Pena & Big Time Rush Celebrate Summer with the “Windows Down”

Carlos Pena Jr. is getting into the spirit of summer…

The 22-year-old part Venezuelan, Dominican and Spanish American singer/actor and his band mates have released the music video for Big Time Rush’s latest single “Windows Down.”

Big Time Rush's Windows Down

Pena and the game, who star in Nickelodeon‘s TV show of the same name, show off their ripped abs while frolicking in the ocean and cruising around town in Hawaii.

“Windows down is a song that completely embodies fun and we wanted to shoot a video that captured the four of us doing just that,” Logan Henderson told Us Weekly. “We shot the video in Maui and did everything from cliff diving to paddle boarding to a house party with the locals. Our fans will get a chance to see a more mature and playful side of BTR.”

The song is expected to appear on Big Time Rush’s next studio album.

“I’m hoping that this song can bring in some of the older demo,” said Pena, “Because a lot of the older kids think of us as a (boy band), but in the end we’re making music for everybody.”

Pena & His Big Time Rush Mates Tackle The Beatles in Film Debut

Carlos Pena, Jr. and his fellow Big Time Rush band members will soon be delivering their best John, Paul, George and Ringo impersonations in their London-set feature film debut.

The 22-year-old part Venezuelan, Dominican and Spanish singer/actor— along with Kendall Schmidt, James Maslow and Logan Henderson will star in Big Time Movie, which features the pop quartet heading to the U.K. in a mission to save the world. The mission involves jumping out of helicopters, a teen spy named Penny Lane, and a powerful anti-gravitational device named “The Beetle.”

Big Time Rush

The movie, which features Big Time Rush’s covers of several Fab Four songs including “A Hard Day’s Night,” “Help” and “Revolution,” is apparently a cross between Austin Powers and James Bond with the Beatles mixed in for good measure, according to Maslow.

“We were all a little nervous — I mean, they’re the greatest band in history,” says Maslow. “We weren’t trying to replicate them, but wanted to pay homage to them as much as possible.”

The band will release an official soundtrack to coincide with the movie’s premiere, which features the BTR boys’ Beatles covers on Tuesday, March 6.

Meanwhile, Big Time Movie will premiere on Saturday, March 10.
