Miguel to Release His “Art Dealer Chic” EP Series Beginning in July

Miguel is preparing to deal this summer…

The 27-year-old half-Mexican R&B singer-songwriter, who has seen his star rise in the music industry following the release of his critically acclaimed sophomore album, will release the second volume of his Art Dealer Chic three-EP series this summer.

“It’ll be under Art Dealer Chic. It’ll be the next three installments… It’ll be [on] July, August and September,” Miguel told Billboard.com.

Miguel plans to release the first of the three EPs in July, the second in August and the third in September.

The three-EP series will be free and available for download online, much like the first Art Dealer Chic volume was.

Meanwhile, Miguel’s collaboration with Mariah Carey, “#Beautiful,” is gaining momentum on the Billboard charts.

It’s a (Kaleidoscope) Dream come true for Miguel’s fans…

The 27-year-old half-Mexican R&B singer-songwriter has released the official video for the Kendrick Lamar-assisted remix to his hit single “How Many Drinks?.”

Directed by Clark Jackson, the clip for the latest single from Miguel’s Grammy-nominated Kaleidoscope Dream album features the singer and Lamar performing the song in sleek and stylish black and white ensembles.

Miguel dances in and out of the shadows, with his full band backing him, while the rapper comes in with a quick toss of the mic then cues Miguel’s return to the stage when dropping it.

“I’m super excited about this video because I haven’t seen a live performance like we’ve done, in a really long time,” Miguel told Vibe. “It was really important to capture the artistry and the performance, and almost elevate the integrity and the artistry of the song because it’s a pretty straightforward record.”

Miguel, who recently toured with Alicia Keys, is currently working on three new EPs for this summer, similar to his Art Dealer Chic series.

Miguel is giving his fans a chic series of gifts…

The 26-year-old half-Mexican singer-songwriter will be releasing three new EPs this summer, entitled the Art Dealer Chic series.

“This time it’ll be bigger and better,” Miguel told VIBE. “I intend on having limited-edition apparel with them, so it’ll be really dope.”

Similar to Miguel’s first series, the upcoming EPs will feature three tracks each.

There aren’t any details as to whether the second series will lead into his third album, just as his smash-hit single “Adorn” segued into his critically acclaimed sophomore album, Kaleidoscope Dream.

Miguel is also working on the remix and video for the Kaleidoscope Dream track, “How Many Drinks,” which will feature Kendrick Lamar.

“Kendrick is poised to be the next staple in hip-hop [and] I certainly intend on becoming that for R&B. I don’t get that vibe that he’s putting on… I just feel like he’s just being honest in his music. Newer, younger artists, that’s what we’re all striving to do. Just be ourselves. Kendrick is one of the best examples of that,” he said.

He added that his collaboration with Lamar will  “sound like a breath of fresh air.” The track is set to debut this month.

Aside from working on new music, Miguel is currently on tour with Alicia Keys and will be performing at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards, airing live on ABC from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on May 19.

It’s no wonder he was named the Best New Artist at the Soul Train Awards… Miguel can sing his heart out, as evidenced in his latest video.

The 25-year-old half-Mexican R&B singer/songwriter has released the music video for his latest single “Adorn.”

It’s a simple video with the California-native singing his heart out to the camera, which captures the action with very tight shots of Miguel’s face.

“Adorn” is the first single from Miguel’s next album Art Dealer Chic, Vol. 1, which will be released on February 27.
