The 31-year-old Mexican American actress/singer’s upcoming new song “Single Soon” debuts at No. 1 on Billboard’Hot Trending Songs chart, powered by X, dated August 26.

“Single Soon” has a release date of August 25 but was announced with an X post on August 17.

“Since I’m not quite done with SG3 [Gomez’s upcoming album], I wanted to put out a fun little song I wrote a while back that’s perfect for the end of summer,” she wrote.

The song will be her first taste of new music since the Spanish-language EP Revelacion, which was released in March 2021.

“Jealousy” premiered in full on July 28, but its release was first teased on with a video posted to Offset’s social media on July 24 starring Jamie Lee Curtis. Two days later on July 26, its title – and Cardi B’s involvement – was revealed.

It’s Cardi’s second No. 1 on Hot Trending Songs, which began in 2021, after she was also featured on Latto’s “Put It On Da Floor Again” this April. Meanwhile, it’s Offset’s first solo appearance on the survey.

“Jealousy” reigns over a variety of songs from Travis Scott’s newly released album Utopia, which came out July 28, after the tracklist was revealed July 27. “Skitzo” leads the pack at No. 2, followed by “Meltdown” at No. 3, and “Modern Jam” joins the group in the top 10 (No. 6).

“Remix Exclusivo” premiered March 16 as Feid’s first release of 2023, following 2022 album Feliz Cumpleanos Ferxxo Te Pirateamos El Album and EP Sixdo.

Concurrently, the song earned 2.8 million official U.S. streams March 17-23 en route to a No. 38 debut on the Hot Latin Songs chart. Internationally, it starts at Nos. 78 and 102 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. and Billboard Global 200 lists, respectively.

“Remix Exclusivo” reigns over Salman Khan’s new release, “Jee Rahe the Hum (Falling in Love),” from the upcoming Hindi-language film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, at No. 2. Khan is also a star of the film, set for release April 21.

The 58-year-old half-Mexican American musician and his fellow Metallica mates’ single “If Darkness Had a Son,” the latest taste of the hard rock band’s upcoming album, 72 Seasons, debuts at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Trending Songs chart dated March 11.

Metallica“If Darkness Had a Son” is the third song to be released from 72 Seasons, following the premieres of lead single “Lux Æterna” and fellow promotional single “Screaming Suicide.”

Both songs also made the weekly Hot Trending Songs survey upon release, with “Lux Æterna” reaching No. 6 (Dec. 10, 2022) and “Screaming Suicide” hitting No. 7 (January 28).

“If Darkness Had a Son” debuted on March 1, and thanks to two days of sales and streams, the track concurrently bows at No. 12 on the latest multimetric Hot Hard Rock Songs chart via 1.1 million official U.S. streams and 1,000 downloads, according to Luminate.

72 Seasons, Metallica’s 11th studio album and first since 2016’s Hardwired… to Self-Destruct, is due April 14.
