The 34-year-old Puerto Rican and Dominican American reggaeton star took to Instagram recently indicating that he’s collaborating with R&B star Chris Brown.
Nicky Jam, born Nick Rivera Caminero is being cagey about the post, but he’s not exactly denying it either.
“Here cooking something with @chrisbrownofficial,” Jam posted in Spanish on October 26 alongside a fuzzy picture of Brown in a baseball cap, adding: “It’s official. We’re coming with a song you guys love and isn’t out yet.”
Jam wouldn’t confirm to Billboard that Brown will be featured on his next single, which he says is called “Hasta el Amanecer” and will be released in 2016 in Spanish and English versions.
Jam, who already made Billboard history with “El Perdón” alongside Enrique Iglesias (the song spent 30 weeks at No. 1 on Hot Latin Songs, second only to Iglesias’ “Bailando”) says his new track will also break new ground: “It will be the first time a reggaeton.
