Hulu will release the second season of its teen dramedy, Love, Victor, starring the 21-year-old half-Puerto Rican actor in June.
Love, Victor will release all 10 episodes of its second season on Friday, June 11.
The series picks up with a newly out-of-the-closet Victor (Cimino) entering his junior year at Creekwood High. Ana Ortiz, James Martinez, Isabella Ferreira, Mateo Fernandez, Rachel Naomi Hilson, George Sear,Bebe Wood, Anthony Turpel and Mason Gooding also star.
Hulu has ordered a second season of its breakout new series Love, Victor, starring the 20-year-old half-Puerto Rican actor.
The series, an offshoot of the 2018 feature Love, Simon, ranked as the No. 1 most-watched drama on Hulu during its premiere week in June when all episodes were released together.
The series hails from This Is Usexecutive producers/co-showrunners Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger, who wrote the movie based on Becky Albertalli’s young adult novel Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda.
Love, Victor migrated to Hulu after being originally developed at Disney+.
The first season followed Victor (Cimino), a new student at Creekwood High School, on his own journey of self-discovery, facing challenges at home, adjusting to a new city and exploring his sexual orientation. As Victor and his friends mature, so will season two, promising to build on these themes of sexual identity, acceptance and navigating the odyssey we all know as high school.
In addition to Cimino, the series also stars Ana Ortiz, James Martinez, Isabella Ferreira, Mateo Fernandez, Rachel Naomi Hilson, Bebe Wood, George Sear, Anthony Turpel and Mason Gooding.

The half-Puerto Rican actor Cimino has been cast as Victor in Disney Plus television series adaptation of the film Love, Simon.

Cimino joins previously announced cast member Ana Ortiz, who will play Victor’s mother Isabel. Nick Robinson, who starred in the film, will narrate the half-hour series in addition to serving as producer.
The cast will also include: James Martinezas Armando, Victor’s regular blue collar “guy’s guy” father who loves his family deeply and works hard for his family; Isabella Ferreiraas Pilar, Victor’s sullen younger sister in the throes of teenage angst; Mateo Fernandezwill make his acting debut as Adrian, Victor’s adorable, good-natured little brother; Johnny Sequoyahas Mia, Victor’s whip-smart friend with a quick wit and easy laugh; Bebe Woodas Lake, Mia’s quirky and social media-obsessed best friend; George Searas Benji, Victor’s confident and charming classmate; Anthony Turpelas Felix, Victor’s lanky, awkward new neighbor; and Mason Goodingas Andrew, Creekwood’s cocky and popular basketball-loving jock.
Cimino’s previous credits include the film Annabelle Comes Homeand the Training Daytelevision series at CBS.
The series is set to begin production this month in Los Angeles.

He’s not involved in the TV adaptation because of his massive overall TV deal with Warner Bros.The film, produced by the now-shuttered label Fox 2000, was produced for $17 million, earning nearly $67 million worldwide.
ABC has picked up to series Whiskey Cavalier, starring the 47-year-old half-Puerto Rican actress and former Ugly Betty star.
Whiskey Cavalier is a high-octane, hour-long action dramedy that follows the adventures of tough but tender FBI super-agent Will Chase (codename: “Whiskey Cavalier”), played by Scott Foley. Following an emotional break-up, Chase is assigned to work with badass CIA operative Francesca “Frankie” Trowbridge (codename: “Fiery Tribune”), played by Lauren Cohan. Together, they lead an inter-agency team of flawed, funny and heroic spies who periodically save the world (and each other) while navigating the rocky roads of friendship, romance and office politics. The series is from writer/executive producer Dave Hemingson and executive producer Bill Lawrence with Warner Bros. Television.

The 47-year-old half-Puerto Rican actress and former Ugly BettyandDevious Maidsstar has been cast opposite Scott Foley and Lauren Cohan in Whiskey Cavalier,ABC’s hourlong action-dramedy pilot from Bill Lawrence, Dave Hemingson and Warner Bros. Television.
Written by Hemingson, Whiskey Cavalier, from WBTV and Lawrence’s studio-based Doozer Prods., follows the adventures of FBI agent Will Chase (codename: Whiskey Cavalier) — played by Foley — who, following an emotional break-up, is assigned to work with quick, cunning and completely fearless CIA operative Francesca “Frankie” Trowbridge (codename: Fiery Tribune) — played by Cohan. Ortiz will play Susan Sampson. Based out of the FBI’s New York office, Dr. Susan Sampson is the FBI’s top behavioral scientist — and Will’s (Foley) best friend. However, that doesn’t stop her from developing a fast friendship with Will’s rival (and future partner), Frankie (Cohan).
This marks Ortiz’s return to ABC where she co-starred on popular dramedy Ugly Betty for its four-season run and also starred in Devious Maids, which was developed and piloted by ABC before landing a series order at Lifetime.
The 46-year-old half-Puerto Rican actress has been cast as the female lead in ABC’s comedy pilot Charlie Foxtrot.
Hailing from writer Sam Sklaver, Kapital Entertainment and ABC Studios, the project is set at Fort Bragg, an Army base in North Carolina.
It centers on Angelina Torres (Ortiz) and her two children, who live on the base. But, when Angelina loses her fiancé, Joe Taylor, killed in action in Iraq, it looks as though she’ll have to move. But Joe’s brother, Charlie Taylor (Jason Biggs), a dentist at the base, and usually a pushover, isn’t about to let that happen.
Torres’ Angelina is a well-meaning, fierce single mother-lion who believes in putting her kids first, even if that means crossing a few lines.
The casting of Ortiz, who starred in Devious Maids andUgly Betty, stems from a talent deal ABC and ABC Studios signed with Ortiz immediately after Ortiz’s previous series, ABC Studios’ dramedy Devious Maids, ended its four-season run on Lifetime last summer. She decided on Charlie Foxtrot after being presented with several scripts.
This is Ortiz’s third consecutive pilot for ABC and ABC Studios, following the hourlong Ugly Betty and Devious Maids, both of which went to series, with the latter moving from ABC to Lifetime. Ortiz earned an ALMA Award and Imagen Award for her performance as Hilda on Ugly Betty.
Her television credits include appearances on How to Get Away with Murder, Revenge and Black-ish.
Lifetime has picked up Devious Maids, starring the 42-year-old actress/singer for a fourth season.
The announcement comes a month after the soapy mystery drama finished airing its third season.
“Devious Maids is a steady hit that continues to deliver for us. It has found a loyal audience that is socially engaged with the show,” says Lifetime Executive Vice President Liz Gateley about the renewal.
Devious Maids‘ third season launched with 1.47 million viewers in Live+Same Day and ended with a 1.53 million. Additionally, the series wrapped the season with an uptick, hitting season highs with the last two episodes (1.52 million, 1.53 million).
In addition to total viewers, the August 24 finale also logged season highs among adults 25-54 and women 25-54.
Devious Maids, from ABC Studios and executive producers Marc Cherry and Eva Longoria, stars Sánchez, Ana Ortiz, Dania Ramírez, Judy Reyes, Rebecca Wisocky and Susan Lucci.
It’s set in a world where murder and mayhem collide in the mansions of Beverly Hills’ wealthiest and most powerful families.
Ana Ortiz is bringing a little deviousness to ABC…
The 43-year-old half-Puerto Rican actress and Devious Maids star has booked a a pivotal guest-starring role on ABC’s Black-ish, starring Anthony Anderson.
Appearing in the 11th show’s episode airing this coming December, Ortiz will play Angelica Rodriguez, one of Dre’s (Anderson) co-workers who becomes an adversary at their company’s office Christmas party.
Jenifer Lewis is also set to appear in the episode as Dre’s mother, Ruby.
Ortiz, who co-starred in ABC dramedyUgly Bettyfrom 2006-10, has dropped by several of the network’s dramas since then — Revenge(2013) and more recently, How to Get Away With Murder.
Ortiz’s Devious Maids, which Lifetime renewed in September, returns for its third season in 2015.

The film is set in a world where being gay is the norm and heterosexual persons are bullied. The feature is based on the provocative short film of the same name that scored over 45 million hits on YouTube.
Ortiz joins a cast that includes Suburgatory’s Jeremy Sisto,Deception‘s Katherine La Nasa, Trophy Wife‘s Jenica Bergere, and Drumline‘s Leonard Roberts, as well as Briana Evigan, Emily Osment and Kyla Kennedy.
Director Kim Rocco Shields has also tapped Pretty Little Liars’ Tyler Blackburn for a lead role playing Ryan, the journalist who strikes up a forbidden romance with Evigan’s star quarterback.
