Tom Segura Signs with WME (William Morris Endeavor)

Tom Segura has new representation…

The 42-year-old half-Peruvian American comedian, actor and podcaster has signed with WME (William Morris Endeavor) for representation in all areas.

Tom SeguraSegura is best known for his Netflix specials Ball HogDisgracefulMostly Stories and Completely Normal.

While he’d planned to unveil an additional Spanish-language special on Netflix last fall, its release has been delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Segura previously released the hour-long stand-up albums White Girls With Cornrows and Thrilled in 2012 and 2010, respectively.

He’ll kick off his latest world tour, I’m Coming Everywhere on December 31, with two shows at the Hawaii Theater Center in Honolulu, and will continue touring throughout 2022.

Segura’s film credits include Paramount Pictures’ comedy Instant Family, in which he starred opposite Mark Wahlberg and Rose Byrne, comedian Steve Byrne’s The Opening ActJustin Dec’s horror-thriller Countdown and Cameron Van Hoy’s crime drama Flinch.

He’s appeared on the television side in The Cabin with Bert KreischerWorkaholicsHappy Endings and more.

Segura also has his own podcast network, Your Mom’s House Studios, which he runs with his wife, comedian Christina Pazsitzky. It’s home to the hit podcasts Your Mom’s House, which he co-hosts with Pazsitzky, and 2 Bears 1 Cave, which he co-hosts with Bert Kreischer, among others. Notably, YMH Studios was one of the first networks to create successful livestream podcast events as a creative outlet amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, which has disrupted the stand-up scene to varying degrees over the last 20 or so months.

Tom Segura Signs Two Stand-Up Special Deal with Netflix, Including First in Spanish

Tom Segura is switching tongues for laughs…

The 40-year-old half-Peruvian American comedian, who speaks Spanish fluently, has signed a deal with Netflix for two stand-up specials, his fourth and fifth for the streamer, including his first in Spanish.

The English-language Tom Segura: Ball Hog,which was filmed live at the Moody Theaterin Austin, Texas, premieres March 24. 

The second untitled special will be shot completely in Spanish this fall.

“Netflix has rapidly changed the way comedy is consumed around the world, and by releasing a Spanish language special, I look forward to being able to reach a new audience that Jo Koy and Ali Wong will never get,” quipped Segura. “Estoy muy emocionado por la oportunidad de entretener las amigas de mi mama,” he added.

Segura, who grew up in a half Peruvian/half American household speaking fluent Spanish, has been staking his claim in the elusive Latin American comedy crossover market by performing both in English and Spanish.

His new Spanish-language podcastTom Segura En Español is the 6th podcast from Your Mom’s House Studios, the production shingle created by Segura and his wife, comedian Christina Pazsitzky, who has two stand-up specials of her own streaming on Netflix. 

Their flagship show,Your Mom’s House, features A-list guests and averages over 1 million unique impressions per episode, and growing. October will mark its 10-year anniversary.

YMH Studios also produces Where My Mom’s At (a parenting podcast hosted by Christina),2 Bears 1 Cave (hosted by Segura and comedian Bert Kreischer), Dr. Drew After Dark (hosted by Dr. Drew Pinsky) and The Honey Dew with Ryan Sickler.

Segura is currently on tour with his new Spanish hour, and just wrapped his Take It Down Tour, which took the comedian to 11 countries with 183 shows and more than 335,000 tickets sold.

CBS Gives Pilot Commitment to Tom Segura’s Family Comedy “The Little Things”

Tom Segura could soon be bringing the laughs to CBS

CBS has landed family comedy The Little Things, starring the 39-year-old part-Spanish and Peruvian American standup comedian/actor and his real-life wife Christina Pazsitzky with a put pilot commitment.

Co-written by Segura, Pazsitzky and Marder, The Little Things focuses on the funny coping mechanisms that get you through the harder parenting dilemmas.

The project hails from Segura, Pazsitzky, The Mick executive producer Scott Marder3 Arts and CBS Television Studios.

Segura and Pazsitzky executive produce with Marder and 3 Arts’ Michael Rottenberg and Josh Lieberman. CBS Television Studios is the studio.

Segura has had three stand-up specials on Netflix; his latest is titled DisgracefulPazsitzky has Netflix special Mother Inferior and recently wrapped a second one. The duo also are planning stand-up tours for 2019.
