Harvey Guillén Starring in the Indie Pickleball Mockumentary “Pickleheads”

Harvey Guillén has setup a new project …

The 34-year-old Mexican American actor will star opposite Adrianne Palicki and John O’Hurley as the leads in the indie pickleball mockumentaryPickleheads.

Harvey Guillén,The film’s cast also includes Pej Vahdat, Kristine Froseth, Eric Nelsen, Ryan Cooper, Lindsey Morgan, Sam Humphrey and the film’s screenwriter Jared Bonner.

The homemade mockumentary “directed” by Arash Bardot (Vahdat) follows the weirdly lovable Barney Bardot (Bonner), who returns to civilization after a shameful, televised loss in Ping Pong eight years before Angus Caan (Cooper), which led him to recluse in the woods. Arash hopes for a “return to glory” story to save their family home from the estate agent at the door, Gayle Plankton (Guillén). But, with too much trauma surrounding his Ping Pong history, Barney cannot return to the small table.

Fortuitously, they meet the sweet and savage community pickleballer Mia Presley (Froseth) and reconnect with Angus, who acclimates Barney back to civilian life and a new racquet sport, where he must best Hawk Kai (Eric Nelsen) and his past.

Palicki stars as ‘Carla Plankton’, Nelsen as ‘Hawk Kai,’ and Sam Humphrey as ‘Gunther.’

The film is a co-production of Cooper’s Flew The Coop Productions and Bonner’s Fly Over Films.

Henry Zaga to Star in Hulu’s Limited Series “Looking for Alaska”

Henry Zaga is ready for a little northern exposure…

The 26-year-old Brazilian actor has landed a recurring role opposite Charlie Plummer and Kristine Froseth in Looking for Alaska, Hulu’s eight-episode limited series based on John Green’s novel.

Looking for Alaska is told through the eyes of teenager Miles “Pudge” Halter (Plummer), as he enrolls in boarding school to try to gain a deeper perspective on life. He falls in love with Alaska Young (Froseth), and finds a group of loyal friends. But after an unexpected tragedy, Miles and his close friends must attempt to uncover the truth and make sense of what they’ve been through.

The series hails from Paramount Television and Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage’s Fake Empire.

Zaga will portray Jake, Alaska’s impossibly handsome, floppy-haired, college-aged boyfriend, funny and adorable.

Schwartz wrote the pilot and will serve as executive producer and showrunner. 

Zaga can next be seen in the upcoming Fox film The New Mutants, which will be released August 2. He previously starred in the hit Netflix series 13 Reasons Why.

Centineo to Star in Cyrano de Bergerac-Inspired “Sierra Burgess Is a Loser”

Noah Centineo is reporting for Loser duty…

The 20-year-old Latino actor, who stars on Freeform’s The Fosters, has joined the cast of Sierra Burgess Is a Loser.

Centineo replaces Ben Hardy, who originally was attached to the project.

Directed by Ian Samuels, the modern Cyrano de Bergerac film stars Shannon Purser as Sierra, who is intelligent and creative but not exactly the shallow definition of high school pretty. When an unexpected romance forms in a case of mistaken identity, Sierra must team with the popular girl in order to win her crush.

Kristine Froseth, RJ Cyler and Will Peltz co-star in the film, which was written by Lindsey Beer.

Centineo will appear in Season 2 of AwesomenessTV’s T@gged.
