The 38-year-old part-Puerto Rican Grammy-winning artist’s collaboration with Lady Gaga, “Die With a Smile,” has notched a fourth total and consecutive week at No. 1 on both the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts.

Bruno Mars“Die With a Smile” tops the Global 200 with 117.4 million streams (up 5% week-over-week) and 9,000 sold (up 1%) worldwide September 13-19. The ballad, released August 16, is Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars’ first No. 1 each since the chart began in September 2020.

Notably, the duet has drawn over 100 million streams globally in each of the last three weeks. It joins only Sabrina Carpenter’s “Please Please Please” (three weeks, June-July) and Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” (three, May-July) as the only songs to achieve three such weeks this year.

Plus, “Die With a Smile” has gained in each of its chart weeks, having started with 75.2 million on the August 31 survey and rising, respectively each week, to 97.2 million, 105.8 million, 111.4 million and 117.4 million; it’s the first non-holiday song to link at least three consecutive weeks of 100 million streams with gains in each week since The Kid LAROI and Justin Bieber’s “Stay” did so for four straight frames in August-September 2021.

The 30-year-old Colombian singer and songwriter is teaming up with Nike for a new collaboration.

Honoring the intersection of sports, reggaetón and Colombian culture, each piece has been created to capture the vibrant energy, attitude and creativity that define the artist and the brand, according to the press release.

“Collaborating with Nike for this exclusive capsule is a dream come true for me,” Castro said in the release. “My love for fashion and music has always been deeply connected — both are ways I express who I am and where I come from. Coinciding with Nike by Ryan Castro, the “Mujeriego” singer will kick off his El Cantante del Ghetto tour on September 6 with a sold-out show at Bogotá’s Movistar Arena.

In the fall, he’ll also hit the road with Blessd for a 15-date joint trek called Ay Bendito Ghetto. Powered by Touring the World and Seitrack US, the tour will kick off October 31 in San Jose, Calif., and wrap on December 1st in Atlanta after visiting key cities such as Los Angeles and Miami.

Trueno Signs Record Deal with Sony Music Latin

The 21-year-old Argentine rapper and singer has signed a deal with Sony Music Latin.

TruenoTrueno, known for his socially conscious lyrics, is a leading force in the hip-hop scene of Latin America.

“Joining Sony Music US Latin is a big step in my career! I am very excited to be able to share with this great team my next album, an album that is very special to me,” said Trueno, who had been releasing music via indie label Sur Capital Records, in a statement.

Trueno (real name Mateo Palacios Corazzina) first gained momentum in 2019 after being crowned champion of the Red Bull Batalla de los Gallos and the Freestyle Master Series (FMS), and has since dropped two studio albums, Atrevido (2020) and Bien o Mal (2022).

He’s so far scored three entries on the Billboard Global 200, and landed at No. 10 on Billboard‘s 50 Best Spanish-Language Rappers of All Time.

Myke Towers Earns 11th No. 1 on Billboard’s Latin Airplay Chart with “La Falda”

The 30-year-old Puerto Rican rapper, singer and songwriter has pounced to No. 1 on Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart as “La Falda” rises from No. 5 to lead the list dated February 24.

Myke TowersThe song, announced on Towers’ X account in November, is the focus track from his 23-song album LVEU: Vive La Tuya… No La Mía, which debuted and peaked at No. 9 on Top Latin Albums on the December 9-dated list.

With the new leader, Towers collects his 11th Latin Airplay No. 1 and second in 2024, after the Yandel collab, “Borracho y Loco” (February 17 chart).

“La Falda” likewise ascends to No. 1 on Latin Rhythm Airplay, securing Towers an 11th champ there as well.

For the tracking week February 9-15, “La Falda” registered 10.54 million audience impressions in the U.S., up 47% from the week prior, according to Luminate, and takes the Greatest Gainer honors.

Towers’ run of Latin Airplay No. 1s began just a little more than three years ago, when “Caramelo,” with Ozuna and Karol G, peaked at No. 1 in late 2020, where it remained for three weeks.

“La Falda” rises to new peaks on both Global charts as well. It lifts 85-75 on Billboard Global 200, powered largely by with 24 million worldwide streams. Meanwhile, it pushes 56-47 on Global Excl. U.S. supported in great part by 20 million clicks outside the U.S.

Xavi Earns First No. 1 on Billboard’s Latin Airplay Chart with “La Diabla”

The 19-year-old Mexican American Regional Mexican singer-songwriter and breakout star, who recently announced his first tour of the U.S., has earned his first No. 1 on Billboard’Latin Airplay chart dated February 10 with his sophomore hit “La Diabla.”

XaviThe track races 17-1 on The chart, giving the Mexican-American singer-songwriter his first champ on a radio ranking.

The romantic corrido, released via Interscope, tops the overall Latin Airplay list with 9.6 million audience impressions, up 89%, earned in the U.S. in the week ending Feb. 1, according to Luminate.

Notably, it’s the first No. 1 by a regional Mexican artist on Interscope. The label was last on top with another song in the genre, Karol G’s “Mi Ex Tenia Razon” for two nonconsecutive weeks last October and November.

“’La Diabla’ has topped so many charts that it’s been hard to keep up, but this one is particularly special,” Manny Prado, VP of Marketing and A&R, Interscope Geffen A&M tells Billboard. “The fact that radio has embraced Xavi’s innovative sound is a significant statement and validates that he is successfully pushing the boundaries of Mexican music.”

Xavi’s radio success follows the song’s domination on both Hot Latin Songs and Latin Streaming Songs.

On the multi-metric tally, “La Diabla” spends a fifth nonconsecutive week at the summit, powered largely by 15.4 million streams during the same period. That’s enough to hold its No. 1 spot for a fourth week on Latin Streaming Songs and its No. 9 ranking on the overall Streaming Songs for a second week.

Back on Latin Airplay, “La Diabla” ejects another regional Mexican track from the lead: Fuerza Regida and Marshmello’s “Harley Quinn” falls to No. 3 after one week in charge with 8.2 million, down 9%.

Beyond its Latin Airplay domination, “La Diabla” surges 8-1 on Regional Mexican Airplay for its first week atop the 40-deep song tally; also, a first champ there for the Phoenix-born artist. Sales too, contribute to the song’s rise across Billboard charts: “La Diabla” sold 1,000 downloads for a No. 2 on Latin Digital Sales for a third week (topped the list for one week on the Jan. 20-dated survey).

Elsewhere, “La Diabla” remains steady at No. 4 on the Billboard Global 200 chart for a fourth week after its No. 3 peak in January. Plus, it remains at No. 3 for a third week on Global Excl. U.S. following its No. 2 high also in January.

Thanks to its gain in all metrics (streaming, sales, and radio), Xavi holds strong at its at No. 33 peak on the Billboard Artist 100 for a second week, which measures artist activity across key metrics of music consumption- album and track sales, radio airplay and streaming – to provide a weekly multi-dimensional ranking of artist popularity.

The 54-year-old half-Venezuelan American Grammy-winning superstar made a special visit to see the president and vice president of the United States.

Carey’s 12-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe, whom she shares with ex Nick Cannon, also got to visit the Oval Office and chat with the leaders of the nation.

While there, Carey posed for photos with both Biden and Harris, as well as with her kids in front of the White House’s impressive Christmas decorations.

“Last week I had the pleasure of meeting President Biden & Vice President Harris at the White House to ring in the holiday season!” the singer captioned the pictures, which the White House also shared on its official account. “While there, we got to see all the festive decor and spread some cheer! 🎄❄️☃️

And what does an international superstar wear to greet the POTUS and VP? A sequined tweed suit jacket and dress, complete with pink trimming and matching heels.

Later, Carey and the president jointly posted a video of their first meeting, both of them professing “I’m a fan” to the other while shaking hands.

The hitmaker is fresh off the finale of her Merry Christmas One and All! Tour, which wrapped with a special show at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Jennifer Hudson and Ariana Grande joined Carey onstage to perform “Oh Santa!,” marking the trio’s first time performing the remix live since releasing it in 2020.

Mariah Carey Releases Special Edition of “All I Want For Christmas Is You” Video for Her Fans

Mariah Carey is giving her fans a special Christmas gift…

The 54-year-old half-Venezuelan Grammy-winning songstress has been traveling across the country for nearly a month on her festive Merry Christmas One and All tour and she’s officially presented her fans with the greatest gift of all: a new Lambs-centric video for her modern holiday classic, “All I Want For Christmas Is You.”

The refreshed clip opens with footage of Carey getting touched up backstage before a quick cut of super-excited fans in their Santa finest getting pumped for the show.

The rest of the four-minute visual is essentially a super-cut featuring footage from the concerts intercut with rehearsal run-throughs, peeks at the action backstage, lots of shots of fans singing and dancing along with all their hearts and enough unabashed joy to float you through the next two weeks.

Carey kicked off the tour on November 15 at the Yaamava’ Casino in Highland, CA and she’s kept the sled fueled up through dates at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, as well as gigs in Denver, Kansas City, Toronto, Montreal, Detroit, Chicago and Pittsburgh.

She’ll touch down in Boston on Monday, December 11 as the run winds down with stops in Philadelphia (December 13), Baltimore (December 15) and a final gig at Madison Square Garden in New York on December 17.

Because it’s MC’s time of year, of course “All I Want for Christmas is You” reclaimed the top spot on both the Billboard Global 200 and the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts dated December 9, dashing from No. 3 to No. 1 on the former and 8-1 on the latter.
