Versace Releasing Watch Inspired by Jennifer Lopez’s Iconic Grammys Dress

Versace has released a special watch inspired by the jungle-print dress the 50-year-old Puerto Rican star made famous at the Grammys in 2000.

The green gown made a return to the runway for Milan Fashion Week spring/summer 2020, when the Hustlers star and Oscars hopeful strutted down the runway in a redux of the design in September. 

This time, Versace is releasing the pattern in watch form, selling for $1,495. 

The Medusa Frame jungle-print timepiece with Roman numerals will head to stores in May. It comes with an interchangeable black leather strap for a more subtle swap.

The Lopez dress was back in the headlines in November, when the Italian fashion house sued Fashion Nova for knocking off several of its designs, including Lopez’s iconic gown. The runway look was worn as a popular Halloween costume for fans in 2019. 

“Versace seeks to bring an end to Fashion Nova’s latest brazen attempt at copying the work of yet another famous and world-renowned designer,” the court papers read.

Cardi B took to Twitter earlier this week to reveal the partnership with MUZIK,as well as askher followers, “what style would you guys like?”

There’s no word on when the headphones will be released.

This isn’t Cardi B’s first brand collaboration. She’s delved into the fashion world many times, teaming up with Fashion Nova, Steve Maddenand Reebok in the past.

The 26-year-old half-Dominican American rap superstar’s Fashion Nova x Cardi B line has sold out mere minutes after being released on Thursday night, setting a new record for the fashion brand.

The 82-piece collection, which includes crushed velvet, plaid suits, a chic pleather dress, ripped jeans, jackets and more, will be restocked, according to Fashion Nova.

ET was with Cardi B at the launch of her Fashion Nova X Cardi B collection in Los Angeles on Wednesday night, where she admitted that she was nervous about showcasing her styles.

“I’m actually very nervous because I hope that people like my collection. I know it’s a little bit different and I know people was not expecting what I was gonna drop,” the rapper explains. “So I hope it does good. I’m about to see so many people, so many celebrities, so it’s like, oh snappity, snap, snap!”
