GloRilla & Megan Thee Stallion’s “Wanna Be” Remix Featuring Cardi B Rises on Several Billboard Charts

Cardi B’s wanna be moment is a hit…

A new remix of GloRilla and Megan Thee Stallion’s collaboration “Wanna Be,” featuring the 31-year-old half-Dominican American rap superstar, has sent the single rebounding up the Billboard Hot 100 and multiple other charts dated June 15 following the first tracking week for the new version, which was released May 31.

Cardi BIn the May 31-June 6 tracking week, according to Luminate, “Wanna Be” generated 19.7 million official U.S. streams – its biggest streaming yet and a 51% increase from the previous week, sparking its 35-15 ascent on the Streaming Songs chart.

The single sold 13,000 downloads in the same period, up 6,210%, prompting a No. 4 re-entry on the Digital Song Sales list. It had previously reached Nos. 9 and 1 on the respective charts upon its debut on rankings dated April 20.

“Wanna Be” also registered 7.1 million airplay audience impressions, a 115% week-over-week improvement.

Although it’s as yet below the 50-position threshold for the all-genre Radio Songs chart, the single’s gains reap rewards on format airplay charts: It darts 36-17 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart (up 113% in audience to 5.9 million) and debuts at No. 37 on Rhythmic Airplay.

Thanks to the increases for all three metrics, “Wanna Be” rockets 39-15 on the Hot 100, which blends streaming, sales and airplay into its calculations.

The collaboration nears its peak of No. 11, achieved upon the song’s debut.

Additional jumps occur on both the multimetric Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Hot Rap Songs charts, which use the same methodology as the Hot 100.

“Wanna Be” rebounds 11-5 on the former to match its peak rank and 9-4 on the latter, earning a new best showing. (All versions of the song are rolled up into one listing for tracking purposes and chart ranks. Cardi B is not listed on “Wanna Be” on the June 15-dated multimetric charts, as the remix did not account for the majority of the song’s overall consumption during the tracking week, although she is listed on radio charts, as the new remix is already responsible for the bulk of its airplay; such decisions are reviewed each week upon compilation of updated data.)

The theme for this year’s Pride season is “Power in Pride,” which celebrates the LGBTQIA+ community’s ability to live authentically.

“I am thrilled to be headlining LA Pride in the Park because it’s an incredible opportunity to celebrate love, diversity, and equality,” Martin said in a statement. “LA Pride is a testament to the power of community, the power of visibility, and the power of standing up for our rights. Being part of this vibrant community fills me with pride and purpose.”

“With his electrifying stage presence and chart-topping hits, Ricky Martin has long been an inspiration to millions around the world,” said Gerald Garth, board president of CSW/LA Pride. “His participation in LA Pride in the Park goes beyond mere entertainment; it symbolizes a powerful affirmation of queer Latin identity and a celebration of diversity within the LGBTQ+ community. Bizarrap Teams Up with Natanael Cano to Release Two-Track “BZRP Music Session #59″

Bizarrap is back with new music featuring a Regional Mexican star…

The 25-year-old Argentine record producer, songwriter, DJ and hitmaker has partnered with Natanael Cano to release two singles.

Bizarrap, Natanael CanoThe 23-year-old Mexican corridos tumbados pioneer and Bizarrap joined forces on “BZRP Music Session #59,” a two-song project officially released on Wednesday, April 3.

The new music is as explosive and raw as previous music sessions recorded by the likes of Residente, Arcángel and Young Miko.

According to a press release, “BZRP Music Session #59” was created following a “spontaneous” Miami meeting between the two artists in 2021, and is powered by Bizarrap’s innovative Argentine trap.

“Now that they know we’re on top, they think we haven’t struggled,” spits Cano in the first track, or chapter one, also being referred to as “Endiamantado.”

Chapter two, or the second song from this release titled “Entre las de 20,” fuses Cano’s corrido tumbado hybrid with synthesizers and Bizarrap’s signature style.

Kicking off with his prickly guitars, Cano sings about outgrowing a relationship; he’s on to bigger and better things. “There’s no trace of what you knew about me/ I told her we broke up, I don’t have time to spend. But I do have money to throw away.”

It’s not the first time Bizarrap teams up with a música mexicana artist.

Last summer, Bizarrap tapped Peso Pluma for “BZRP Music Sessions #55,” which peaked at No. 31 on the Billboard Hot 100 and at No. 1 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart dated June 17.

Cano’s session with Bizarrap follows team-ups with Milo J, Rauw Alejandro and Shakira, the latter being Bizarrap’s most consequential session to date.

The dis track broke a handful of Guinness World Records and, when it dropped, held the title for most streamed Latin track on Spotify in 24 hours (14.4 million streams) and most viewed Latin track on YouTube in 24 hours (63 million views). It also won song of the year at the Latin Grammys.
