Collins Jr. to Star in USA Network’s Supernatural Drama Pilot “Evil Men”

Clifton Collins Jr. is an evil man…

Following lengthy discussions, USA Network has closed a deal with CBS Television Studios for a pilot order to Evil Men, a supernatural drama pilot starring the 44-year-old Mexican and Spanish American actor and Dallas Roberts.

The project, to be directed by Gary Fleder, was written by Daniel Taplitz (Breakin’ All The Rules). It follows Harry Killas (Roberts), an upstanding, middle-class family man whose life is turned upside down when he is approached by a frighteningly powerful entity and commanded to kill “evil men” or see his family — along with his city — utterly destroyed. However, the gleeful psycho who is meant to be his first target, instead begins teaching him how to carry out his new destiny.

Collins will play Lazlo Kirk, the profoundly evil former war criminal with magnetic charm and a deep, unpredictable violent streak, who forces himself into Harry’s life on a twisted mission of personal redemption.

Filming is slated to begin in early December in Vancouver.

“This supernatural drama is a symbolic tale of good versus evil set in the everyday modern world,” said Jackie de Crinis, Executive Vice President of Original Programming at USA Network, “It is a highly relatable story that begs the question of just how far we would go to protect our families.”

Open Road Films to Release Collins Jr.’s “Triple Nine” in September 2015

All heist will be on Clifton Collins Jr. next September…

Open Road Films has announced plans to release Triple Nine, starring the 44-year-old Mexican and Spanish American actor, on September 11, 2015.

In addition to Collins Jr., the John Hillcoat-directed heist thriller also stars Casey Affleck, Woody Harrelson, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Kate Winslet, Anthony Mackie, Aaron Paul, Teresa Palmer, Gal Gadot and Norman Reedus.

Triple Nine centers on a crew of dirty cops who are blackmailed by the Russian mob to execute a virtually impossible heist. The only way to pull it off is to manufacture a 999, police code for “officer down.” Their plan is turned upside down when the unsuspecting rookie they set up to die foils the attack, triggering a breakneck, action-packed finale filled with double-crosses, greed and revenge.

Clifton Collins, Jr. is on Cloud Nine, Nine, Nine…

The 43-year-old Mexican and Spanish American actor has joined the cast of John Hillcoat’s cop drama Triple Nine.

Collins, Jr., last seen on the big screen in Guillermo del Toro’s Pacific Rim, joins Woody Harrelson, Casey Affleck, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Kate Winslet in the Matt Cook-scripted drama about a crew of dirty cops who are blackmailed by the Russian mob to execute a virtually impossible heist. The only way to pull it off is to manufacture a 999, police code for “officer down”. Their plan is turned upside down when the unsuspecting rookie they set up to die foils the attack. That triggers double-crosses, greed and revenge.

Triple Nine will begin shooting next month.

Collins Jr. to Star in ABC’s Drama Pilot “Secrets & Lies”

It’s a case of secrets & lies for Clifton Collins Jr. …

The 43-year-old Mexican and Spanish American actor has signed on to co-star alongside Ryan Phillippe, Juliette Lewis and KaDee Strickland in ABC’s drama pilot Secrets & Lies.

The project centers on Ben (Phillippe), a family man who becomes the prime suspect in the murder of a young boy when he finds the body.

Collins, who appeared on the network’s short-lived drama Red Widow last season, will portray Ben’s childhood friend and the tenant in Ben’s pool house who is unwaveringly supportive of Ben.

Collins most recently starred in Guillermo del Toro’s Pacific Rim and guest-starred on NBC’s The Blacklist. His other television credits include The Event, Southland and Alias.

He’ll next appear opposite Johnny Depp in Transcendence.

Collins, Jr. Signs with Resolution Entertainment

Clifton Collins, Jr. finally has a little Resolution in his career…

The 43-year-old Mexican American actor has signed with Resolution Entertainment.

Collins, Jr. most recently starred in Guillermo del Toro’s Pacific Rim and opposite Jennifer Lopez in Parker.

He first gained acclaim in 1997 as gang thug César Sánchez in the film One Eight Seven. His credits include appearances in Capote, Babel and 2009’s Star Trek.

The third time’s the charm for Guillermo del Toro…

The 48-year-old Mexican director has released the third and final trailer for his highly anticipated monster movie Pacific Rim.

In the new clip, Idris Elba‘s character Stacker Pentecost enlist Charlie Hunnam’s washed-up pilot Raleigh Becket for a last-ditch attempt to save humanity.

Becket will team with rookie Mako Mori (Rinko Kikuchi) to steer the giant Jaeger robots as they go after the relentless Kaiju monsters.

Charlie Day, Clifton Collins Jr., Ron Perlman, Robert Kazinsky and Max Martini also star.

Pacific Rim opens nationwide on July 12.

First Full-Length Trailer for del Toro’s “Pacific Rim” Released

Guillermo del Toro’s Pacific Rim is shaping up to be the blockbuster of the summer…

Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures has released the first full-length trailer for the 48-year-old Mexican director’s monster movie.

The trailer expands on footage that was unveiled at WorldCon last month.

Pacific Rim centers on an alien attack that threatens the Earth’s existence, and the giant robots piloted by humans that the government deploys to fight off the invasion.

It stars Charlie Hunnam, Idris Elba, Charlie Day and Clifton Collins Jr.

Pacific Rim opens nationwide on July 12.

First Trailer Released for Lopez’s “Parker”

If you loved Jennifer Lopez in Out of Sight, then you’re in for a treat…

The 43-year-old Puerto Rican actress/singer is starring in the action film Parker with Jason Statham, as previously reported… And by the looks of the film’s just-released first trailer, la Lopez shines bright in the film.

Based on the series of best-selling novels by Donald E. Westlake, Parker follows Statham’s titular character, a professional thief who lives by a personal code of ethics: “Don’t steal from people who can’t afford it and don’t hurt people who don’t deserve it.” But, on his latest heist, his crew double crosses him, steals his stash, and leaves him for dead.

Determined to exact revenge, Parker tracks them down to Palm Beach, where the crew is planning their biggest heist ever. Donning the disguise of a rich Texan, Parker takes on an unlikely partner, Leslie (J.Lo), a savvy insider, who’s short on cash, but big on looks, smarts and ambition. Together, they devise a plan to hijack the score, take everyone down and get away clean.

Directed by Taylor Hackford, the cast includes Michael Chiklis, Nick Nolte, Wendell Pierce, Clifton Collins Jr., Patti LuPone and Emma Booth.

The movie is set to open on January 25.

ABC to Launch Collins Jr.’s “Red Widow” in January…

It’s official! Clifton Collins Jr. will be seeing Red this January…

ABC has officially announced the network’s midseason schedule, with the 42-year-old Mexican American actor’s much-anticipated new series Red Widow getting a prime spot.

Red Widow will inherit recently cancelled 666 Park Avenue’s post-Revenge slot on Sunday nights at 10:00 pm ET.

Starring Radha Mitchell and Goran Visnijc, Red Widow centers on a woman who following her husband’s murder is lured into his double life with the mob. Collins will star as FBI agent James Ramos.

This is Collins’ latest television project, following his starring role on NBC’s sci-fi drama The Event and guest-starring role on CSI: NY.

Pascal to Appear on ABC’s “Red Widow”…

Pedro Pascal has landed a widow role on a highly anticipated midseason drama series…

The Latino actor has signed on for a recurring role on the midseason ABC drama Red Widow, which stars Clifton Collins Jr. as a series regular.

The new series stars Radha Mitchell as a housewife who takes on the mob and the FBI after her mobster husband is killer.

Pascal will play Joe Crumb, a long-haired, tattooed artist who is deeply in love with Kat Lazarev (Jaime Ray Newman), but his joy in marrying her is tempered by his reservations about her Russian mob family.

Pascal’s previous credits include guest-starring roles in NYPD Blue, Nurse Jackie and Law & Order: Criminal Intent, as well as recurring roles on Brothers & Sisters, The Good Wife and Lights Out.

But Pascal and Collins aren’t the only Hispanic actors set to appear on Red Widow…

Fernanda Andrade has also signed on for a recurring role on the midseason ABC drama series. The 28-year-old Brazilian actress, who starred in the surprise hit thriller The Devil Inside, will play Eva Ramos, a former agent who becomes a drug addict.
