Kevin Alves to Appear on Netflix‘s Comedy Series “No Good Deed” in Recurring Role

The 32-year-old Canadian-Brazilian actor and former figure skater has landed a recurring role on Netflix‘s eight-episode comedy series No Good Deed from creator Liz Feldman.

Kevin AlvesAlves, who appears on Yellowjackets, plays Nate, the strait-laced, hard-edged son of Mikey (Denis Leary), with whom he has a strained relationship.

Ray Romano and Lisa Kudrow lead the cast, which also includes Linda Cardellini, Luke Wilson, Abbi Jacobson, Poppy Liu, Leary and O-T Fagbenle.

No Good Deed is a half-hour, dark comedy that follows three very different families vying to buy the very same 1920s Spanish-style villa that they think will solve all their problems. But as the sellers have already discovered, sometimes the home of your dreams can be a total nightmare.

Feldman serves as showrunner and executive produces alongside Will Ferrell and Jessica Elbaum for Gloria Sanchez Productions, Christie Smith, and Silver Tree, who will direct the pilot and additional episodes.

Sherry Thomas and Russell Scott are overseeing casting.

Best known for his role as a teenaged Travis on Showtime’s hit series Yellowjackets, which is heading into its third season after landing 10 Emmy nominations in its first two go-rounds, the Canadian-born Alves previously recurred on Netflix’s Locke & Key and Freeform’s Shadowhunters.

His additional TV credits include Two Sentence Horror StoriesThe ExpanseDegrassi: The Next Generation and Warehouse 13.

Next, Alves will be seen starring in the comedy Lucky Weekend, which he directed from his own script, in his feature debut.

Kevin Alves Upped to Series Regular on Showtime’s “Yellowjackets”

Kevin Alves will be seeing more yellow(jackets) next season…

The 30-year-old Brazilian Canadian actor and figure skater, who portrays Travis Martinez on Showtime’s Yellowjackets, has been upped to series regular.

Kevin AlvesTravis is the son of Bill Martinez, the head coach of the Yellowjackets girls soccer team. The players were bound for the nationals when their plane crashed in the wilderness of Canada and the coach was killed.

Travis, who’s a guarded and insecure teen, ended up starting a romance with Natalie Scatorccio, played by Sophie Thatcher as a teen and Juliette Lewis as an adult.

Travis was played as an adult in season one by Andres Soto.

Before Yellowjackets, Alves recurred for two seasons on Shadowhunters as Bat Belasquez and Locke & Key as Javi Gonzalez.

He previously appeared on Warehouse 13 and as Fabio on Degrassi: The Next Generation.

New cast members set for the second season of Yellowjackets include Elijah WoodLauren Ambrose and Simone Kessell.

The drama is from Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson and is produced for Showtime by studio Entertainment One (eOne).

Olivo Lands Recurring Role on FX’s Horror Drama “The Strain”

The 38-year-old part Chilean and part Spanish/Basque actress, singer and model has joined the cast of FX’s horror drama The Strain in a recurring role for its upcoming third season.

The thriller, from Guillermo del Toro and Carlton Cuse, is based on the best-selling The Strain Trilogy by del Toro and Chuck Hogan.

Olivo will play Kate Rogers, who commands a squad of NYPD combatants.

Olivo, who starred on Chicago P.D., recently guest-starred in an episode of CBSBlue Bloods and recurs on Degrassi: The Next Generation.

Olivo will recur as Laura Dawson, a businesswoman and the wife of Antonio Dawson (portrayed by Jon Seda).

Olivo, best known as a member of the band Soluna, has previously starred on Degrassi: The Next Generation, Warehouse 13, Friday the 13th and the Broadway musical Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark.
