Scotty McCreery has landed his first CMT Awards nomination.
The 18-year-old part-Puerto Rican country crooner and American Idol winner scored a nod in the USA Weekend Breakthrough Video of the Year category.
McCreery—who claimed his first ACM award for New Artist of the Year last month—will face off against his American Idol challenger Lauren Alaina, as well as newcomers Brantley Gilbert, Hunter Hayes, Pistol Annies and Thompson Square.
