Bad Bunny continues volando into the record books…
The 27-year-old Puerto Rican singer has collected his record-extending 42nd and 43rd top 10s on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart as “De Museo” rises 11-8 and “Volando,” by Mora, Bad Bunny and Sech, debuts at No. 7, on the July 24-dated survey.
The former rises on the strength of streaming activity: It earned 6.2 million U.S. streams, up 34%, in the week ending July 15, according to MRC Data.
As for “Volando,” the cut — which was originally a solo track by Mora — garnered a new remix on July 8 with Bad Bunny and Sech. As the remix drives the bulk of the song’s chart activity, all three artists are credited. It’s the first top 10 for Mora. The track registered 6.4 million streams in the U.S., enough for a No. 5 start on Latin Streaming Songs.
Bad Bunny’s 43 top 10s are the most since the chart launched in 1986. Enrique Iglesias and Luis Miguel continue to be tied for the second-most, both with 39.
Here’s a look at the Latin artists with the most top 10s (at least 29) on the multi-metric (airplay, digital sales, and streams) Hot Latin Songs chart:
43, Bad Bunny
39, Enrique Iglesias
39, Luis Miguel
36, Daddy Yankee
34, J Balvin
30, Shakira
29, Chayanne
29, Cristian Castro
“De Museo,” Bad Bunny’s second new solo single of 2021, follows his five-week ruler “Yonaguni” which this week falls 1-2, as Kali Uchis’ “Telepatía” retakes the crown. The latter earlier spent four weeks atop the list.
With “De Museo” entering the top 10, Bad Bunny rises to 556 weeks in the chart’s top tier, the fourth-most weeks in the region, trailing Daddy Yankee who remains at the helm with a total of 629 weeks, J Balvin (621), and Enrique Iglesias (620).
Beyond its progress on Hot Latin Songs, “De Museo” makes its first visit on Billboard’s all-genre Billboard Hot 100 chart, arriving at No. 94. The track joins another Bad Bunny debut: “Volando,” with Mora and Sech, at No. 89, for a total of four placements on the tally as “Yonaguni” and “AM,” with Nio García and J Balvin, rank at No. 38 and No. 66, respectively.
