Netflix Renews “Queer Eye,” Starring Karamo Brown, for Ninth Season

Netflix has renewed Queer Eye, starring the 43-year-old half-Cuban American television host, reality television personality, author, actor and activist, for a ninth season.

Karamo BrownThe ninth season will switch locations to Las Vegas after Season 8 will be once again set in New Orleans. Season 8 will premiere on January 24, 2024.

In addition to Brown, Jonathan Van Ness, Antoni Porowski and Tan France are expected to return for Season 9. Bobby Berk announced his departure from the series earlier in the day.

Queer Eye is produced by Scout Productions and ITV Entertainment.

Brown serves as the culture expert on Queer Eye.

He began hosting an eponymous talk show titled Karamo for NBCUniversal in September 2022.

The 41-year-old half-Cuban American television host, reality television personality, author, actor and activist and his Queer Eye cast mates will head to Texas in Season 6, with Netflix releasing the show’s official trailer ahead of its December 31 premiere.

Hosts Antoni Porowski (Food & Wine), Bobby Berk (Interior Design), Jonathan Van Ness (Grooming), Brown (Culture), and Tan France (Fashion) will work their magic across the state helping to change the lives of deserving locals.

In one fell swoop, the guys will help a multitude of Navarro High School students by becoming part of its prom committee just one week before the festivities. Van Ness seems to not be worried about the challenge in the least.

“Are we going to slay this prom so hard? Are we going to look better than we’ve ever even  thought about looking?” he asks two students in the trailer who excitedly agree.

Queer Eye is executive produced by David Collins, Michael Williams, and Rob Eric for Scout Productions. Jennifer Lane serves as the showrunner and executive producer.

The Concertfollows Global Goal: Unite for Our Future—The Summit, a global pledging moment where world leaders, corporations and philanthropists will announce new commitments to help develop equitable distribution of COVID-19 tests, treatments and vaccines, as well as rebuild communities devastated by the pandemic.

Barack and Michelle Obama each will deliver commencement speeches – as well as a joint heartfelt message – to this year’s high school and college seniors who are missing graduation celebrations due to the coronavirus pandemic. Additionally, Michelle Obama’s Higher Reach Initiative will host a full hour of content to kick off the celebration.
