The 26-year-old Puerto Rican Latin trap and reggaeton singer has joined voices with Jhay Cortez to release the genre-bending reggaetón track “Dakiti.”
The futuristic single, set to an edgy synth riff, was produced by Bad Bunny, Cortez and Tainy.
The music video, directed by Stillz that was released with the song finds Bunny and Cortez in the middle of the ocean performing inside a floating glass box. They then take the party underwater where they get to pilot their own submarines.
Watch until the very end for an intriguing message that reads: “El Último Tour del Mundo.”
Univision has announced the 2020 Premios Juventud nominations, with the 35-year-old Colombian reggaeton singer leading the pack.
Balvin received 12 nominations, including Video with a Purpose for the heart-wrenching “Rojo,” This Choreo Is On Fire for the dancetastic music video to “Amarillo,” and And Featuring, for being an artist that everyone wants to sing with.
He’s followed by Karol G, who picked up nine nods.
The 29-year-old Colombian reggaeton singer is nominated for Can’t Get Enough of This Song for her hit collaboration with Nicki Minaj, “Tusa,” Breaking the Internet, and Nailed It, for having the best manicure.
Bad Bunny picked up eight nominations, including The Traffic Jam (for songs you listen to while stuck in traffic) for “En Casita,” Sneakerhead and Scroll Stopper.

The 17th edition of the awards show includes 28 different categories with new and modified categories Spicy Regional Songs, The Perfect Mix, The Quarantune, OMG Collaboration, #StayAtHomeConcert and Influencer with a Cause.
For the first time, Ana Patricia Gámez, Francisca Lachapel, and Borja Voces will host the three-hour live event beginning at 8:00 pm ET on Thursday, August 13, preceded by “PJ Takeover,” a one-hour pre-show hosted by Jomari Goyso, Clarissa Molina and Amara La Negra, beginning at 7:00 pm ET.

ASCAP (The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers) has revealed the winners of the most performed songs of the past year in Latin music, with the 26-year-old Puerto Rican singer and rapper taking the top honor for the first time in his career.
Bad Bunny, who’d previously won the ASCAP Song of the Year award for his Cardi B & J Balvin collaboration “I Like It.,” was named the ASCAP Songwriter of the Year at the ASCAP Latin Music Awards. He won the prestigious award on the strength of seven of his recognized singles, including “Callaita,” “La Cancion,” “Que Pretendes,” and “Solo de Mi.”
Romeo Santos picked up the Songwriter/Artist of the Year award. The 38-year-old Puerto Rican and Dominican American singer earned the honor for penning the recognized singles “Aullando,” “Canalla,” and “Inmortal.”
The Song of the Year award went to Daddy Yankee’s “Con Calma,” featuring Snow.
The 43-year-old Puerto Rican reggaeton rapper/singer’s uptempo reggaeton and dancehall song, a reimagination of Snow’s chart-topping single “Informer,” was YouTube’s most viewed music video of 2019.
Other recognized artists include Gerado Ortiz (“Aerolinea Carrillo”), Becky G (“Bubalu”), Farruko & Pedro Capo (“Calma (Remix)”), Marc Anthony (“Parecen Viernes”),Jhay Cortez (“Reggaeton,” “Hola” ) and Carlos Vives(“Si Me Das Tu Amor”).
Universal Music Publishing Group was bestowed the Publisher of the Year award and the Independent Publisher of the Year award went to Kobalt Songs Music Publishing.
Due to the coronavirus, this year’s winners were announced via ASCAP’s social media platforms: @ASCAPLatino and @ASCAP. The innovative virtual format allowed fans, friends and peers to join in the online celebration.
The virtual event, hosted by Greeicy Rendón and Mike Bahía, also included special performances and appearances by: Marc Anthony, Descemer Bueno, Pedro Capó,Desmond Child, Jhay Cortez, Darrell, Natalia Lafourcade, Lunay, Silverio Lozada andSebastián Yatra, among other music creators.

The 27-year-old Puerto Rican rapper and singeris set to speak at this year’s LatinFest+ by Billboard and Telemundo, taking place from April 20 to 23 in Las Vegas.
He’ll participate in a panel titled “Viva Live with Anuel,” where he’ll talk about the making of his upcoming new album to be released under Sony Music Latin.
Anuel earned his first No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Latin Albumschart with his 2018 debut album Real Hasta la Muerte(on the list dated July 28).
After the global success of hits like “Ella Quiere Beber,” “Secreto,” and “China,” his new single “KEII” opens at No. 3 on the Hot Latin Songschart (dated February 22), earning him his first top 10 debut of the year on the tally and his 14th top 10 overall.

With the year nearing its end, the 42-year-old Puerto Rican reggaeton rapper/singer leads YouTube’s most-viewed music videos of 2019.
YouTube ha sunveiled its year-end stats, revealing its top global music videos of the year, with seven out of the top 10 clips belonging to or featuring Latino artists.
Daddy Yankee and Snowcrown the list with their emoji-filled dance party “Con Calma,” followed by Rosalíaand J Balvin’s sky-high “Con Altura” featuring El Guincho. Both videos have amassed more than 1 billion views since their release.
Further proving the impact of Latin music globally, the top 5 most-viewed music videos also include Anuel AA and Karol G’s “Secreto” (No. 3); Anuel AA’s “China” in collaboration with Daddy Yankee, Karol G, Ozunaand J Balvin(No. 4); and Jhay Cortez’s “No Me Conoce (Remix)” with J Balvin and Bad Bunny (No. 5). The 25-year-old Puerto Rican Latin trap and reggaeton singer has landed six songs concurrently in the top 10 of Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart, setting a new record for the most songs by an artist in the top 10 at the same time.
On the chart — which blends airplay, sales and streaming data to rank to the most popular Latin songs of the week — all eight of Bad Bunny’s Oasis’ songs, his No. 1 joint album with J Balvin, debut on the list dated July 13.
The Oasis parade is led by “Qué Pretendes,” which debuts at No. 2. Another Oasis track, “La Cancion,” bows within the top 10, at No. 10.
So, that’s two Bad Bunny cuts in the top 10, which joins four other Bad Bunny songs already in the region, at No. 3 (“Callaita,” with Tainy), No. 4 (“MIA,” featuring Drake), No. 5 (“Soltera,” with Lunayand Daddy Yankee) and No. 8 (“No Me Conoce,” with Jhay Cortezand J Balvin).
