The 25-year-old Mexican singer/actress has joined voices with two of Latin music’s hottest up-and-coming artists for her new single “Friend de Semana.”

In collaboration with Brazil’s Luisa Sonza and Spain’s Aitana, Danna Paola dropped the playful and catchy reggaeton-meets-cumbia track perfect for any friends with benefits.

Quiero bailar contigo este fin de semana / I just wanna see you pa’ matar la’ gana’ / Ya sabes que te toca entrar por la ventana / Tú no te aguantas, tú no te aguantas,” the powerhouses sing in the flirtatious lyrics.

Directed by Charlie Nelson in different parts of a school, the music video offers up major Elite vibes.

Miguel Bernardeau to Star in Gaumont & Grupo Ganga’s Dark Spanish Surf Drama “Playa Negra”

The 23-year-oldSpanish actor and Elite star will star in Gaumont and Grupo Ganga’s first Spanish co-production, the dark surf drama Playa Negra.

Gaumont is developing the project, which will be shot on location in the Canary Islands, as an eight-part one-hour drama.

The scripted series is being spearheaded by Spanish filmmaker Susana Casares, co-executive producer of Netflix’s Luis Miguel.

The YA drama is set in a fishing village on the Spanish island of Lanzarote.

Playa Negra follows newcomer Hugo, played Bernardeau, in his quest to get close to the man he suspects is his father. In the process, he befriends a tight-knit group of teens who dream of making it big in Lanzarote’s competitive surfing scene, and together become unwittingly embroiled in the island’s darkest secrets.

Gaumont’s SVP, Creative Executive, Head of Latin American and Spain Christian Gabelasaid the show combines a coming-of-age theme with elements of suspense.

“Alongside Susana and Grupo Ganga, we have created a concept that young adult audiences everywhere will identify with as they immerse themselves in not only the beauty of the location and the thrill of the sport but also the complexities facing the characters throughout series,” he added.

Bernardeau’s previous credits include CaronteSabuesos and Inhibidos.

Nacho Vigalondo’s Superhero Comedy Series “El Vecino” Among Five New Netflix Spanish Originals

The 41-year-old Spanish filmmaker will direct the Spanish superhero comedy series El Vecino, based on the graphic novels by Santiago Garcia and Pepo Perez

It’s one of five new projects announced by Netflix, as the company continues its investment in Spanish originals.

The five new projects which will launch on the service worldwide in 2020.

Elite‘s co-creator, Carlos Montero, has a new project in the works for NetflixEl Desorden Que Dejas is a psychological drama based on Montero’s own award-winning novel.

There are two female-centered series to come including dramedy Valeria based on the novels by Elísabet Benavent, and Días De Navidad starring Fortitude‘s Verónica EcheguiLas Chicas Del Cable‘s Anna Molinerand High Heels‘ Victoria Abril.

The fifth project is an anime adaptation of the best-selling novel Memorias De Idhun by Laura Gallego and produced by Endemol Shine’s Zeppelin

Netflix’s Vice President Original Series, Francisco Ramos, noted the “meaningful investment in the Spanish market” via the new projects and said the plan is to continue not only with series, but also movies, documentaries and unscripted.

In addition, Netflix is also in production on new seasons for hits La Casa De PapelLas Chicas Del Cable and Elite as well as new shows HacheAlta Marand Criminal.

– El Vecino: Javier’s life is not going well. The last thing he needs is for an alien to land on him and transfer its powers before dying. Now Javier is a superhero, but it turns out super powers are useless when you get fired from your job or your girlfriend decides she wants to take a break. Fortunately, Javier’s friend and neighbor José will teach him to use his powers for good and hide his secret identity, especially from his girlfriend who’s now investigating Titan, the mysterious superhero.
