La Adictiva Banda San Jose de Mesillas’ is back at the top of the charts…
The banda sinaloense’s “El Amor De Mi Vida” rises to the summit of Billboard’s Regional Mexican Songs airplay chart with a 3-1 rise on the July 6-dated chart.
The song traces its jump to an 8% increase in audience impressions (to 8 million) logged in the week ending June 30, according to Nielsen Music.
“We are beyond happy and grateful with our audience for making this happen,” Guillermo Garza, lead vocalist of the band, tells Billboard. “Every time we release a single, it becomes a new dream with the objective of reaching the top and for our listeners to learn to love it. When that happens, well, it fills us with great satisfaction!”
“El Amor De Mi Vida” becomes La Adictiva’s eighth No. 1 overall (and fifth straight crown) dating back to May 2011 when “Te Amo y Te Amo” arrived at the top in its 16th week and reigned for nine nonconsecutive weeks; its longest charting title at No. 1.
“El Amor De Mi Vida” is the third single off their upcoming album and follows “Con Todo Lo Incluido,” a former No. 1 (March 30-dated tally).
The new ballad, written by Horacio Placencia, also secures a top 10 spot on the Latin Airplaylist, climbing 12-8. La Adictiva collects its eighth top 10 on that chart.
