FloyyMenor Signs with Independent Artist Group for Booking

FloyyMenor has a new booking agent…

The 19-year-old Chilean singer and songwriter has signed with Independent Artist Group for booking.

FloyyMenor,The signing follows the huge success of FloyyMenor’s reggaeton hit “Gata Only” with Cris MJ, which was named TikTok’s Global Song of the Summer and Global Song of the Year in 2024.

According to a press release, the track saw 50 million creations on TikTok, generating more than 74 billion streams on the platform and 1.3 billion streams on Spotify; it also reached No. 2 on Spotify’s Global Chart.

“Gata Only” also had great success in the U.S., where it hit No. 27 on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100 and topped Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart for 14 weeks. It finished at No. 1 on the year-end Hot Latin Songs list.

FloyyMenor’s breakthrough came in 2023 with the single “Pa la Europa.” That was followed by the August release of his debut EP El Comienzo, on which he partnered with UnitedMasters.

According to the release, the EP became the most-listened-to Chilean project in Spotify’s history and ranked among the top Spanish albums globally in 2024. In December, Spotify also named “Gata Only” the most-streamed Latin song of the year, while that same month, FloyyMenor was named one of VEVO’s DSCVR Artists to Watch 2025. “Gata Only” was also featured on former U.S. President Barack Obama’s “Favorite Music of 2024” list.

In October, FloyyMenor became the first Chilean artist to win a Billboard Latin Music Award, where he took home the Global 200 Latin song of the year. He also won top Latin song at the Billboard Music Awards for “Gata Only.”

FloyyMenor is set to release his debut album YTSQS later this year.

Fuerza Regida Rent Out Hotel for Families Affected by L.A. Wildfires

The Regional Mexican band, formed in California, is providing aid to those in need of housing amid the devastating wildfires across Los Angeles.

We’ve rented out a hotel with space for more than 50 families, more will become available for those in need of shelter. Please know that we stand with you and will continue to support throughout this difficult period. Rooms will be available at 3:00 pm PT 01/11/24,” the band announced in a statement released on Saturday, January 11.

“Please reach out to logistics @streetmobcorp.com for further information. Stay safe. Much Love, Fuerza Regida,” they signed the note.

In an Instagram post, Fuerza Regida added that they’ve rented the hotel for six days.

The Regional Mexican band will perform at the 2024 Billboard Music Awards, which will air on Thursday, December 12, at 8:00 pm ET/PT on FOX.

Fuerza Regida’s seventh studio album Pa Las Baby’s y Belikeada entered the Billboard 200 at No. 14 in November 2023 and has been a fixture on the chart for 58 weeks.

Its follow-up, Pero No Te Enamores, debuted and peaked at No. 25 in August.

The group has amassed 11 Hot 100 hits, including three that have made the top 30 – “Bebe Dame,” a collab with Grupo Frontera, “Sabor Fresa” and “Tu Boda,” a collab with Óscar Maydon.

Hosted by actress and comedian Michelle Buteau, the 2024 BBMAs will be broadcast live on Thursday, December 12, at 8:00 pm ET/PT on FOX and Fire TV Channels, and on-demand on Paramount+, with performances also rolling out across Billboard.com and via @BBMAs and @Billboard social channels.

The 24-year-old Mexican singer and musician has signed with Creative Artists Agency (CAA) in all areas.

Los Bukis Announce Historic Las Vegas Strip Residency at Park MGM

The Mexican grupero band, formed in 1973 and led by singer and songwriter Marco Antonio Solís, has announced a headlining residency in Las Vegas, set to kick off on Friday, May 3, at the Dolby Live at Park MGM.

Los BukisThe 15-date stint will make history as the first-ever full Spanish-language residency on the Las Vegas Strip, according to a press release.

Presented in partnership with Live Nation and MGM Resorts InternationalLos Bukis: The Las Vegas Residency celebrates the Mexican group’s 50th anniversary and will offer fans a more intimate concert experience in the 5,200-seat entertainment venue.

The news of the residency follows the Los Bukis stadium tour, which kicked off in 2021, reuniting the band after a 25-year hiatus. Per Billboard‘s 2021 year-end Boxscore charts, Los Bukis’ Una Historia Cantada Tour landed a No. 6 spot on Billboard‘s 40 top tours of 2021 with a total gross of $49,667,153. The reunion trek also won Top Latin Tour at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards.

Following the group’s 2021 stadium trek, Los Bukis hit the road once again in 2022 for additional dates.

“Being able to share the stage together and see the emotion of the people in the stadiums are things that really mark your life in a beautiful way. It feeds our heart and soul,” the grupero band previously told Billboard.

Los Bukis has sent 32 entries onto the Hot Latin Songs chart (which began in October 1986), scoring five No. 1 hits, including “Como Fui A Enamorarme De Ti,” “Y Ahora Te Vas” and “Mi Mayor Necesidad.”

Tickets will go on sale on Friday, February 2.

Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You” Rules First Holiday 100 Chart of 2023 Holiday Season

Mariah Carey’s Christmas reign has resumed…

Billboard has brought its Holiday 100 back to it charts menu, with the 54-year-old half-Venezuelan American Grammy-winning singer ruling the holiday’s first official ranking of the top seasonal songs of all eras.

Mariah CareyCarey‘s “All I Want for Christmas Is You” – which surges from No. 17 to No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 – rules the Holiday 100 for a 58th week of the chart’s 63 total weeks since the list launched in 2011.

The insta-classic has topped the seasonal survey for 43 consecutive weeks, dating to the start of the 2015-16 holiday season.

Using the same formula used for the Billboard Hot 100, the Holiday 100 blends streaming, airplay and sales data.

The only other Holiday 100 No. 1s to date: Justin Bieber’s “Mistletoe” for a week in the 2011-12 holiday season; Pentatonix’s “Little Drummer Boy” (one, 2013-14) and “Mary, Did You Know?” (two, 2014-15); and Ariana Grande’s “Santa Tell Me” (one, 2014-15).

Carey’s 1994 carol reigns with 22 million streams (up 57%), 15.6 million radio airplay audience impressions (up 105%) and 3,000 sold (up 70%) in the United States Nov. 17-23, according to Luminate.

Carey performed “All I Want for Christmas Is You” on an awards show for the first time as part of the 2023 Billboard Music Awards (November 19). She was also honored with the Billboard Chart Achievement Award for the song, presented to her by her 12-year-old twins, Monroe and Moroccan.

The song also boasts top honors on Billboard’s Greatest of All Time Holiday 100 Songs chart.

“When I wrote [it], I had absolutely no idea the impact the song would eventually have worldwide,” Carey marveled of “All I Want for Christmas Is You” in 2021. “I’m so full of gratitude that so many people enjoy it with me every year.”

Rounding out the Holiday 100’s top five are more classics, released between the 1950s and ‘80s: Brenda Lee’s “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” (No. 2); Bobby Helms’ “Jingle Bell Rock” (No. 3); Wham!’s “Last Christmas” (No. 4); and Burl Ives’ “A Holly Jolly Christmas” (No. 5).

Meanwhile, two songs newly released this holiday season debut on the Holiday 100, both Amazon Music Original exclusives: Chloe’s version of “Winter Wonderland” (No. 57, led by 3.5 million streams, up 130%) and Stephen Sanchez’s “Silver Bells” (No. 85; 2.2 million, up 92%).

Kali Uchis & Karol G Release New Single “Labios Mordidos”

The 29-year-old Colombian-American singer and songwriter and the 32-year-old Colombian superstar have joined voice the release the catchy new single “Labios Mordidos,” marking their second collaboration this year.

Produced by Manuel Lara and Albert Hype, the sweltering reggaeton cut sees the two indulging in risqué flirtation.

“The girl is on fire and sticks to me like a tattoo/ I guarantee there’s no one harder than you,” Kali seductively croons in Spanish. Meanwhile, Karol responds with her hushed coo: “I guarantee there’s no one more chimba than you … The baby is aggressive with that cute face/ That tattoo on her back left me breathless.”

“I’m so excited for the Kuchis to finally have one of my favorite songs on Orquídeas with one of my favorite artists Karol,” Uchis said in a statement. “I hope this brings everyone lots of holiday cheer and you make plenty of memories going into the new year with this song!”

During Karol G’s opening performance of the 2023 Billboard Music Awards on Sunday, November 19, La Bichota teased fans with a snippet of the song.

As anticipation builds for Uchis’ fourth album, Orquídeas, due January 12, “Labios Mordidos” emerges as the third single, offering a tantalizing preview of what’s to come. The song follows the vintage bolero-style song “Te Mata” and the Dominican dembow of “Muñekita” with El Alfa and JT.

“The orchid is the national flower of Colombia, and we have more species of orchid than anywhere on earth,” Uchis said last month. “I always felt distinctly intrigued and magnetized by the flower. This album is inspired by the timeless, eerie, mystic, striking, graceful and sensual allure of the orchid. With this vast scope of fresh energy, I wish to redefine the way we look at Latinas in music.”

The album will feature more collaborations, including with Peso Pluma, Rauw Alejandro and more. Orquídeas is Uchis’ second all-Spanish release.

Uchis entered a total of six Billboard Year-End Charts, including the Top Latin Artists chart at No. 32 and Top R&B Artists at No. 11. In October, she concluded her Red Moon in Venus Tour with sold-out performances across the U.S.

Pitbull Extends Global Publishing Deal with BMG

The 42-year-old Cuban American rapper, singer, songwriter, businessman and actor, born Armando Perez, has extended his global publishing deal with BMG.

PitbullPitbull first signed to the company nearly a decade ago, and under the renewed partnership, his back catalog of hits and future songs will be administered by the BMG team.

Pitbull’s feel-good anthem “Give Me Everything,” featuring Ne-Yo, Afrojack and Nayer, hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart dated July 9 for one week in 2011, while “Timber,” his collaboration with Kesha, went to No. 1 on the Hot 100 chart on January 18, 2014, leading for three weeks.

Pitbull has sold more than 25 million studio albums and over 100 million singles worldwide. His music video have over 15 billion views on YouTube.

He has won one Grammy, one Latin Grammy, three Billboard Music Awards and nine Billboard Latin Music Awards.

Karol G’s “El Makinon” Video Joins YouTube’s Billion Views Club

Two years after its music video was released, the 32-year-old Colombian superstar and Mariah Angeliq’s girl-power anthem “El Makinon” has surpassed the billion-views mark on YouTube.

Karol GThe three-minute clip for “El Makinon” is Karol G’s seventh entry to the Billion Views Club as a lead, featured artist or collaborator. She also claims No. 10 on YouTube’s Global Top Artists and No. 15 on U.S. Top Artists 

Featured on Karol’s 2021 KG0516 album, the infectious head-bopping, hip-swaying reggaetón song produced by Neo is about breaking all the rules with the girls.

“El Makinon,” slang for a “big machine,” tells the story of a girl who’s been independent since she was 16 years old, and now that she’s older, she still depends solely on herself.

“El Makinon” debuted at No. 9 on Hot Latin Songs and later peaked at No. 6 on the tally.

Most recently, Karol G performed a medley (“QLONA,” “Labios Mordidos” and “Ojos Ferrari”) at the 2023 Billboard Music Awards on Sunday, November 19. She also won two awards: top Latin female artist and top Latin touring artist. During her acceptance speech, she thanked her loyal fanbase.

“These awards mean the connection is there between all of you and me. I think you’re more than fans — you’re part of the team and the family. Fuerza Regida Claims Two Awards at Billboard Music Awards

Fuerza Regida is celebrating an impressive Billboard Music Awards victory.

The Regional Mexican music group took home the Top Duo/Group award at last night’s Billboard Music Awards, beating out the likes of Grupo Frontera, Eslabon Armado, FIFTY FIFTY and Metallica.
