Christina Aguilera Releasing New “Beautiful” Music Video For World Mental Health Day

Christina Aguilera is stripping down one of her biggest hits…

The 41-year-old singer, songwriter, actress and television personality is celebrating 20 years of her studio album Stripped by unveiling a new music video for “Beautiful.”

Xtina announced that she’s honor one of her career’s biggest singles with the new clip to be released later this month.

“In celebration of the 20 year anniversary of Stripped and World Mental Health Day, I’m honored to share a new music video for ‘Beautiful,’” she wrote on Twitter, noting that the clip will be arriving on October19. “Tune out and turn in. Take your space, log off, put your mind, body, and soul first.”

In the accompanying teaser clip, a group of young girls are seen at desks, applying heavy makeup in front of a phone attached to a ring light.

“Beautiful,” released in 2002, peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 dated February 1, 2003 and spent 27 total weeks on the chart. Stripped — which, in addition to “Beautiful,” includes songs like “Fighter,” “Dirrty” and “Can’t Hold Us Down” — also peaked at No. 2 on the all-genre Billboard 200 albums chart, and it spent an impressive 79 total weeks on the chart.

Aguilera famously received backlash when she introduced fans to “Xtina” for Stripped, dying her hair black, posing nude on magazine covers and overall flaunting a more sexually explicit persona for her 2002 album. “I hope I paved the way and helped set the ground rules that women can be any version of themselves they wanna be…and proud of it,” Aguilera told Cosmopolitan in 2018.

Bad Bunny Leads Pack of Latin Grammy Nominees with 10 Nods

Bad Bunny is this year’s Latin Grammys darling…

The 28-year-old Puerto Rican superstar leads the list of nominees for the 2022 Latin Grammys with 10 nods, including album of the year for his multiple-week Billboard 200-topping Un Verano Sin Ti.

The Latin Recording Academy announced the complete list of nominations on Tuesday for their 23rd annual edition of the Latin Grammys which are set to take place November 17 at the Michelob Ultra Arena at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.

Bad Bunny is closely followed by Mexican songwriter and producer Edgar Barrera, who scored nine nods, including song of the year and best pop song for “Índigo,” which he co-wrote alongside Camilo.

Speaking of Camilo, the Colombian singer-songwriter, who was last year’s big winner, earned six nominations this year.

Other top nominees include Rauw Alejandro and Rosalía with eight nominations (making the Spanish artist the top female nominee this year), and artists such as Christina Aguilera, Jorge Drexler and Tainy with seven.

“At the Latin Recording Academy, we continually strive to support and encourage Latin music creators, and these nominees epitomize musical excellence and represent the great momentum that our music is currently experiencing,” said Manuel Abud, CEO of the Latin Recording Academy. “We are proud to present the nominations with this diverse group of talented artists, who reflect the evolution of our Academy as a modern and relevant institution, and officially kick off the twenty-third season of the Latin Grammy Awards.”

Notably, regional Mexican music is once again left out of the all-important top categories, except for best new artist, where sibling trio Yahritza y Su Esencia are representing the genre with a nomination in that category.

Christina Aguilera to Receive Spirit of Hope Award at Billboard Latin Music Awards

It’s a spirited time for Christina Aguilera.

The 41-year-old half-Ecuadorian American actress and pop star will receive the Spirit of Hope award at the 2022 Billboard Latin Music Awards.

The special award — which was established in 1996 in honor of the late Tejano singer Selena Quintanilla — will recognize Aguilera for her philanthropic and humanitarian contributions beyond her musical work.

Aguilera will also perform during the awards show, which will take place on Thursday, September 29, at the Watsco Canter in Miami, and will be broadcast live on Telemundo beginning at 7:00 pm ET.

The Billboard Latin Music Awards — where Bad Bunny leads the list of finalists with a staggering 23 nods across 13 categories — will be simulcast on Telemundo, Universo, Peacock, the Telemundo App, and throughout Latin America and the Caribbean on Telemundo Internacional.

In addition to her musical accolades, including more than 75 million records sold worldwide, five No.1 Billboard Hot 100 hits, and a Hollywood Walk of Fame star, the artist also known as Xtina has lifted her voice to help end the cycle of domestic abuse, been a longtime supporter and ally to the LGBTQ+ community, raised awareness about HIV/AIDS research, and traveled the globe to help feed children in poverty-stricken areas.

Christina Aguilera to Host Intimate ‘Premiere Party’ at Billboard Latin Music Week

Christina Aguilera is throwing a premiere party…

The 41-year-old half-Ecuadorian American singer will take part in this year’s Billboard Latin Music Week, taking place September 26-October 1 at the Faena Forum in Miami.

During the conference, Xtina will be hosting the “Premiere Party with Christina Aguilera,” where she’ll be debut never-before-heard music and answer fan questions in an intimate setting.

But Aguilera isn’t the only new addition to the lineup…

Justin Quiles will take part in an engaging panel about connecting people with music through technology, while Wisin y Yandel will join Nicky Jam for a compelling conversation during The Nicky Jam Rockstar Show Live from Billboard Latin Music Week.

Ozuna Signs with William Morris Endeavor (WME)

William Morris Endeavor (WME) has signed the 30-year-old Puerto Rican singer and rapper in all areas.

“I am excited to collaborate with many of the top agents at WME to further connect with my incredible fans in inventive ways and continue to bring my culture to the masses,” the Puerto Rican singer born Juan Carlos Ozuna Rosado said in a statement. “As an artist, I want to expand my brand and develop new and exciting opportunities together in all aspects of entertainment.”

His WME signing comes on the heels of the announcement of his 2022 global tour Ozutochi, which kicks off June 30 in Seville, Spain, and will make its way across Europe and the U.S. before wrapping on December 9 at the FTX Arena in Miami.

Ozuna kicked off 2022 with his Christina Aguilera duet, “Santo,” and dropped a trio of singles over the past few months, including “Deprimida,” “G-Wagon” and “Apretatio.”

Most recently, he released “Ceremonia,” which will appear in the upcoming HBO Max remake of Father of the Bride.

The artist is also working on his fifth studio album, which will follow his sets Odisea, Aura, ENOC, and Nibiru, all of which hit No. 1 on the Billboard Top Latin Albums chart. Additionally, he’s placed over 100 entries in Hot Latin Songs, including five No. 1 hits: “Te Bote,” “Taki Taki,” “Otro Trago,” “China,” and “Mamacita.”

Christina Aguilera Releases New Spanish EP “La Tormenta”

Christina Aguilera is embracing the torment…

The 41-year-old half-Ecuadorian American Grammy-winning singer has released her new EP La Tormenta.

Aguilera has postponed the release of the five-track production, which includes her highly anticipated collaboration with Tini, “Sueltame,” following the school shooting in Uvalde, Texas.

The follow-up to Aguilera’s six-track EP La Fuerza, released in January, the new EP is home to tracks that not only continue to showcase Xtina’s powerful vocals singing in Spanish, but also her experimental ability to tap into reggaeton and other Latin rhythmic melodies while maintaining her pop essence.

“Sueltame” marks the EP’s focus single alongside Argentine pop star, Tini, a sultry tango-meets-urban collaboration where the lady takes matters into her own hands.

“If you want to kiss me, kiss me/ If you want to touch me, touch me/ But this only lasts until the morning/ If you want me to come back, let me go,” goes part of the lyrics.

The release of La Tormenta was postponed to respect those who lost their lives in the senseless mass shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas.

“I will be postponing the release of my new music as we mourn with the community of Uvalde,” Aguilera wrote via her Instagram Story on Thursday, May 26. “My heart breaks for the families and loved ones of the children and educators affected by this tragedy. I urge our leaders to make immediate changes on laws around gun control.”

Both La Tormenta and La Fuerza mark Xtina’s first Spanish effort in more than 20 years since Mi Reflejo, which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums chart in 2000.

With La Fuerza, Aguilera returned to Billboard’s Latin album charts with its No. 1 debut on the Latin Pop Albums chart dated February 5.

Anitta to Co-Headline Los Angeles’ L.A. Pride in the Park Celebration

The 29-year-old Brazilian singer/songwriter will perform at this year’s L.A. Pride festivities.

Christopher Street West — the non-profit organization behind L.A.’s annual Pride celebrations — announced a new slate of LGBTQ performers set to join them for their in-person music festival L.A. Pride in the Park.

In addition to Anitta, the lineup includes Syd, Chika, Michaela Jaé “MJ” Rodriguez, Rebecca Black, Bob the Drag Queen, Zolita, Alexander Stewart, Edward Frame, Grag Queen, Allison Ponthier, San Cha, Rossi, Drumaq, Mike Taveira, Boy Untitled, Gess, Malibu Barbie and A Club Called Rhonda.

Along with joining the lineup as a new performer, Anitta was announced as the event’s second headliner, alongside pop icon Christina Aguilera, who joined the Pride in the Park lineup back in March.

“We’re thrilled to have women, the majority of them LGBTQIA+ artists of color, lead our mainstage event to celebrate our return to Pride,” Gerald Garth, CSW’s vice president of community programming and initiatives, said in a statement. “Los Angeles represents a broad range of cultures, backgrounds and identities, especially across the BIPOC communities. Bringing influential and diverse artists is a nod to the many different people reflected within our community.”

Tickets for the daylong concert, which will take place on Saturday, June 11, at Los Angeles’s State Historic Park, are currently on sale, starting at $45 for general admission passes, and $200 for VIP passes. This year will also mark the return of Los Angeles Pride Parade, which was canceled for the first time in L.A. Pride’s 50-year history in both 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Christina Aguilera is proving she’s a fuerza to be reckoned with…

The 41-year-old half-Ecuadorian American Grammy-winning singer is revisiting her Latin roots with this week’s release of La Fuerza, her first Spanish album in more than two decades.

Aguilera’s EP includes the singles “Pa’ Mis Muchachas,” a collaboration with Becky G, Nicki Nicole and Nathy Peluso; and a classic ballad, “Somos nada,” which she sang for the first time on stage last November during the Latin Grammys.

Her return to Latin market was imminent in her career, she told CNN en Español‘s Zona Pop at a press conference.

“Mi Reflejo” had been such a beautiful, special time in my life, but it was 20- plus years ago when I was coming on the scene. I was so green to the business. I was baby Christina,” she said. “20 years later, I’m a grown woman who had such an incredible career. Now I get to come back having reflected on that.”

Aguilera also said as a mother now, she relishes the chance to share her Spanish music with her kids because it’s “a big part of them and who they are.”

“And so, they can see mommy do her thing in Spanish, they can hear it and feel it from a musical level,” Aguilera said.

La Fuerza is just the first of three releases she hopes to make in 2022.

Aguilera said she will address her relationship with her father in one releasing later in the year.

“I have a little bit of an estranged relationship with my father. I’ve spoken openly about it in the past,” she said. “I do address my father, and it’s the first time I … am coming from a place where I’m making peace with certain parts of my past.”

On a “deeper level,” she added, “this album means a great deal to me just because I’ve been able to embrace so many things about who I am and where I am now.”

Two of the songs from “La Fuerza” are collaborations, something common in Latin music.

“Latin music is such a community-based, beautiful environment, and there’s so much love there that I wanted to make it a unified experience,” Aguilera told CNN en Español.

“It’s more important to me now that I do things with artists who I not only admire, but I know I’m doing it because I love and want the experience. The experience outweighs any other thing to me. And at this point in my life and career, it’s important for me to do things that I love to do and not for any other reason,” the singer said.

In her first single, “Pa’ Mis Muchachas,” Aguilera surrounded herself with feminine powerhouses.

“I have so much admiration for other strong women and women who speak their truth,” she said.

Nicki Nicole, Aguilera said, “reminds me a lot of me coming up — so fresh and new in the business when I did my first Spanish album.” Nathy Peluso, meanwhile, is “so incredible on stage” and “a natural mover and performer.”

“I get mesmerized when I watch her,” she said. “And then you have Becky G, who represents such a strong, polished, smart little businesswoman. I love having conversations with her.”

Working on this song, the singer recalled her experience making 2001’s “Lady Marmalade,” in which Aguilera joined forces with singers Mýa, Lil’ Kim, and Pink.

“I loved doing ‘Lady Marmalade’ back in the day,” Aguilera said, “and every different woman representing who they are as strong women.”

Christina Aguilera is begging to be saved…

The 41-year-old half-Ecuadorian American Grammy-winning singer has released her latest single “Santo,” a hypnotizing, head-bobbing reggaeton song featuring Ozuna.

The single was released just hours before dropping her Spanish-language EP La Fuerza.

Marking the first time the pair have collaborated on a track, “Santo” is the third single from Aguilera’s upcoming six-track set.

It follows her first single, “Pa’ Mis Muchachas,” as well as “Somos Nada,” both of which dropped in late 2021.

“Santo,” powered by an infectious reggaeton beat and the earworm hook “Santo sálvame,” dropped alongside a music video that narrates an encounter between the artists in a sort-of afterlife.

On Wednesday, Aguilera revealed the release date and track list of the first of her three-part album. La Fuerza comes out Friday (Jan. 21), with the songs “La Reina,” “Ya Llegué” and “Como Yo” rounding out the set.

La Fuerza comes out more than 20 years after her first Spanish effort, Mi Reflejo. That release debuted at No. 1 on Billboard‘s Top Latin Albums chart in September 2000 and remained there for 19 weeks. The album also peaked at No. 27 on the Billboard 200.

“It can be intimidating and scary to put yourself out there in a way you know will be challenging. I don’t write in Spanish the way I do in English, but I know my heart,” Aguilera previously told Billboard. “It’s a layered journey I’ve been on but now having kids of my own, I want them to see that mommy doesn’t know everything. I’m still learning too and I’m not going to back down from something I’m truly passionate about because I’m scared or I’m afraid what people will think. This is me being me on my own journey of life. I could cry about it. It means a lot to me.”

Aguilera’s grand return to Latin music will follow her 2018 set, Liberation, which scored the artist her seventh top 10 album on the Billboard 200.

The 41-year-old half-Ecuadorian American Grammy-winning singer will release her highly anticipated Spanish-language EP La Fuerza on Friday, January 21.

Aguilera — who had been teasing her upcoming collaboration with Ozuna — also unveiled La Fuerza‘s tracklist via Instagram.

The Ozuna-assisted “Santo,” set to drop on Thursday, is part of the EP, along with girl-power anthem “Pa’ Mis Muchachas,” which features Nathy Peluso, Nicki Nicole and Becky G. “The first chapter,” Aguilera teased in the caption.
