Daniel’s track rises 3-1 on the chart to reach the summit.

The ballad climbs 14 percent on the plays-based chart, with the singer’s native Puerto Rico championing the track with 37 percent of overall plays during the tracking week ending February 1.

“Me Vuelvo Un Cobarde” reaches a new peak on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart, hopping 21-19 in its seventh week. The jump is aided by 1,000 downloads of the track (a 14 percent increase).

The track appears on Daniel’s latest release EP, entitled Renacer (EP), which was released on December 9th.

Daniel Heading to South America to Promote New Album

Christian Daniel is preparing to take his show on the road in hopes of becoming the next best thing in Latin American music…

The 28-year-old Puerto Rican singer will be heading to Colombia later this month to perform in cities like Bogota, Cali, Bucaramanga, Barranquilla and Cartagena. He’ll then make his way to Venezuela for more appearances.

Daniel secured the chance to perform in the South American countries thanks in part to the success of his song “Un pedacito de cielo,” from his latest album Todo lo que tengo.

“Since I came out with ‘Un pedacito de cielo’ I knew that this song would be a Latin American success,” said Daniel, who launched his professional career at 17 when he recorded his first demo with veteran backup singer and vocal coach Socky Torres. “The expectations in Colombia are pretty high.”

The musician credits the popularity of his latest single, written by Kany Garcia, to “its melody and catchy rhythm” prepared by Colombian musical producer Andres Castro.

Daniel’s follow-up to his successful self-titled debut album, Todo lo que tengo, was recently released.
