Noomi Rapacehas found a new obsession…
The trailer has been released for the 39-year-old half-Spanish actress’ latest film, the thriller Angel of Mine.
“You have no idea what it’s like to lose a child,” says Rapace in the trailer for the film, which centers on a grieving and unraveling mother named Lizzie (Rapace), who lost her infant daughter years earlier.
When Lizzie sees a young girl at a neighbor’s party, she starts to believe the girl is her own daughter. This as she’s about to lose custody of her son and, apparently, off her meds.
Lizzie, who we learn “was committed for almost a year,” is barely keeping it together. And now “she is stalking our family,” says the girl’s mom (Yvonne Strahovski). She’s right, and harrowing scenes of obsession, uncertainty and genuine terror ensue.
Luke Evans and Richard Roxburgh also star in the thriller directed by Kim Farrant from a script by Luke Davies and David Regal.
Lionsgate opens Angel of Mine, which is based on the 2008 French film L’Empreinte de l’Ange, day-and-date on August 30.
