Charlie Sheen to Star in the New Hollywood Dramedy Series “Ramble On”

The 56-year-old part-Spanish American actor and former Two and a Half Men star will be heading back to television.

Charlie SheenHe has partnered with Entourage creator Doug Ellin for Ramble On, a new dramedy series set in Hollywood.

The series will star Sheen and Entourage’s Kevin Connolly and Kevin Dillon as themselves as Hollywood veterans looking to reinvent their voices alongside up and comers looking to establish their own.

It will also feature Sheen’s father Martin Sheen, Kimiko Glenn, Bre-Z, John C. McGinley, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Zulay Henao, Mark Cuban, James Hiroyuki Liao, Harvey Guillén, Ana Ortiz, Sara Sanderson, Mikaela Hoover and Adam Waheed with a guest appearance by Entourage alum Emmanuelle Chriqui.

Ramble On is produced by Angry Lunch, a new production company founded by Ellin and Ted Foxman, in association with Action Park Media. The pair will executive produce alongside Gary Goldman with Jeremy Alter producing.

A pilot episode, which is being financed by Foxman and Ellin, wrapped this week. The producers are in talks with buyers for the show but could also look at new ways of distribution.

“This idea has been spinning in my head for years and seeing it come to life is incredible,” said Ellin. “I feel beyond grateful that so many of my Entourage crew and cast members, along with some of the most talented, comedic forces in the industry, have joined us on this exciting new journey.  We cannot wait to share this with the world.”

Quiver Distribution & Redbox Entertainment to Release Bella Thorne’s Action-Comedy “Chick Fight” in November

Bella Thorne is bringing the fight to the big screen…

Quiver Distribution and Redbox Entertainment have acquired the North American rights to the action-comedy Chick Fight, starring the 22-year-old half-Cuban American actress/singer, Malin Akerman, Alec Baldwin and Kevin Connolly.

Paul Leyden directed the film, which will get a day-and-date release on November 13.

Written by first-time feature writer Joseph Downey, the plot follows Anna Wyncomb (Akerman), who’s introduced to an underground, all-female fight club in order to turn her life around, when she discovers she’s much more personally connected to the history of the club than she could ever imagine.

Dominique Jackson, former pro-wrestler Kevin Nash, Fortune Feimster, Dulcé Sloan, and Alec Mapa round out the cast.

Thorne’s previous credits include BlendedThe DUFFAlvin and the Chipmunks: The Road ChipAmityville: The Awakening and Infamous.

Alba to Make Cameo Appearance in “Entourage” Film

Nearly 5-years after the HBO series ended its run, Vinnie Chase and his posse are coming back. As this new trailer reveals Vince, Turtle, Drama, E and former super agent and now studio boss Ari Gold are back and larger than ever on the big screen.

The Warner Bros. film looks to be living up to its tagline of “Dream Large. Live Larger.” In addition to original cast members Adrian Grenier, Kevin Connolly, Kevin Dillon, Jerry Ferrara, and Jeremy Piven, the film also stars Alba, NFLers Russell Wilson and Tom Brady Liam Neeson, Voice coach and mega-producer Pharrell, Star Trek’s George Takei, Andrew Dice Clay, beloved billionaire Warren Buffett, Armie Hammer, Kelsey Grammer and Modern Family’s Ed O’Neil.

The Entourage movie opens in theaters on June 5.

Sigler to Star in Fox’s Hybrid Pilot “Fantasy Life”

It’s a sweet, sweet fantasy for Jamie-Lynn Sigler

The 33-year-old half-Cuban American actress has joined the ensemble cast of Fox’s multi-camera/hybrid pilot Fantasy Life.

The former The Sopranos actress will co-star opposite Kevin Connolly, Vanessa Williams, and James Caan .

Based on the memoir by one of U.S.’ top fantasy experts, ESPN’s Matthew Berry, the project was written by Tim McAuliffe.

When hard-working Mitch (Connolly) lands his ultimate dream job hosting a fantasy football show, he’s forced to navigate office politics while becoming the star he never thought he could be.

Sigler will play Abby, a strong, confident, attractive, smart, sports analyst on Mitch’s Fantasy Football league show. Caan plays an ex-legendary football player/coach who also is working on the show. Williams plays Mitch’s new boss.

Sigler most recently co-starred in NBC’s Guys with Kids.

Trejo’s Ensemble Dramedy “Reach Me” to Hit Theaters in October

Danny Trejo’s latest project is headed to theaters in October…

Millennium Entertainment has acquired the U.S. rights to John Herzfeld’s dramedy Reach Me, which features the 70-year-old Mexican American actor as part of the all-star ensemble cast.

The film centers on a group of strangers whose lives collide as a result of a self-published motivational book by a reclusive author in hiding (portrayed by Tom Berenger). When the book’s positive message goes viral a tabloid journalist (Kevin Connolly), his editor (Sylveter Stallone), an arsonist ex-con (Kyra Sedgwick), a gunfighter cop (Thomas Jane), an alcoholic priest (Danny Aiello) and a dimwitted gangster all plow into each other and irrevocably impact each other’s lives. Trejo portrays Vic in the film.

Herzfeld wrote the script for the film, which was long in the works and was crowd-funded for finishing funds (initially on Kickstarter, before switching to Indiegogo).

Reach Me will be released in select cities and then be released via video on demand on October 24th.

It also stars Lauren Cohan, Nelly, Omari Hardwick, David O’Hara, Ryan Kwanten, Tom Sizemore, Elizabeth Henstridge and Kelsey Grammer.

“John Herzfeld has crafted an inspirational ensemble piece featuring Sylvester Stallone in a moving return to drama,” said Millennium’s Bill Lee.

“I’ve wanted to bring Reach Me to the screen for over a decade,” said Herzfeld. “To have the opportunity to create the film with such a tremendously talented cast is a filmmaker’s dream.”

Alba to Star in “The Wright Girls”

The 32-year-old half-Mexican American actress has signed on to star in The Wright Girls.

Directed by Entourage star Kevin Connolly, the film is based on the Japanese film 2LDK.

The story, based on a screenplay written by Bert V Royal,  centers on Kate and Vanessa, co-stars on a past-its-prime sitcom and roommates in real life. When they realize they are both up for the same lead role in a big movie that could catapult their careers, they go from best friends to worst enemies in the course of one action-packed night.

Production is set to begin in the second quarter of this year in Los Angeles.

Delfino Cast in “Friends with Better Lives” Pilot

Majandra Delfino will found out if the grass is greener soon…

The 32-year-old Venezuelan-born actress, who recently backed out of ABC’s comedy pilot Keep Calm And Karey On, has already landed her next role… one of the leads in another 20th Century Fox Television’s comedy pilot Friends with Better Lives.

Directed by James Burrows, the project centers on six 30-something friends who each think the other has it better.

Delfino, who rose to acclaim on the cult sci-fi classic Roswell, will play one of the friends, Andi. She is described as an attractive and vulnerable mother of an infant and 3-year-old twins who is married to Bobby (Kevin Connolly) and is best friends with Jules (Brooklyn Decker) and Kate.

Her other television credits include Men of a Certain Age, State of Georgia and Quarterlife.
