Arturo Del Puerto Joins the Cast of Hulu’s “Downforce” Pilot

Arturo Del Puerto has lined up his next project…

The 47-year-old half Puerto Rican and half Spanish actor has joined the 20th Television pilot for Hulu’s Downforce.

Arturo Del PuertoDel Puerto is among a roster of new cast additions that includes Harry Delano, Reece Shearsmith and Amar Chadha-Patel.

The film stars Eve Hewson and Murray Bartlett.

Downforce follows Victoria (Hewson), the estranged daughter of a storied racing team’s owner, Sir Trevor (Bartlett), who is thrust back into the family business, leaving the pair to find common ground or risk destroying the team’s legacy.

Del Puerto plays Emiliano, the ostentatious Spanish owner of a competing team who’s hellbent on destroying Regent Racing.

Alec Berg will direct the pilot and executive produce alongside Adam Countee, who have overall deals at 20th Television.

Del Puerto is currently recurring on the Netflix series Pulse and will next appear in the Netflix/A&E series The Lincoln Lawyer‘s second season.

His additional credits include the Apple+ series For All Mankind, Westworld for HBOGodfather of Harlem for MGM+ and HBO’s Camping.

On the film front, he played opposite Liam Hemsworth, Jeff Goldblum and Bill Pullman in Twentieth Century Fox’s Independence Day: Resurgence and the Universal Pictures feature Ride Along 2.

Néstor Carbonell to Star in Netflix’s First Original Medical Procedural “Pulse”

The 56-year-old Cuban American actor will star in Netflix’s first original medical procedural Pulse.

The drama series hails from first-time creator Zoe Robyn and veteran Carlton Cuse.

Pulse follows the staff of Miami’s busiest Level 1 Trauma Center as they navigate medical emergencies centering on young ER doc Danny Simms (Willa Fitzgerald) who is unexpectedly promoted to Chief Resident amidst the fallout of her own provocative romantic relationship.

In addition to Fitzgerald, Justina Machado, Colin Woodell, Jack Bannon, Jessie T. Usher, Chelsea Muirhead, Daniela Nieves and Jessy Yates also star.

Carbonell will play Dr. Ruben Soriano, a respected and sometimes feared senior surgeon. His commitment and passion have led him to prioritize his job above all else and he’s as demanding of his residents as he is of himself.

Segura will play Gabriel Moreno, an ER nurse who is a highly competent team player — but not always easy to impress.

Santos will play Nia Washington, a confident and scrappy Miami-Dade County EMT from a large, close-knit family.

Rothe will play Cass Himmelstein, a charismatic and charming senior ER nurse who knows what she wants for her life, and has a plan to get it.

Del Puerto will play Luis Dominguez, the ER’s Charge Nurse. He is unflappable amidst the ER chaos without sacrificing his signature wit and is beloved among his staff. All are recurring roles.

Robyn and Cuse serve as showrunners and executive producers. Bradley Garner, Emma Forman and Michael Klick also executive produce. Kate Dennis will serve as director and executive producer on Episodes 1 and 2.

The project reunites Carbonell and Cuse who worked together on the hit ABC series Lost. Carbonell is currently a series regular on Apple’s The Morning Show, and is recurring on the FX series Shogun. He can also be seen in feature films Bandit and Clawfoot. Prior, he starred as ‘Sheriff Alex Romero’ opposite Vera Farmiga and Freddie Highmore in the hit A&E series, Bates Motel. He is most often recognized for his portrayal of ‘Richard Alpert’ in Lost.

Segura can most recently be seen recurring on CW’s Walker: Independence. He is best known for his series regular role in Scream, as well as a recurring arc on Grey’s Anatomy and the thriller 47 Meters Down opposite Mandy Moore.

Santos’ breakthrough role was on the eighth season of FX’s American Horror Story. Additional credits include Netflix’s True Story, alongside Kevin Hart and Wesley Snipes, as well as Hulu’s biopic series, Mike, playing Mike Tyson’s wife, Kiki Spicer. She’s currently set to reprise her role of Coco in Season 3 of Mayor of Kingstown, as well as the upcoming romantic comedy for NetflixOur Little Secret. Her latest film, Half Baked 2, premiered on April 20.

Del Puerto is currently recurring on the Apple+ series For All Mankind as well as Killing It for Peacock. Previously, he starred in the HBO series Camping alongside Jennifer Garner, Juliette Lewis and David Tennant. On the film front, he played opposite Liam Hemsworth, Jeff Goldblum and Bill Pullman in Twentieth Century Fox’s Independence Day: Resurgence and the Universal Pictures feature Ride Along 2.

Jamie-Lynn Sigler to Star on Season Two of ABC’s Drama Series “Big Sky”

The 40-year-old half-Cuban American actress and former The Sopranos star will appear on the second season of ABC’s popular drama series Big Sky.

Sigler, who will appear in a key role, will appear alongside cast newcomers Madelyn Kientz, Troy Johnson, Lola Reid, Jeremy Ray Taylor, TV Carpio and Arturo Del Puerto (Camping).

In Season 2 of the David E. Kelley series based on the books by C.J. Box, when private detectives Cassie Dewell (Kylie Bunbury) and Jenny Hoyt (Katheryn Winnick) reunite to investigate a car wreck outside of Helena, Montana, they soon discover that the case might not be as straightforward as it seems. As they unravel the mystery of the accident, their worlds will collide with a band of unsuspecting teens, a flirtatious face from Jenny’s past and a vicious outsider hellbent on finding answers.

Cast also includes series regulars Janina Gavankar, Brian Geraghty and Dedee Pfeiffer as well as Omar Metwally and Anja Savcic, who have been promoted from recurring to regulars for Season 2, and Jesse James Keitel, a series regular in season 1 who will recur in Season 2.

Sigler will play Tonya, who works as a waitress at a local diner. She and her boyfriend have big plans, that is until he mysteriously disappears. Tonya hires the services of Dewell & Hoyt to find her boyfriend, but she is withholding some secrets of her own. Like all of the women in this town, it would be unwise to underestimate Tonya.

Del Puerto will play T-Lock, Rachel’s ne’er-do-well boyfriend, oozing with entrepreneurial self-confidence, especially when it comes to his myriad of “get-rich-quick” opportunities. Though he can be a loose cannon, and leeches money off a begrudging Max behind her mother’s back, T-Lock genuinely loves Rachel.

Big Sky, produced by 20th Century Fox Television and A+E Studios, is moving production to Rio Rancho, NM, for Season 2 from Vancouver, where the first season was shot.

Sigler, known for her role as Meadow Soprano in HBO’s The Sopranos, was recently seen in Lifetime movie The Neighbor In The Window, and will next be seen on the big screen in a starring role in Sonia Sebastian’s The Virgin of Highland Park. She also recently voiced Rebeca on Disney Jr.’s Elena of Avalor.

The Spanish and Puerto Rican actor has landed a recurring role in Apple’s upcoming space drama series from Battlestar Galactica‘s and Outlander‘s Ronald D. Moore.

Produced by Sony Pictures Televisionand Moore’s Tall Ship Productions, the untitled Apple series, created and written by Moore along with Matt Wolpertand Ben Nedivi, explores what would have happened if the global space race had never ended. Joel Kinnaman,Michael Dormanand Sarah Jonesstar. Eric Ladin and Rebecca Wisocky have recurring roles.

Del Puerto will portray Octavio Rosales, an immigrant looking for a better life for his family.

The Latino actor has been cast opposite Jennifer Garner and David Tennant in HBO’s new half-hour comedy series Camping.

Del Puerto joins a cast that includes Janicza Bravo, Brett Gelman and Bridget Everett.

Based on the British series created by Julia Davis, the project hails from the Girls duo of creator/executive producer Lena Dunham and executive producer Jenni Konner.

Production begins this spring in Los Angeles.

Co-written by Dunham and Konner, who also showrun, Camping centers on Walt (Tennant), whose 45th birthday was supposed to be a delightful weekend back to nature, at least according to his obsessively organized and aggressively controlling wife Kathryn (Garner). But when the camping trip gathers Kathryn’s meek sister, holier than thou ex-best friend and a free-spirited Tagalong in one place, it becomes a weekend of tested marriages and woman-on-woman crime that won’t soon be forgotten. Plus, bears.

Del Puerto will portray Miguel, who is smack dab in the middle of a midlife crisis, recently separated. He is now expressing his instability through Topshop clothing and very strange life choices.

Bravo will play Nina-Joy, the friend you go to for everything: best massage, best jeans, best oatmeal. But her tension with Kathryn over a breach of confidence threatens to topple the weekend and put tooth marks in her marriage to the husband (Gelman) she adores almost as much as she likes a nice clog boot.

Del Puerto was most recently seen in features Independence Day: Resurgence, Ride Along 2 and CHIPS. He’s also known for his recurring role on AMC’s Fear the Walking Dead and a memorable guest spot in the Season 2 premiere of Pamela Adlon’s Better Things.

Known as a writer and director, Bravo directed and co-wrote with Gelman feature Lemon which premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival. She also helmed the “Juneteenth” episode of Donald Glover’s hit FX series Atlanta, as well as episodes of HBO’s Divorce, Here and Now, Netflix’s Love and Dear White People, and also guest-starred as Lorna in an episode of Love.

The series, co-created and co-written by Boyz N The Hood director John Singleton and Eric Amadio and directed by Singleton, is set against the infancy of the crack cocaine epidemic in Los Angeles in the 1980s.

Del Puerto will play Rico Santiago, Logan Miller’s (Magnussen) right-hand man as they venture into the L.A. cocaine trade.

Del Puerto recently recurred on Chicago P.D. and The Bridge. He’ll next be seen in Ride Along 2.

The Latino actor has landed a series regular role in ABC Family’s comedy pilot Tough Cookie.

From Awkward creator Lauren Iungerich and David Janollari., the project is centered around a young mother who isn’t ready to parent and her daughter who doesn’t want to be parented. It takes a village to raise a child or rather, a child to raise a village.

Del Puerto will portray Mickey, one of Lilla’s roommates, a neurotic hipster and something of a neat freak.

Del Puerto recently recurred on NBC’s Chicago P.D. Lifetime’s The Lottery, TNT’s Rizzoli & Isles and FX’s The Bridge.

He also starred in the film The Man Who Shook the Hand of Vicente Fernandez and The Devil’s in the Details.
