Rauw Alejandro Releases Fourth Studio Album “Playa Saturno”

Rauw Alejandro is embracing the sounds of summer…

The 3-0-year-old Puerto Rican singer, songwriter and actor, known as the “King of Modern Reggaeton,” has released his fourth studio album Playa Saturno.

Rauw AlejandroWhile Alejandro had hinted at dropping the album in the summer, the actual release was a surprise to fans as the artist had never revealed exactly when he planned to put out the project.

Spanning 14 tracks, Playa Saturno is a “spinoff” of Saturno, which was just released in January.

The LP opens with a gentle intro, hearing Alejandro sing softly over simple guitar chords. Things speed up, however, on the ensuing track “CUANDO BAJE EL SOL.”

Playa Saturno also features a lineup of exciting collaborations, including Ñejo y Dálmata, Jowell y Randy and Ivy Queen.

Bizarrap makes a guest appearance on the previously released “Baby Hello,” while other standout features come from Miguel Bose and Junior H.

Rauw Alejandro Making Acting Debut on Netflix’s Series “Sky Rojo”

The 30-year-old Puerto Rican singer and songwriter, referred to as the “King of Modern Reggaeton,” is set to make his acting debut on Netflix’s new series Sky Rojo.

Rauw AlejandroAfter teasing fans with television stills, Rauw officially shared a snippet of one of the episodes he’s in.

“Bebe, a pleasure [to meet you] my name is Diego!! and we can get to know each other more on Sky Rojo via Netflix,” he captioned the post.

In the clip, Rauw appears in an action-packed scene with the show’s star, Argentine singer and actress Lali Espósito.

Rauw Alejandro is readying to take the Billboard stage…

The 29-year-old Puerto Rican singer and rapper, as the “King of Modern Reggaeton,” will perform at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards, which will take place in less than a month.

Rauw AlejandroIn addition to Alejandro, the first round of performers fans can expect to see includes Megan Thee Stallion, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Latto and Burna Boy.

They’ll all take the stage at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas at the May 15 awards show.

Alejandro is a finalist in four categories this year, including top Latin artist.

More major reveals about the 2022 Billboard Music Awards, including who’s hosting and who’s set to receive this year’s Change Maker Award, are expected in the coming weeks.

Billboard Music Awards finalists and winners are based on key fan interactions with music, including album and digital song sales, streaming, radio airplay, and social engagement, tracked by Billboard and its data partners, including Luminate (formerly MRC Data).

The 2022 Billboard Music Awards will air Sunday, May 15, at 8:00 pm ET/5:00 pm PT live on NBC.

Rauw Alejandro to Judge Netflix’s Reality Competition Series “La Firma”

Rauw Alejandro is on the hunt for new urban talent…

The 29-year-old Puerto Rican singer and rapper, known as the “King of Modern Reggaeton,” and fellow reggaeton star Yandel are among the Latin artists helping Netflix in their search for the next Latin urban music star in the reality competition series, La Firma.

Rauw AlejandroThe duo will be joined by Nicki Nicole and Lex Borrero as judges of the competition, while super-producer Tainy will serve as mentor and music producer/supervisor.

The search will take place across Latin America, the United States, and Spain.

In the series, viewers will follow the journeys of the selected artists as they head to Miami for the competition.

The winner will sign with talent incubator NEON16.

La Firma was created by Borrero, developed by Howard T. Owens and showrunner Nikki Boella, and produced by Propagate and NTERTAIN, which was founded by Borrero, Tommy Mottola, and Range Media Partners.
