Wisin Earns First Solo No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums Chart

The 36-year-old Puerto Rican Reggaeton singer-songwriter and record producer scores his first solo No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums chart (dated Sept. 26) with Los Vaqueros: La Trilogia.

The album sold 2,000 copies in the week ending September 10, according to Nielsen Music.

It’s Wisin’s sixth overall No. 1, including the five he achieved as one-half of Wisin & Yandel.

Los Vaqueros: La Trilogia simultaneously opens at No. 15 on Billboard’s Rap Albums chart.

On the Latin Rhythm Digital Songs chart, album cut “Que Se Sienta El Deseo,” featuring Ricky Martin, enters at No. 7 with 2,000 downloads.

The set’s lead single “Nota de Amor,” featuring Carlos Vives and Daddy Yankee, reached No. 1 on the Latin Airplay chart dated April 25.

One week after scoring his first No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart with “El Perdon (where it remains this week), the 34-year-old Puerto Rican singer-songwriter tops the Latin Airplay chart with the same track, which features Enrique Iglesias.

It’s his first radio-driven No. 1 (and Iglesias’ 14th). The track rises 4-1 on the chart dated March 28, up 30 percent to 9.5 million audience impressions in the week ending March 15, according to Nielsen Music.

WMGE, Miami championed the track, logging the most weekly spins during the tracking week (99).

“El Perdon” continues to climb in sales and streams, aiding its continued stay atop the hybrid Hot Latin Songs chart (which blends sales, streams and airplay data). Its streaming is up 21 percent (to 1.2 million domestic weekly clicks), with 66 percent deriving from YouTube — a sizable figure, considering it has no official music video.

Jam’s official YouTube channel has amassed over 100 million worldwide streams of the song. The lyric video has logged 82 million global views.

The track shifted 6,000 digital downloads for the week, a 2 percent hike, to crown Latin Rhythm Digital Songs for a third consecutive frame.

Jam holds four spots on the chart, with “Travesuras” continuing at No. 4 (3,000 downloads), “Si Tu No Estas” dropping 9-11 (1,000) and “Voy a Beber” steady at No. 16 (1,000).
