Ice Spice Wins First-Ever Blimp Award at Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards

Ice Spice is the kids’ choice…

The 2024 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards have been doled out, with the 24-year-old half-Dominican American Grammy-nominated rapper picking up the first-ever Blimp Award of her career.

Ice Spice, a three-time nominee this year, picked up the award for Favorite Music Collaboration alongside Nicki Minaj and Aqua for “Barbie World.”

Ice Spice, who recently released her new single “Did It First” with Central Cee, was also nominated for Favorite Music Collaboration alongside Taylor Swift for “Karma (Remix)” and Favorite Breakout Artist.

 

Hosted by SpongeBob SquarePants (voiced by Tom Kenny) and Patrick Star (voiced by Bill Fagerbakke), the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2024 aired live from their undersea home of Bikini Bottom, and simulcast across Nickelodeon, TeenNick, Nicktoons, the Nick Jr. channel, TVLand, CMT and MTV2. Highlights included Kelly Rowland presenting Serena Williams with the Legend Gold Blimp award for her career spanning sports, fashion, beauty and lifestyle.

The 20-year-old Puerto Rican and Mexican American actress has picked up her first-ever Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards’ blimp.

Jenna OrtegaOrtega was named Favorite Female TV Star (Family) for her role as Wednesday Addams on Netflix’s acclaimed series Wednesday.

Selena Gomez has earned her twelfth Kids’ Choice Awards’ prize.

The 30-year-old Mexican American actress/singer won the award for Favorite Voice from an Animated Movie (Female) for her portrayal of Mavis in Hotel Transylvania: Transformania.

It’s Gomez’s second win the category for her work as Mavis in the Hotel Transylvania franchise following her win in 2019 for her work as Mavis on Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation.

The awards show was hosted by Nate Burleson and Charli D’Amelio and aired live on Nick from L.A’s Microsoft Theater.

Jenna Ortega Earns First-Ever Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards Nomination

Nickelodeon has revealed the nominees for its 2023 Kids’ Choice Awards, with the 20-year-old Puerto Rican and Mexican American actress earning her first nod.

Jenna OrtegaOrtega is nominated in the Favorite Female Star TV (Family) category for her portrayal of Wednesday Addams on Netflix’s acclaimed series Wednesday.

Selena Gomez and Salma Hayek will face off in the Favorite Voice from an Animated Movie (Female).

The 30-year-old Mexican American actress is nominated for her role as Mavis in Hotel Transylvania: Transformania, while the Mexican actress is nominated for her work as Kitty Softpaws in Puss in Boots: The Last Wish.

Cardi B is nominated in the Favorite Female Artist category; Bad Bunny is nominated in the Favorite Male Artist category, and Taboo and his Black Eyed Peas group mates are up for Favorite Music Group.

Taboo and his fellow Black Eyed Peas, nominated with Shakira and David Guetta for “Don’t You Worry,” will face off against Camila Cabello and Ed Sheeran, nominated for “Bam Bam,” in the Favorite Collaboration category.

Bad Bunny (Latin America) and Rosalia (Europe) are up for Favorite Global Music Superstar.

Stephen Sanchez is nominated for Favorite Social Media Star.

The awards show will air live on Saturday, March 4 at 7:00 pm ET/PT from L.A.’s Microsoft Theater.

In the sports categories, Lionel Messi is up for Favorite Male Sports Star.

Musical performances will be announced at a later date.

This year’s show will also feature extreme logic-defying stunts; wild celebrity collaborations and games; magical illusions and tricks; interactive moments within the Nickverse; and epic slimings. Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards 2023 will simulcast across NickelodeonTeenNickNicktoons, the Nick Jr. channel, TVLand, CMT and MTV2.

Kid Cudi to Perform at This Month’s Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards

Kid Cudi is preparing to Kid’s around…

The 38-year-old part-Mexican American rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer and actor, whose real name is Scott Mescudi, will perform on the 2022 Kids’ Choice Awards, which will air live on Nickelodeon channels on Saturday, April 9, at 7:30 p.m. (ET/PT) from Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Calif.

Kid CudiKid Cudi will perform a medley of his new single “Stars in the Sky,” from the animated film Sonic  the Hedgehog 2, and his 2010 hit “Pursuit of Happiness,” from his acclaimed debut album, Man on the Moon: The End of Day.”

While Kid Cudi is out of the Nickelodeon target demo, he’s still a kid at heart.

Said the rapper/singer in a statement: “I can’t believe my late 30-something butt gets to party at the Kids’ Choice Awards! I grew up loving Nickelodeon and it’s been a dream of mine to get slimed.”

Kid Cudi is nominated in the album of the year category at the Grammys, albeit as a featured artists on another artists’ albums.

Kid Cudi appears on Kanye West’s DONDA.

Hosted byiCarlyactress Miranda Cosgrove and NFL star Rob Gronkowski, Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards 2022 will feature stars from the worlds of film, television, music, sports and more. The show will simulcast – or should that beslimulcast— across Nickelodeon, Teen NickNicktoons and the Nick Jr. channel.
