Lunay to Perform at This Year’s Premios Juventud

Lunay is preparing for a performance for the Juventud.

Premios Juventud 2024 officials have revealed the first round of performers, with the 23-year-old Puerto Rican singer and songwriter among the artists set to take the stage on July 25

Lunay will perform “No Te Quieren Conmigo” on the show.

He’ll be joined by fellow Puerto Rican star Luar La L.

Other confirmed artists include Camila, Darell, DJ Adoni, Emilia, Los Ángeles Azules, Prince Royce, Wisin and Yovngchimi.

The awards show will take place at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot, under the theme Atrévete a Más. The event will air live on Univision and ViX, starting at 7:00 pm ET/6:00 pm CT.

Reggaetón pioneer Wisin is also set to host the event, in addition to surprising audiences with a world premiere of a new song during his performance. Lele Pons and Clarissa Molina will also be sharing hosting duties.

Having secured seven Premios Juventud awards in the past, Camila will grace the stage once again, debuting their upcoming single “Mía” from their forthcoming album Regresa, which is scheduled for release on August 1.

Fresh off their stadium tours in Chile and Argentina, the Mexican pop balladeers are set to commence their upcoming tour across Mexico, the United States, Central and South America.

Los Ángeles Azules are set to make their first television performance alongside Argentine star Emilia to sing their new collaboration “Perdonarte ¿Para Qué?”

This year, the Mexican cumbia icons are nominated in three categories, including favorite group or duo of the year and best regional Mexican collaboration with Alejandro Fernández for “La Cumbia Triste.”

Emilia also boasts three nominations, including best pop/urban album for .MP3 and girl power for “La_Original.mp3” alongside TINI.

From Puerto Rico, rapper Yovngchimi will deliver the Latin drill track “TU$$I,” which was released late last year, originally starring Dei V.

The 28-year-old Mexican singer, model and actress will perform at this year’s Premios Juventud.

Paola is part of a roster of new performers that includes Camilo, Carin Leon, Denise Rosenthal, Eslabon Armado, Farruko, Fernando Villalona, Ilegales, Jandy Ventura, Los Hermanos Rosario, Pavel Núñez, Sofia Reyes and Toño Rosario.

Paola will make her television debut at Premios Juventud with her latest single, “1Trago”.

Returning to the stage that catapulted her career, Reyes is set to captivate the audience with her infectious hit “Marte”.

Broadcasting live from the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot on July 20, the show will kick off at 7:00 pm ET/6:00 pm CT with the electrifying pre-show program, Noche de Estrellas, setting the stage for a thrilling night of entertainment.

And brace yourself for the exhilarating ‘Hora Loca’ (Crazy Hour), which will add an extra dose of fun and surprises to the celebration.

Bad Bunny Defeats Damian Priest in Hellacious San Juan Street Fight at “WWE Backlash” Event

Bad Bunny is experiencing some serious backlash…

The 29-year-old Puerto Rican superstar defeated his former friend-turned-foe Damian Priest in a hellacious San Juan Street Fight at WWE’s premium live event Backlash on Saturday night.

The build-up to the match was dramatic: last month, Bad Bunny involved himself in a skirmish between Priest’s villainous group, The Judgment Day, and WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio. Priest — the stable’s muscle — showcased his unrelenting power, chokeslamming his former friend through a table.

Weeks later, Bad Bunny returned the favor, mercilessly attacking Priest with a kendo stick and challenging him to a San Juan Street Fight at the same show he would be hosting in Puerto Rico.

On Friday (May 5), Bad Bunny and Priest engaged in a face-off at the Backlash press conference, where the two exchanged verbal and physical blows. Priest shoved bad Bunny, and the musical titan sealed things with a slap, setting the table for Saturday night’s hotly anticipated showdown.

Saturday night at Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot, bad Bunny reveled in the hometown fervor, soaking in the electricity from the sold-out crowd.

Sauntering down the ramp to his 2017 song “Chambea,” Bad Bunny had a supermarket cart with several weapons on display, including kendo sticks, trash cans, and a bicycle chain. The 20-minute brawl was a battle of attrition. Priest’s brute strength and Bad Bunny’s daredevil abilities highlighted the clash of styles and had wrestling aficionados buzzing.

Bad Bunny dazzled as he landed an array of moves, most notably a tornado DDT from the top turnbuckle. To continue his high-flying antics, Bunny delivered a cross-body drop to Priest on the outside, leaving the big man stunned. While Benito flexed his surge of offense, Priest was equally dominant and merciless. He attacked Bad Bunny with kendo sticks and later slammed him through a table with a resounding Broken Arrow, causing WWE officials to check on the banged-up singer. Distraught by Priest’s onslaught, fans wondered if Bunny could continue the match, but indeed he did.

Things intensified when members of Priest’s crew, The Judgement Day, came to his rescue and began viciously assaulting Bad Bunny inside the ring. Initially, the numbers game seemed overwhelming for the hometown hero until help arrived in the form of WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio and former WWE Puerto Rican legends Savio Vega and Carlito. A vicious battle ensued between Priest’s faction and Bad Bunny’s allies, which later increased after Mysterio’s LWO crew came out and assisted in the efforts. Embroiled in combat outside the ring left Priest and Bad Bunny back where they started — inside the square circle.

After Priest escaped a figure-four leglock submission, a hobbled Bad Bunny attempted to end the match with a Sliced Bread No. 2, but to no avail, as Priest kicked out before the three count. Bad Bunny’s signature move, the Bunny Destroyer, would leave Priest in the dust as he secured the three count and was triumphantly lifted in the air by his LWO peers in the middle of the ring.

The match was one of the night’s best, as Bad Bunny proved why he’s a hit in and out of the ring.

Rauw Alejandro Leads Pack of Premios Tu Música Urbano Nominees with 12 Nods

The nominees have been announced for this year’s Premios Tu Música Urbano, with the 30-year-old Puerto Rican singer leading the pack with 12 nods.

Among Rauw Alejandro’s nominations, the “Beso” singer is up for Artist of the Year, Top Social Artist and Song of The Year for “Lokera,” featuring Lyanno and Brray.

This year’s Premios Tu Música Urbano will take place at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot in San Juan

The awards show will not only recognize top urban artists but also artists from other genres—such as tropical, pop and Regional Mexican—who have experimented with the urban realm, across 32 categories.

Bad Bunny to Host WWE’s Live Event “Backlash” in Puerto Rico

Bad Bunny will be experiencing some backlash at home…

The 28-year-old Puerto Rican global superstar and Grammy winner will host Backlash, WWE’s live event set to take place on May 6 at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot in San Juan.

“In 2005 when I was a kid, I wasn’t able to attend New Year’s Revolution at el Coliseo,” the Puerto Rican hitmaker said in a statement. “Finally, 18 years later WWE returns to the island with a massive event, and this time I won’t miss it.”

“We’re excited to bring Backlash to San Juan as the demand for WWE premium live events outside of the continental United States continues to grow,” added WWE chief content officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque. “Bad Bunny is one of the world’s most popular entertainers and nowhere is that more evident than in his native Puerto Rico.”

Bad Bunny’s love for WWE is no secret. In 2021, the “Booker T” singer had a stint during a tag-team match against The Miz and John Morrison at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Fla., for WrestleMania 37.

Most recently, video game company 2K released a first look at Bad Bunny in WWE 2K23, the newest installment of the WWE video game franchise. From hitting the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania rings in 2021 to becoming a virtual playable character, Bad Bunny flaunts his wrestling skills in a new 40-second trailer.

This is the first time the artist has appeared in the game.

Daddy Yankee Celebrates Historic Run at el Coliseo de Puerto Rico with Three-Part “DY2K20” Special on YouTube

Daddy Yankee’s celebrating his history-making run at el Coliseo de Puerto Rico that’s sure to get you to dame más gasolina…

A year after making history at the San Juan, Puerto Rico venue with a streak of 12 sold-out shows, the 43-year-old Puerto Rican rap superstar has gifted fans with DY2K20, a three-part special of his Con Calma Pal’ Choli concerts.

The YouTube concert special, which encourages fans to make donations to Feeding America, kicked off last Friday, December 4, with a 50-minute first part, where Yankee sang some of his biggest hits, including “Rompe,” “Lo Que Paso, Paso,” “Shaky Shaky,” “Machucando,” “Mayor Que Yo” and many more.

Showcasing the epic concerts that took place in December 2019 at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot in San Juan, the second part will premiere on December 14 and the final part on December 21 on the artist’s official YouTube page.

“This year has been difficult for all of us and what better way to start the Christmas season, if not by remembering and celebrating the anniversary of one of my greatest achievements as an artist and I hope it fills you all with great joy,” the reggaeton superstar said in a press statement.

“Con Calma Pal’ Choli,” produced by Yankee’s longtime manager Rafael Pina, marked Yankee’s first show in 12 years at the prolific concert venue. Selling more than 170,000 tickets in a month, Yankee also set the record as the artist with the most shows at the venue, surpassing Wisin & Yandel, who in 2018 performed eight shows.
