HBO Max to Premiere Second Season of “The Flight Attendant,” Featuring Rosie Perez, in April

HBO Max will premiere the second season of The Flight Attendant, featuring the 57-year-old Puerto Rican actress and activist, on April 21 with two episodes.

The eight-episode season continues with two new episodes on April 28, followed by one episode weekly, concluding May 26.

In Season 2, Cassie Bowden (Kaley Cuoco) returns with a fresh start in Los Angeles. She’s sober and moonlighting as a CIA asset in her spare time. But when an overseas assignment leads her to inadvertently witness a murder, she becomes entangled in another international intrigue.

The season filmed in Los Angeles, Berlin and Reykjavik.

Returning series regulars also include Perez, Zosia Mamet, Griffin Matthews and Deniz Akdeniz. T.R. Knight, Yasha Jackson, and Audrey Grace Marshall are returning recurring guest stars.

The season also stars new series regulars Mo McRae, Callie Hernandez, and JJ Soria, as well as new recurring guest stars Alanna Ubach, Cheryl Hines, Jessie Ennis, Mae Martin, Margaret Cho, Santiago Cabrera, Sharon Stone and Shohreh Aghdashloo.

The Flight Attendant is developed by showrunner Steve Yockey, who serves as executive producer alongside co-showrunner and executive producer Natalie Chaidez. Greg Berlanti, Cuoco, Sarah Schechter, David Madden, Suzanne McCormack, and Silver Tree are executive producers. Jess Meyer is co-executive producer and Bonnie Munoz is producer.

The series is produced by Warner Bros. Television, Cuoco’s Yes, Norman Productions, and Berlanti Productions. Season one was based on the novel of the same name by New York Times bestselling author Chris Bohjalian.

The 46-year-old Puerto Rican and Mexican American actress will appear on Season 2 of HBO Max’s critically acclaimed series The Flight Attendant as a recurring guest star.

The Max Original, based on Chris Bohjalian’s 2018 novel of the same name, centers on Cassie Bowden (Cuoco), a reckless flight attendant with an alcohol problem who in Season 1, wakes up in the wrong hotel, in the wrong bed, with a dead man—and no idea what happened.

Season 2 finds Cassie living her best sober life in Los Angeles while moonlighting as a CIA asset in her spare time. But when an overseas assignment leads her to inadvertently witness a murder, she becomes entangled in another international brouhaha.

Ubach will play Carol Atkinson, also known as Black Market Carol, a perfectly groomed, icy flight attendant who is not a fan of Cassie.

Ubach is best known for her work in the Legally Blonde films, along with her turn as Mamá Imelda in Disney/Pixar’s Coco, and as Jo Hernandez-Frumpkis in the Bravo series Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce.

She recurs opposite Kate Beckinsale on the Paramount+ series Guilty Party, and will return for the sophomore seasons of Disney+’s Monsters at Work, HBO’s Euphoria, and Hulu’s Crossing Swords.

The actress has also appeared in Netflix’s Maya and the Three, Fox’s Filthy Rich, FX’s Snowfall, AMC’s Dietland, Amazon’s Hand of God, Showtime’s Californication and HBO’s Hung, among others.

Additional film credits include BombshellGloria Bell, To the Bone, Bad TeacherRango, Waiting and its sequel Still Waiting and Clockwatchers.

This past Emmys season, The Flight Attendant scored eight nominations and one honor for Outstanding Original Main Title Theme Music.

Hernandez will play Gabrielle Diaz, a quick-tempered and calculating bounty hunter whose impulse control issues often get in the way of her job.

Soria joins the cast as Esteban Diaz, Gabrielle’s partner and lover who tries to keep a level head and stay focused on the job, but often gets just as heated as his girlfriend.

Cabrera will join the cast as Marco.

HBO Max has renewed The Flight Attendant, starring the 56-year-old actress, choreographer and community activist and Kaley Cuoco, for a second season.

The series, based on the book of the same name by bestselling author Chris Bohjalian, centers on alcoholic, globe-trotting flight attendant Cassie Bowen (Cuoco) who becomes embroiled in an espionage plot following her affair with a first class passenger, who winds up murdered after their night together.

Flight Attendant was originally intended to be a limited series, but series creator and EP Steve Yockey knew there was more string he could pull upon.

The series finale leaves Cassie in a position to encounter more global intrigue.

HBO Max reports that the first season of Flight Attendant saw week-over-week growth and ranked as the streamer’s No. 1 series overall during its run. The eight-episode first season debuted November 6.

Flight Attendant has a 98% fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes and Cuoco has received high praise for her comedic-dramatic turn as a woman continually coming to terms with her torturous past.

The series also stars Perez, Michiel Huisman, Zosia Mamet, Michelle Gomez, T.R. Knight, Colin Woodell, Merle Dandridge, Griffin Matthews and Nolan Gerard Funk.

HBO Max has made the series premiere episode of The Flight Attendant, starring the 56-year-old Puerto Rican actress and community activist, available to stream now for free ahead of its Thursday, November 26 premiere.

The comedic dark thriller starring and executive produced by Kaley Cuoco will debut with three episodes on Thanksgiving Day.

Following its debut on HBO Max, the series’ premiere episode will also air on HBO linear channel, On Demand, and on select partners’ streaming platforms starting on Friday, November 27 at 10:00 pm ET/PT during a Free Preview Weekend offered by participating partners, as well as on TBS at 10:30 pm ET/PT on Sunday, November 29 as part of an HBO Max-themed marathon over Thanksgiving weekend.

The limited series continues with two new episodes on December 3, followed by two new episodes on December 10, leading up to the finale episode on December 17.

Based on the novel by Chris Bohjalian, the series is a story of how an entire life can change in one night. A flight attendant (Cuoco) wakes up in the wrong hotel, in the wrong bed, with a dead man – and no idea what happened.

Lela Loren to Star Opposite Kevin Hart in Sony’s Action Comedy “Man From Toronto”

The 40-year-old half-Mexican American actress has joined the cast of Sony’s action comedy Man From Toronto.

The film stars Kevin Hart, Woody Harrelson and Kaley Cuoco.

The film centers around a case of mistaken identity after the world’s deadliest assassin, known as the “man from Toronto,” and a stranger, played by Hart, run into each other at an Airbnb. Chaos soon ensues as the assassin’s world comes crashing down on Hart.

Patrick Hughes is on board to helm. Robbie Fox and Chris Bremner wrote the script from a story he conceived with Jason Blumenthal.

The film is set to debut on September 21, 2021.

Loren will star on the third season of the Starz series American Gods from Neil Gaiman, which will start airing in January.

Most recently she starred opposite Anthony Mackie in Netflix’s second season of Altered Carbon. She also has the Halle Berry film Bruised, which Netflix just acquired at Toronto.

The Flight Attendant is among shows whose production was affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. It resumed production in New York this fall after shutting down in March.

Jencarlos Canela to Star Opposite Kevin Hart in the Action Comedy “Man From Toronto”

The 32-year-old Cuban American actor-singer will join the ensemble cast of the Sony Pictures’ action comedy Man From Toronto, starring Kevin Hart and Woody Harrelson.

Serricchio’s “The Wedding Ringer,” Starring Kevin Hart, Opening Next January

Make your calendar! Ignacio Serricchio latest film project is headed for the big screen next January.

The 31-year-old Argentine actor and soap opera star’s The Wedding Ringer, starring comedian Kevin Hart, will hit theaters on January 16, 2015, during Martin Luther King, Jr. weekend.

Serricchio, best known for his roles on The Young and the Restless and General Hospital, stars as Edmundo in the film.

The Wedding Ringer is described as a comedy about a loner and the friendship he forms with the guy he hires to pose as the best man at his upcoming wedding.

The Screen Gems/Miramax film, directed by Jeremy Garelick, also stars Josh Gad, Kaley Cuoco and Jorge Garcia.

Serricchio Joins Cast of “The Wedding Ringer”

Ignacio Serricchio is reporting for wedding duty…

The 31-year-old Argentine American actor has been added to the cast of Kevin Hart and Josh Gad’s comedy The Wedding Ringer, which is currently in production.

Helmed by Jeremy Garelick in his feature directorial debut, the film centers on Hart, a charismatic guy named Jimmy who provides best man services for socially challenged guys who can’t get somebody to agree to stand by them on the day of their wedding.

Gad portrays a groom-to-be who finds himself in just such a situation. To make matters worse, he makes up the names of not only a best man but nine groomsmen as well. When all else fails, he seeks out Jimmy’s services to carry out a charade designed to make him look his best but threatens to destroy everything if it fails.

The film was written under the title The Golden Tux by Garelick and Jay Lavender during the time they were writing partners on films like The Break-Up.

No word on Serricchio’s role in the film, but our money’s on him playing one of Gad’s groomsmen.

Along with Hart, Gad and Serrichio, who is best known for playing Diego Alcazar on General Hospital and as Alejandro “Alex” Chavez on The Young and the Restless, the film also stars Kaley Cuoco, Olivia Thirlby, Jorge Garcia and Cloris Leachman.
