Ruehl has no doubt what her next television project will be…

The 65-year-old part-Cuban Oscar– and Tony-winning actress has signed on to star opposite Steve Coogan and Carla Gugino in ABC’s legal drama pilot Doubt.

From Sony Pictures Television, the project centers on Vincent (portrayed by Coogan), a former police officer who is now a cunning but charming low-rent lawyer using his street smarts to work the system for his clients while battling his own demons and wooing his ex-wife Linda (Gugino).

Ruehl will portray Mrs. Syn Newman, a lawyer who works and constantly bickers with her husband (John Pankow) in offices they rent from Vincent. Though frequently exasperated by her landlord, she also considers him a son and her frustration with him never dampens her desire to fight alongside him.

Ruehl, who has an upcoming guest-starring role in the episode of TNT’s Monday Mornings, has guest-starred in Law & Order, Psych and Entourage.

The Fisher King star will next be seen in the film Chu And Blossom.

Bonilla to Appear in ABC’s “Bad Management” Pilot

The 24-year-old Puerto Rican actor has landed a role in ABC comedy pilot Bad Management.

The project, written by Sharon Horgan, centers on a slightly self-centered female boss (portrayed by Horgan) at a high-end luxury goods department store who finds her ways challenged when the boss’ son, Tobias Jr. (David Spade), comes to town and makes youth and sex the new company focus.

Bonilla, who gained acclaim for his role as Rafe Rivera on Guiding Light  will portray Ramon, a vain guy working at the store who had a butt implant.

Bonilla’s other credits include appearances on Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Revenge and Law & Order.

Martinez Cast in CBS’ “Intelligence” Pilot

The Latino actor has been cast as Gonzo Sanchez in CBS’ drama pilot Intelligence, a character described as a “muscular federal investigator.”
