There’s no doubt Louis C.K. is the current “King of Comedy”…
The 44-year-old half-Mexican American actor/comedian features prominently among the just-announced nominees for the 28th Annual Television Critics Association Awards.
Louis C.K., who received a Critics’ Choice Television Award nomination earlier this week, received a nod in the Individual Achievement in Comedy category for his starring role on FX’s Louie. Other nominees include Girls’ creator and star Lena Dunham Veep’s Julia Louis-Dreyfus, The Big Bang Theory’s Jim Parsons and Parks and Recreation’s Amy Poehler.
In addition, Louis C.K.’s critically acclaimed series, which he created, has been nominated in the Outstanding Achievement in Comedy category. Other nominees include The Big Bang Theory, Community, Modern Family and Parks and Recreation.
Winners of the 28th Annual TCA Awards will be announced at an invitation-only presentation on Saturday, July 28, 2012, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, as part of the group’s bi-annual industry conference.
