Rauw Alejandro has landed a new publishing deal…
The 27-year-old Puerto Rican rapper, singer and composer has signed an exclusive co-publishing deal with Warner Chappell Music.
The worldwide deal covers Rauw’s releases going forward.
“He’s a creative and fearless writer who isn’t afraid to push the boundaries and experiment with his sound,” said Gustavo Menendez, Warner Chappell Music, Latin America president, in a press statement. “Since breaking onto the scene he’s consistently released hit after hit, and has made a name for himself in the growing Latin urban space.”
Rauw, who was nominated for best new artist at the 2020 Latin Grammys, is currently making the rounds with his debut studio album Afrodisiaco, which opened at No. 3 on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums chart (dated November 28) and arriving at No. 75 on the all-genre Billboard 200. Additionally, “Tattoo,” with Camilo, “De Cora <3,” with J Balvin, and “Reloj” with Anuel AA, all entered the Hot Latin Songs chart this year.
“The team has done a great job connecting me with other producers for some of my favorite collaborations so far, and it’s a pleasure to now have them represent my music,” Rauw said, expressing he feels honored to form part of the Warner Chappell family.
Menendez added: “It’s been a joy to see Rauw’s work get the recognition it deserves, and all of us at Warner Chappell are thrilled to be working alongside him for what is sure to be a long career ahead.”
Rauw joins the publisher roster that includes Latin urban’s major rising acts including Jhay Cortez, Lunay, Duki, Omy de Oro, Nio Garcia, Lalo Ebratt, and Ecko, to name a few.
