Jessie Reyez to Perform at This Year’s Bonnaroo Festival

Jessie Reyez is headed to The Farm.

The 26-year-old Colombian-Canadian singer-songwriter will perform at the 17th annual Bonnaroo Festival, taking place June 7-10 in Manchester, Tennessee, Superfly and A.C. Entertainment announced today.

Reyez, who appears on Calvin Harris’ single “Hard to Love,” joins a roster of more than 150 artists who will perform during the festival on “The Farm” at Great Stage Park, the 700-acre event space located 60 miles southeast of Nashville.

Eminem, The Killers and Muse will be the festival’s headliners. Other performers include Future, Bassnectar, Sturgill Simpson, Bon Iver “performing two unique sets,” Khalid, Kaskade, Paramore, Alt-J, Dua Lipa, Sheryl Crow, Anderson.Paak, Sylvan Esso, Nile Rogers & Chic, Playboi Carti, Broken Social Scene, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, Thundercat, Mavis Staples, Amadou & Miriam, T-Pain and many more.

Tickets go on sale Friday, January 12 at 10:00 am ET, exclusively via www.bonnaroo.com.

Selena Gomez Notches 11th Top 20 Hit on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart with “Wolves”

It’s Lucky No. 11 for Selena Gomez…

The 25-year-old Mexican American singer/actress has notched her eleventh Top 20 hit on the Billboard Hot 100, as her collaboration with Marshmello, “Wolves,” soars 51-20 on the chart dated December 9.

Gomez’s notable surge on the chart was fueled by her performance of the song at the American Music Awards, as well as the November 18 debut of its official video.

The collaboration vaults 34-5 on the Digital Song Sales chart (35,000, up 194 percent, marking the Hot 100’s top sales gain) and 44-24 on Streaming Songs (16.5 million, up 46 percent) and enters Radio Songs at No. 47 (23 million, up 25 percent).

Marshmello makes his first trip to the Hot 100’s top 20, while Gomez earns her 11th appearance, and first since “Bad Liar” reached No. 20 in July.

“Wolves” additionally tops Hot Dance/Electronic Songs for a second (nonconsecutive) week, dethroning Marshmello’s other current hit, “Silence,” featuring Khalid.

The 25-year-old Mexican American singer/actress’ collaboration with Marshmello, “Wolves,” rises 7-1 on Billboard‘s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart dated November 18, following its first full tracking week.

The song debuted a week ago with a day’s worth of streaming and sales data.

Gomez, Billboard‘s 2017 Woman of the Year honoree, earns her second No. 1 and first as a lead act, after “I Want You to Know” (by Zedd featuring Gomez), which spent six weeks at No. 1 in March and April 2015. “Wolves” is Marshmello’s first leader on the list.

“Wolves” reigns with 13 million U.S. streams, 8 million in all-format radio audience and 28,000 downloads sold, according to Nielsen Music.

It holds at No. 1 on the Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales chart and soars 13-2 on the Dance/Electronic Streaming Songs chart, behind Marshmello’s “Silence” (featuring Khalid) in the latter’s 10th week at the top.

On the all-genre Billboard Hot 100, “Wolves” vaults 88-35. Gomez earns her 19th top 40 Hot 100 hit, and 14th in a row, dating to “Love You Like a Love Song” (by Gomez and The Scene), which hit No. 22 in March 2012. She’s notched four top 40 entries apiece in both 2016 and 2017.

Meanwhile, a toast to Marshmello, who celebrates his first top 40 Hot 100 hit. He previously hit a No. 42 high with “Silence,” which remains near its peak this week, at No. 50.

 

Camila Cabello Leads U.K. Midweek Sales Chart with “Havana”

Camila Cabello is making waves across the pond…

After three weeks in the runner-up position, the 20-year-old Cuban singer has the U.K. chart crown in her sights.

Cabello’s hit “Havana” climbs 2-1 on the midweek chart, with a 3,500 combined sales lead over the second-placed “Rockstar” by Post Malone featuring 21 Savage, which is unseated from the chart throne after four weeks. It’s the first time that “Havana” has led the Official Chart Update.

Meanwhile, Marshmello and Khalid’s “Silence” is unchanged at No. 3, Avicii and Rita Ora’s collab “Lonely Together” is unmoved at No. 4 and Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect” rises one place to No. 5.

Rita Ora could snaffle a second top 10 when the Official U.K. Singles Chart is published this Friday as “Anywhere” leaps 20-6, just up from Charlie Puth’s “How Long,” which follows a similar trajectory by soaring 18-7.

Marshmello, meanwhile, backs up his “Silence” hit with “Wolves,” a collaboration with Selena Gomez which bites into the chart at No. 14 for the highest debut on the current midweek survey.

The 21-year-old half-Cuban and half-Puerto Rican singer is Apple Music‘s newest Up Next artist.

Claudio follows in the footsteps of her upcoming tour partner 6LACK, a previous selection.

Apple’s Up Next program showcases emerging artists in music like previous Up Next alum Sigrid, Khalid, Mr. Eazi and Daniel Caesar.

To coincide with the announcement, Apple Music will release an exclusive interview with the “Belong To You” singer and Beats 1 host Ebro Darden as well as a short documentary on the singer’s humble beginnings.

The announcement comes on the heels of Claudio’s newest project About Time and ahead of her upcoming 28-city jaunt with 6LACK. On Monday (October 23), the singer will also make her television debut with a live performance on The Late Late Show with James Cordon.

“What am I afraid of as an artist? I guess I was scared before of just not being heard,” Claudio says in the trailer of her doc. “But I’m too loud now.”

Jessie Reyez is planning to haunt the Bay Area…

Vevo wants to make it a happy Halloween for music fans in San Francisco. After four years in the U.K., the streaming platform is bringing its flagship Halloween event to the U.S. for the first time.

Vevo will host simultaneous shows at the Craneway Pavillion in San Francisco and Victoria Warehouse in Manchester on Saturday, October 28, featuring live sets from rising acts supported this year on Vevo Lift, including the 26-year-old Colombian singer-songwriter.

Reyez joins a lineup that includes Khalid, Julia Michaels and Aminé.

They’ll perform for 4,000 guests at the U.S. leg with a fifth artist to be announced in due course.

The U.K. lineup features Jonas Blue, JP Cooper, Rag ‘n’ Bone Man and Yungen.

Kehlani is ready to funk things up with Calvin Harris…

The 22-year-old part-Spanish American singer is set to appear on the Scottish DJ and record producer’s forthcoming album, Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1.

Harris released a video teaser via Twitter for the album with Kehlani’ name appearing as one of the featured artists on his LP.

Others include Frank Ocean, Travis Scott, Future, Pharrell Williams, Katy Perry, Big Sean, John Legend, Khalid, Migos, Schoolboy Q, Ariana Grande, Yung Thug, D.R.A.M., Nicki Minaj, Lil Yachty, Jessie Reyez, Partynextdoor, and Snoop Dogg.

Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1 gives the sense of a departure from the usual Harris sound, a hint amplified by the much groovier, toned-down disco funk vibe of the soundtrack tune. The sunset visual background fits perfectly with the song’s laidback style. The clip also features vocals from Khalid and Future.

Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1 is scheduled for release Friday, June 30.

Fat Joe to Appear at 10th Annual Roots Picnic in Philadelphia

Fat Joe is returning to his Roots…

The 46-year-old Puerto Rican and Cuban American rapper is among the performers confirmed for this year’s 10th annual Roots Picnic in Philadelphia.

“Ten years ago this started as a concept, an idea, a conversation between me, Tarik (Black Thought), Ahmir (Questlove) and Rich (Nichols),” says Roots longtime manager and Maverick Management partner Shawn Gee of the milestone anniversary. “It’s amazing that it has grown into such a valued piece of the cultural landscape of our hometown of Philadelphia.”

Fat Joe, who was nominated for two Grammy Awards this year, will perform alongside Black Thought & J Period Live Mixtape, Mobb Deep and Scott Storch.

The festival, which will be headlined by Pharrell and The Roots, Lil Wayne and Solange, will again take place at Festival Piers at Penn’s Landing on June 3, 2017.

Other performers to grace the stage this year include 21 Savage, Kimbra, Khalid, Michael Kiwanuka and more.
