Bad Bunny Becomes First Latino to Achieve No. 1 Album Debut on Apple Music

Bad Bunny’s making Apple Musichistory…

The 26-year-old Puerto Rican Latin trap and reggaeton singer’s Los Que No Iban a Salir is currently the No.1 album on Apple Music, making Bad Bunny the first Latino artist to achieve a No.1 debut on Apple’s All-Genre charts.

Bad Bunny

Bad Bunny posted the news to his Instagram Stories on Monday.

The 10-track collection arrived as a massive surprise on Sunday, even though he’d revealed bits and pieces of the record during his epic IG live performance the night of May 2.

Bad Bunny’s ahead of Kehlani’s It Was Good Until it Wasn’tLittle Richard hits comp that’s soaring in the wake of the rock ‘n’ roll pioneer’s passing, as well as the solo debut of Paramore’s Hayley Williams.

Only two of the cutting-floor tracks on the album, “Bad Con Nicky” and “Pa’ Romperla” (with Don Omar) have landed in the top 200 songs on Apple Music’s top songs chart, though. That means that Bad Bunny fans are listening to his album of resurrected gems from start to finish—over and over again.

Gomez Reportedly Working with Zedd on Next Album

Selena Gomez is ready have stars dancing again…

The 22-year-old half-Mexican American singer/actress, who is hard at work on the follow-up to her solo album Stars Dance, may be preparing to record and release more scorching dance tunes, with help from EDM genius Zedd.

Selena Gomez

Gomez posted a photo of herself on Instagram on Thursday night (Jan. 8) with the caption, “Studio flow tho @zedd,” before quickly removing the image.

Ravenous Selenators caught the post before it was deleted, however, and Zedd confirmed the Thursday night meet-up by posting a photo of the pop star on his own account

When Zedd is not producing hits like “G.U.Y.” for Lady Gaga or “Break Free” for Ariana Grande, he has scored hits under his own name, with songs like “Clarity” (featuring Foxes) and “Stay The Night” (with Paramore‘s Hayley Williams).

Zedd also co-produced “Beauty and a Beat,” a Top 10 hit for Gomez’s ex, Justin Bieber.

Gomez’s dancetastic Stars Dance, released in 2013, became her first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart. She then slowed things down with her current Top 20 hit “The Heart Wants What It Wants.” The track is featured on Gomez’s greatest-hits package For You.

Gomez’s next album will be her first for Interscope Records, after the singer parted from her longtime home of Hollywood Records last year.
