Ana Zambrana to Star in Andy Fickman’s Upcoming Horror Feature “Blue Light”

The Puerto Rican actress, director and critic will star in Andy Fickman’s upcoming horror feature Blue Light.

Ana ZambranaZambrana joins a roster that includes Bella DeLong, Amber Janea, Daryl Tofa, Crystal Lake Evans, Jarrett Brown, John Bucy and Finley Rose Slater.

Fickman directs the film, which “follows a group of friends on a road trip who soon realize something terrifying and unworldly is threatening their lives.”

It’s apparently based on “true and terrifying unexplained events.”

The feature, which is set to premiere at AFM, has already sold to Germany (Lighthouse Home Entertainment), India (VR Films and Studios), the Middle East (Eagle Films Middle East) and Poland (Media4Fun). Film Mode Entertainment are repping global rights.

“’Blue Light’ is a rollercoaster ride of thrills and surprises that takes audiences on a captivating, mind-bending journey. What better day than Halloween to premier Andy’s new horror masterpiece,” said Film Mode’s Clay Epstein.

Fickman said: “I cannot wait for audiences across the world to go on the ‘Blue Light’ journey with us. Inspired by a real-life terrifying incident in my own life we searched for seven amazing actors to bring this story to life and never imagined we would find such perfect actors on and off screen. They have elevated the material to a whole new level.”

Zambrana’s previous credits include La Traición en la Amistad and The Burden.

Trailer Released for John Leguizamo’s Family Comedy “Playing with Fire”

Paramount has released the first trailer for Playing with Fire, the upcoming family comedy starring the 54-year-old Colombian actor and stand-up comedian, John CenaKeegan-Michael Keyand Tyler Mane

Leguizamo and team play firefighters who rescue three children and, unable to locate the siblings’ parents, become inadvertent and unlikely babysitters.

Directed by Andy Fickmanfrom a screenplay by Dan Ewenand Matthew Lieberman(story by Ewan), Playing with Fire is a Paramount Picturesand Paramount Playerspresentation, in association with Walden Mediaof a Broken Roadproduction.

In addition to Leguizamo, Cena, Key, and Mane, the film’s cast also includes – as the children – Brianna HildebrandChristian Converyand Finley Rose Slateras well as Dennis Haybertand Judy Greer.

Paramount will release Playing with Fire in theaters on November 8. 

Trailer Released for Kevin James’ “Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2,” Co-Starring Verastegui

The first official trailer has been released for Kevin JamesPaul Blart: Mall Cop 2, with the 40-year-old Mexican actor appearing in the sequel to the 2009 film.

Filmed at the Wynn Las Vegas, the film sees James’ title character pratfalling, getting hit by cars, punching old ladies and getting his clocked cleaned by a large featured beast.

This time he’s in Las Vegas for a Security Guard Expo with his teenage daughter (Raini Rodriguez) before she leaves for college. He happens upon a casino heist, and the hijinks ensue

Verastegui portrays Eduardo in the film, which also stars Daniella Alonso, David Henrie, Neal McDonough and Loni Love.

The sequel was directed by Andy Fickman from a script by James and Nick Bakay.

Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 will open in theaters on April 17.

Alonso to Star Opposite Kevin James in “Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2”

Daniella Alonso is about to find her love match on the big screen…

The 34-year-old half-Puerto Rican and part-Peruvian actress has been cast as Kevin James’ love interest in Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2, according to TheWrap.

The Andy Fickman-directed sequel finds Blart attending a Security Guard Expo in Las Vegas, where he takes on a group of dangerous art thieves.

Alonso will portray Divina Martinez, the general manager of the Wynn Hotel, who is completely perplexed when Blart presumes that she’s hitting on him. Flustered yet determined to clarify the situation, she reaches out to Blart several times, only to reinforce his original theory.

In addition to James and Alonso, Eduardo Verastegui, Selena Gomez’s Wizards of Waverly Place co-star David Henrie and Raini Rodriguez.

Alonso, who next stars on NBC‘s upcoming summer series The Night Shift, recently played fan favorite Nora Clayton on the network’s hit series Revolution.
