Miguel & DJ Premier Release Music Video for Their Collaboration “2 Lovin U”

Miguel is doin’ some lovin

Two weeks after the 31-year-old half-Mexican American singer and DJ Premier released their collaboration “2 Lovin U,” the dynamic duo have made it official by releasing a music video for the track.

The electric offering stems from their sessions together during production of Miguel’s third album Wildheart.

The 2016 effort featured a different version of “2 Lovin U” titled “Damned.”

The video showcases couples entranced by the power of love. While DJ Premier powers the turntables, Miguel holds his weight vocally on the romantic record.

The former Saturday Night Live star and Emmy-nominated actor and his new band mates will perform a one-night-only Hollywood show together.

The Living End‘s Chris Cheney and the Damned‘s Captain Sensible round out a roster that also includes Slim Jim Phantom (Stray Cats), Mike Peters (the Alarm), and Duff McKagan (Guns) for the September 14 show at Los Angeles’ Troubadour.

The group plans to perform a set list including songs by individual members, “old favorites,” and some newly created material as well.

Special guests are promised, and if Armisen’s other recent live shows are any indication, that could mean a stellar night of rockers, comedians, and some of punk’s founding fathers.

Tickets for the show go on sale this Friday.
