The new single was previously confirmed to be unveiled in January, but Rihanna revealed the release date on Twitter on Monday morning (Jan. 6).

Last month, Shakira and Rihanna were reportedly in Los Angeles filming the new song’s music video with director Joseph Kahn.

Shakira’s forthcoming studio album — her first English-language effort since 2009’s “She Wolf” — is due out this spring on RCA/Sony Latin Iberia.

Bruno Mars

The National Football League is expected to make an official announcement on Sunday during Fox’s pregame show at noon ET.

Mars, currently on tour promoting his sophomore album Unorthodox Jukebox, would be a strong choice. He’s known for giving high-octane performances at awards shows like the Grammys and MTV VMAs.

Dolce & Gabbana Outfitting Mars for His Upcoming World Tour

Bruno Mars will be rockin’ some serious style during his upcoming world tour.

Italian designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana will outfit the 27-year-old part-Puerto Rican crooner for his Moonshine Jungle world tour.

Bruno Mars

Kicking off with a sold out show in Washington D.C. on June 22 and wrapping up in Auckland, New Zealand next March, Mars will tour the globe in a series of exclusively-designed black tuxedos and white button downs by the high-end Italian label better known as Dolce & Gabbana. Midway through each performance, concertgoers will see the Grammy-winning singer in a bright red suit and ocelot-printed shirt.

“Bruno’s style and music are so eclectic that oftentimes we have taken inspiration directly from his work to create looks that were at the same time in line with his very personal taste, as well as with the DNA of Dolce & Gabbana,” the designers said in an official statement. “With time, we have managed to establish with him a relationship of absolute faith in each other and mutual trust, that allows us to create and work together in an atmosphere of complete harmony.”

This isn’t the first time the duo — who have dressed everyone from Kate Moss to Amy Adams on the red carpet — have costumed a major music show.

In 1993 they outfitted Madonna‘s Girlie Show tour, a role they reprised for her 2000 Music tour — the same year they provided Mary J. Blige‘s stadium show costumes

Kylie Minogue‘s Fever tour followed suit in 2002, and Beyonce and Missy Elliott wore glittery wares by the label while performing in Verizon‘s Ladies First concert series in 2004.

Lopez Performs “Come Together” with Mary J. Blige at Sound of Change Live Concert

Jennifer Lopez is urging people to come together to support women’s empowerment…

During her set at the Chime for Change Presents: The Sound of Change Live charity concert on Saturday, June 1 at London’s Twickenham Stadium, the 43-year-old Puerto Rican singer/actress brought out Mary J. Blige for a girl power cover of The Beatles‘ classic hit “Come Together.”

The cover was a fitting song for the global concert, which brought together some of the world’s biggest superstars to support the Chime for Change campaign, which was launched by Gucci earlier this year.

“Do you believe that one person can make a change?” yelled Lopez, who wore a black bodysuit with thigh-high boots and a flowing cape for her performance.

“If we all come together we can do amazing things” she added before kicking off the duet.

Other highlights of the show included performances by headliner Beyonce Knowles, Jessie J, Florence and the Machine, John Legend and Rita Ora.

Their combined efforts helped raise funds for the international campaign aimed at bringing awareness for both young and adult women’s empowerment.

No word on what songs Lopez will perform at the concert event, which aims to raise funds for over a hundred worldwide projects that support women and girls.

A billion people are expected to watch the concert, which is taking place from Twickenham sports stadium and will be broadcast to 150 countries.

Along with Lopez, the list of performers include Beyonce, Florence + the Machine, Ellie Goulding and Timbaland.

Meanwhile, Madonna will lead an international presenters lineup that includes Jessica Chastain, James Franco and Freida Pinto.

“Sixty percent of the children in the world not in school are girls,” Madonna said in a statement picked up by Reuters. “Two-thirds of the world’s illiterate are women. I do not accept this. We need to change this and we will change this.”

The concert was organized by the Chime for Change campaign, which was started by Gucci.

NBC will broadcast parts of the concert on Sunday, June 2 from 9:00 – 11:00 PM ET.

Gomez: Harper Bazaar’s Latest Cover Girl

Selena Gomez is a cover girl once again…

The 20-year-old half-Mexican American actress graces the cover of Harper’s Bazaar’s April 2013 “Shopping Special” issue.

Selena Gomez - Harper's Bazaar

In the issue, Gomez – who will be starring in Spring Breakers this month – talks about love, fashion and more.

Here’s a sneak peek at what Gomez had to say:

On love being normal: “To me, love is normal. Of course, you see Jay and Beyoncé and you’re like, ‘Oh, my gosh, they’re perfect for each other,’ but at the end of the day their love is just like everybody else’s love.”

On believing in love: “I believe in love—yes, I’m one of those girls. Most of my friends believe in love. I went out with Katy Perry last night. She’s so fun and awesome, but it’s cool to see someone older believe in love too. She is all about it, and that’s how I will always be. I believe in stories like, ‘Oh, I met him in Starbucks.’”

On her style: “I do not give a damn what I look like, I don’t. I wish I could pay attention because Gwen Stefani, say, looks flawless. Of course, when I’m on red carpets, I’m nervous, sweaty, and weird.”
