Forget Dora… It looks like the hottest children’s pre-school program is Argentina’s El Jardín de Clarilú.
The program, the first regional production from Disney Junior Latin America, has earned one of the top prizes at this weeken’s first-ever International Emmy Kids Awards.
In El jardín de Clarilú, starring Agustina Cabo, Thomas Lepera, Andres Espinel, Sophie Oliver and Leandro Zanardi, Clarilú and her loyal dog Pencil receive a mysterious letter that presents the premise of each episode. The letter, which has been written by an anonymous character, gives Clarilú two clues and she must discover who the letter is from.
El jardín de Clarilú combines animation with live-action.
International Emmy Kids Awards, sponsored by International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, is solely dedicated to recognizing excellence in children’s television programming produced and initially aired outside of the United States.
