Joanna Garcia Returning for Series Finale of ABC’s “Once Upon a Time”

Joanna Garcia is swimming back to ABC…

ABC has announced on the Once Upon a Time Facebook page that several actors are returning for the series’ penultimate episode 721 and the series finale, including the 38-year-old Cuban American actress.

Garcia will return to portray The Little Mermaid’s Ariel. She first appeared as the iconic Disney Princess in Season 3, and she last appeared in Season 6.

Other cast members scheduled to return include Tony Amendola (Marco), Lee Arenberg (Leroy), Robbie Kay (Peter Pan), Sean Maguire (Robin Hood), Victoria Smurfit (Cruella De Vil) and Keegan Tracy (Mother Superior).

It was already been announced that Bev Elliott (Granny Lucas) and Jared Gilmore (Henry Mills) are returning.

At a recent screening of their midseason premiere, co-creator Edward Kitsis promised that in the series finale “We’ll see many familiar faces to the end.”

At the time Kitsis and Adam Horowitz weren’t ready to confirm the rumor that’s been out there about Jennifer Morrison coming back one last time, or departing Once Upon a Time company players Gennifer Goodwin, Josh Dallas, and Emilie de Ravin.

No hints on the series finale yet, though Kitsis said it’s  “less about tying everything up in a bow, rather hearing the song one more time.”

It looks like Oprah isn’t the only celebrity to grace the cover of her own magazine…

Once Upon a Time star Lana Parrilla appears on the cover of the hit ABC fairy tale drama’s new magazine.

Titan Magazines is publishing two special collector’s edition magazines, with the  first issue going on sale Tuesday. The second edition will go on sale this summer.

The magazine will serve as a companion to the series, with 148 pages of content including cast interviews with Parrilla, Jennifer Morrison, Jared Gilmore and Meghan Ory, as well as interviews with the show’s creators Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis. Other components in the magazine include making-of features and a guide to season one.

The second issue will include an interview with Ginnifer Goodwin, among other features.

Once Upon a Time airs at 8 p.m. Sundays on ABC.

Garcia to Guest Star on ABC’s “Once Upon a Time”

Jorge Garcia will soon be appearing in a giant role on one of last season’s biggest new series…

The 39-year-old half-Cuban/half-Chilean American actor/comedian will portray the Giant in an episode of ABC’s Once Upon a Time, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

With plans for a Jack and the Beanstalk episode, it’s believed that Garcia will appear in that hour of the ABC fairy-tale drama’s upcoming second season

The casting marks a reunion for all involved: Once Upon a Time showrunners Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis served as producers on Lost, on which Garcia played Hurley.

In the new season, Once Upon a Time will be introducing new characters Mulan (Jamie Chung), Sir Lancelot (Sinqua Walls), Sleeping Beauty (Sarah Bolger), Prince Phillip (Julian Morris) and Captain Hook (Colin O’Donoghue).

Garcia’s most recent stint was on Fox‘s sci-fi series Alcatraz as Dr. Diego Soto. He also signed on to guest star on Showtime’s Californication.

Once Upon a Time returns at 8:00 pm on Sunday, September 30 on ABC.
