Nicky Jam to Perform as Part of Good Morning America’s Annual Summer Concert Series

Nicky Jam is helping to wake up America this summer…

Good Morning America‘s annual Summer Concert Series is returning in July, with the The 43-year-old Puerto Rican and Dominican American urban singer-songwriter part of the lineup.

Nicky JamNicky Jam will appear from Central Park on the ABC morning show on Friday, August 9.

This year’s genre-spanning lineup also includes rockers Green Day celebrating the 30th anniversary of Dookie and the 20th anniversary of “American Idiot,” country star Carrie Underwood and more.

The annual concert series kicks off its run of eight shows on July 19 with Kane Brown in New York City’s Central Park, and includes rapper G-Eazy on August 16 at the show’s Times Square studio, and closes September 6 with country band Old Dominion, also at GMA‘s studio.

The performances set for Central Park will take place at Rumsey Playfield. For those interested in the shows in the park — which will be free and open to the public — information on how to attend is available on Good Morning America‘s website.

The concerts held at the Times Square studio will not have a live audience.

All of the performances will air between 7:00 and 9:00 am ET during the morning show’s broadcast, though some will air at 1:00 pm ET on GMA3: What You Need to Know, as well as 4:00 pm ET and 6:00 pm ET during ABC News Live.

Last year’s concert series kicked off with BTS superstar Jung Kook in Central Park. Carly Rae Jepson; Fat Joe with Busta Rhymes, Remy Ma and Bia; Tim McGraw and more also performed for the morning show.

The Regional Mexican group made its late-night television debut this week on Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon.

Eslabon ArmadoThe renowned Música Mexicana group was joined by Gabito Ballesteros—also making his first appearance on Fallon—to perform their hit collaboration “La Fresa.”

The Tonight Show is one of the top shows in the entire country, and I’ve grown up watching the show since I was a kid,” frontman Pedro Tovar said in a statement. “I’ve always seen the biggest stars be on the show, and being able to perform on the Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon is a major milestone crossed in our career.”

Their performance comes on the heels of Eslabon Armado’s performance on Good Morning America, where they made history as the first Musica Mexicana group on the show.

To kick off Hispanic Heritage Month festivities, the Regional Mexican band performed on ABC’s Good Morning America on Friday, September 15 — making history as the first Regional Mexican band ever to sing on the show.

Eslabon Armado,Eslabon Armado, from Patterson, Calif., performed their blockbuster hit “Ella Baila Sola.” The sierreño song with Peso Pluma peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200 chart.

“I think it’s a blessing for us,” said Eslabon’s lead singer Pedro Tovar minutes before performing on GMA. “It’s totally another feeling for us … we’ve been on other shows but this is one of the most important one for us. I remember going to school and my teachers putting on the Good Morning America show.”

The 12-year-old Puerto Rican singer, the daughter of Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony, has released her first book, Lord Help Me.

Proud mamá J.Lo spoke with Good Morning America about Emme, who sang with her at this year’s Super Bowl Halftime Show, and her love of sloths, which inspired the tween’s prayers book.

Emme came up with the idea with her nanny as she thought kids needed to be taught to pray, according to Lopez.

“They just kind of had this conversation, and she was like, ‘Maybe we can write a book where we can save the sloths, and we can use the money to save the sloths,'” Lopez told GMA. “I’m so proud of her to author her first book at 12 years old. She’s way, way ahead of me.”

Fifth Harmony to Perform During Good Morning America’s 2017 Summer Concert Series

The Latina singers and their fellow Fifth Harmony members, Normani Kordei and Dinah Jane, have been added to the lineup for Good Morning America‘s 2017 Summer Concert Series.

Fifth Harmony will take the stage on the third week (June 2) of the 17-week series, which takes place live from the SummerStage in New York City’s Central Park.

The Summer Concert Series will kick off on May 19 with Green Day performing songs from their latest, Revolution Radio.

Other schedules appearances include Florida George Line, The Chainsmokers, The Lumineers, Little Big Town, Bebe Rexha, Big Sean, Lady Antebellum and many others.

All the concerts are free and open to the public and will take place at Rumsey Playfield in Central Park on Fridays from 7:00 – 9:00 am ET.
