Shakira Announces Dates for North American Leg of “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour”

Shakira is headed to an arena near you…

The 47-year-old Colombian superstar has revealed the dates for the first leg of her 2024 Live Nation-promoted North American tour, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour.

ShakiraNamed in honor of her new album of the same name, Shakira will play 14 arena shows across North America, beginning November 2 in Palm Desert, California, and ending December 15 in Detroit, Michigan.

Tickets for the tour will be available beginning Wednesday (April 17) via a Citi presale, with an artist presale beginning on Friday (April 19) at 10 am.

The general onsale begins on April 22 at 10 a.m. local time.

The official announcement comes after Shakira told fans during her Coachella performance with Bizarrap last weekend that she would be touring this year.

This is Shakira’s first tour since her 2018 El Dorado World Tour, which took her to stadiums and arenas around the world.

Shakira first hinted that she would be touring this year during her Q&A at Billboard Latin Music Week and her Billboard cover story last October. At the time, she said she would “definitely” tour in 2024, but provided no details.

Then, last month, following the release of Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran, she performed in New York City’s Times Square for a crowd of more than 40,000 fans.

During her new tour, Shakira is expected to perform her new hits, as well as her iconic global chart stoppers.

Karol G to Make Three “Mañana Será Bonito Tour” Stops in Mexico in Early 2024

Karol G is heading to Mexico…

As part of its Latin American leg, the 32-year-old Colombian singer-songwriter’s Mañana Será Bonito Tour will make three stops in Mexico, starting February 8 at the capital’s emblematic Estadio Azteca, promoter Ocesa has announced.

Karol GAccording to Karol G’s official website, the other two dates scheduled in Mexico are February 16, at the Estadio Mobil Super in the northern city of Monterrey, and February 23 at the Tres de Marzo stadium in Guadalajara.

Pre-sale for HSBC cardholders for the Estadio Azteca show begins next Monday and Tuesday (October 23-24), and the following day they will be available to the general public at the venue’s box office or through Ticketmaster, Ocesa said.

The show at the Estadio Azteca will be produced by Ocesa and Westwood. The collaboration between both promoters had previously occurred last December, when Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny sang at the same venue.

The nicknamed “Coloso de Santa Úrsula” has room for about 83,000 people, according to its website. Among other stars that have performed there are U2, Madonna and Vicente Fernández.

The last time that “La Bichota” performed in Mexico City was in June 2022, when she gave two sold-out concerts at the Arena Ciudad de México, where she had RBD’s Anahí and Mexican rock band Café Tacvba as special guests.

Karol G’s upcoming shows in Mexico, after her successful U.S. stadiums tour, mark the beginning of a journey through 18 Latin American cities, including in her native Colombia, Peru, Chile, Guatemala, Argentina and Brazil.

Her previous arenas stint, the 2022 $trip Love Tour, became the highest-grossing U.S. tour by a Latina in history. It grossed $69.9 million across 33 shows in North America, according to figures reported to Billboard Boxscore, surpassing Jennifer Lopez’s $50 million on the 2019 It’s My Party World Tour and Shakira’s $28.2 million on the 2018 El Dorado World Tour.

Last August, Karol G was the first Latina headliner at Lollapalooza. She subsequently released her second album of the year, Mañana Será Bonito (Bichota Season), six months after Mañana Será Bonito, which debuted atop the Billboard 200 becoming the first No. 1 by a woman singing in Spanish in the history of the chart.

Karol G Releases New Single “Cairo”

Karol G is ready to rock like an Egyptian…

The 31-year-old Colombian superstar has released her new track “Cairo,” an infectious track produced by her go-to producer Ovy On the Drums.

Karol GPenned by the team behind “Provenza” — Karol, Ovy and Keityn — “Cairo” is a head-bobbing earworm that thrives on a fusion of dance beats and Afrobeat. In the song, Karol sings about allowing herself to love again, even after swearing she wouldn’t.

“I’m not in love yet, but soon I will be,” she confesses.

“Cairo” follows Karol G’s “Gatubela,” which dropped in August. With the track, in collaboration with Maldy, the Colombian artist banked her 16th top 10 on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs with a No. 4 debut on the September 10-dated ranking.

She’s also slated to headline the 16th annual Calibash, taking place Jan. 21-22 at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. She joins a previously billed group of headliners that includes Ozuna, Myke Towers and Farruko.

With those figures, Karol G has now earned the highest U.S.-grossing tour by a female Latin act.

This year, Rosalía’s Motomami world tour has grossed $28.1 million through the end of October.

The AEG-produced $Trip Love stint, which kicked off on September 6 at Chicago’s Allstate Arena and wrapped up October 29 at Vancouver’s Rogers Arena, followed Karol’s Bichota Tour in 2021 — her first-ever headlining trek in the U.S. — which grossed $13.4 million and sold 192,000 tickets across 26 shows in North America.

Compared to her last tour, this one boasted a larger production scale. There was a heart-shaped stage, jumbo screens with a heart border, and a floating turquoise Ferrari that, when she rode it to sing “El Makinon,” brought her closer to her fans. On stage, Karol was joined by eight female dancers, four male dancers, two exotic dancers and, of course, her all-girl band.

After wrapping up the tour in North America, Karol G took to social media to write: “Thank you God for the conviction you have given me. Thank you to all the people that worked with me day and night to make this dream possible and to the artists who shared the stage with me during the tour. You made the show shine even more with your presence. We enjoyed this tour like we were little kids, but worked like machines. This is for my home, Colombia.”

Karol G, who is releasing a new song on Sunday (November 13), is currently working on her forthcoming album, which will follow her chart-topping, Grammy-nominated 2021 set KG0516. The album scored Karol her first-ever No. 1 album on Billboard‘s Top Latin Albums chart.

Shakira Announces New El Dorado World Tour Dates

Shakira is hitting the road again…

After announcing the cancellation of her European tour due to strained vocals, the 40-year-old Colombian superstar has reappeared on social media to announce the new dates for El Dorado World Tour.

“I wanted to write one more letter to express my gratitude to all of you for the immeasurable love and support that you have sent me these past few weeks,” Shakira wrote. “Thankfully, I am so relieved and happy to share with you that I will be getting back on the road in June 2018 with my El Dorado World Tour in Europe, and the US, with Latin America dates to be announced soon.”

Shakira’s tour has been completely rescheduled, and now will start on June 5 in Cologne, Germany.

The “Perro Fiel” singer also announced the new dates for the tour’s U.S. leg, which was supposed to start in January. The new dates have been set to begin on August 5 in Chicago, IL and will visit 18 other cities, including Miami, Los Angeles, New York, Dallas and Las Vegas.
