Victor Terrazas has added another WBC title to his resume…
The 30-year-old Mexican boxer won the vacant WBC super-bantamweight title Saturday night, outpointing fellow countryman Christian Mijares in a split decision at Arena Ciudad de Mexico.
Terrazas (37-2-1) received winning scores of 114-113 and 115-112 from two judges, and the third scored it 114-113 for Mijares (47-7-2).
Terrazas is the ninth Mexican to hold the WBC super-batamweight title.
In November 2011 Terrazas upset former world champion Fernando Montiel to win the WBC Silver Bantamweight Championship.
Mijares is a former WBC super-flyweight champion.
