For his 26th birthday, the Colombian singer and songwriter decided to celebrate with new music, recruiting his good friend Guaynaafor witty and flirtatious lyrics.
Coined “Chica Ideal,” Yatra and Guaynaa have joined voices for a fresh twist on the 2003 hit “Quiero Una Chica” by Latin Dreams.
“I’m in love with every single part of the song,” Yatra tells Billboard. “It was worth taking the risk because the original song is pure joy and happiness and has that touch of nostalgia that takes you back to your best days.”
Produced by Ovy on the Drums, Yatra elaborates on why Guaynaa was the best fit for this collaboration. “I went to one of his showcases during Premio Lo Nuestro, and his energy onstage drove me crazy. His vibe, his originality. I had to work with him,” he expressed. “It’s so amazing to do this song in the way we did it and the way Guaynaa sings in it.”
In the music video, Yatra and Guaynaa are seen playing basketball in the year 2020 with a group of people wearing masks. After losing the ball and searching for it in the woods, they wind up at a lit pool party (pandemic-free) in the year 2021.
The release of “Chica Ideal” marks a new stage in Yatra’s personal life and career, which he says have evolved because of the global health crisis. “When I sum up my year, I think it’s all been very positive if you look at it from the right perspective,” he concludes.
Celebrating its 30th anniversary as the longest-running and biggest Latin music industry event, the three-day immersive experience dedicated to Latin Music, culture and entertainment, will feature intimate artist conversations, industry panels, workshops and performances. Additional participants and schedule will be announced in the coming weeks.

Guaynaais ready to give the ladies a little net flexand thrill…
The rising Puerto Rican star has released the music video for his latest single, “Buyaka.”
In the video, Guaynaa appears as a strong handyman who owns a company — but instead of fixing your issues, they make them worse. At the end, all of his employees lap dance on their customer.
“The video had to be something different from what is coming out from other artists,” Guaynaa tells Billboard. “We went along the line that women are seeing as an object and I wanted to change that for men.”
“Buyaka” follows Guaynaa’s previous song “Chicharron” (with Cauty); it’s his second former single under Universal Music Latino Entertainment.
The Puerto Rican rapper has joined voices with Guaynaa, Jon Z and Rafa Pabón to launch “La Pelúa” remix.
In Puerto Rico, “La Pelua” is a refrain that’s sung at parties or at some fun time among friends and always indicates the person who should dance it.
“Queremos que (name) nos baile la pelúa, por aqui y por allá.“
“La Pelúa is a song for all the ladies who are natural and humble so that they feel safe and have a good time in her own,” PJ Sin Suela tells Billboard.
Now, PJ Sin Suela’s version with Guaynaa, Jon Z and Rafa Pabon completely twists the fun chorus. The single is a fusion of rhythms from cumbia to reggaeton with up tempo beats that create a sexy urban rhythm that with its lyrics describe how the person is dancing la pelúa.
The video for La Pelúa remix recreates an everyday scene of growing up in Puerto Rico. PJ Sin Suela, Jon Z, Rafa Pabón and Guaynaa can be seen having fun riding bikes, checking out girls, having a car wash and playing as a band in the garage. The chemistry between the four artists is captured in the video directed by long-time collaborator Edgar Cruz Robles and Pedro-Juan Vázquez Bragan (PJ Sin Suela).
“We are friends so it was a pleasure to work with them and the video is a typical summer in Puerto Rico, that if cleaning cars in the carwash, running bike, trying to learn music, is very colorful and I hope everyone enjoyed it,” concluded PJ Sin Suela.
The 50-year-old Spanish singer’s collaboration with Camila Cabello, “Mi Persona Favorita,” has been certified gold in the U.S. and Puerto Rico by the RIAA.
The flamenco pop ballad is part of Sanz’s latest album #ElDisco, and it carries a positive message by highlighting all of the beautiful qualities a person has.
Sanz and Cabello released the track on March 28. The song has reached No. 1 in Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Nicaragua and Panama.
On August 28, Sanz will be kicking off his #LaGiratour in Chicago which is set to visit 15 cities including two shows in Miami, FL.
Today, RIAA also handed out certifications to works by several Latin acts, including Marc Anthonywith his album Opus, Guaynaa’s “Rebota,” and “Si Me Das Tu Amor” by Carlos Vivesand Wisin.
