Fergie is being honored by Logo TV for her timelessness

The network has announced that the 38-year-old singer and Black Eyed Peas member – who is expecting her first child with husband Josh Duhamel – will receive the Always Next, Forever Now at this year’s Logo NewNowNext Awards.

Fergie

Fergie is being recognized for the global impact of her music career and charity work, according to the network.

“I could not be more proud to be honored by Logo. This award is so incredibly special to me because of the tremendous love and support I have always experienced from the LGBT community,” said, Fergie. “Logo’s philosophy of acceptance with no barriers and no judgment is a message that we should all live by.”

Throughout her illustrious  career, Fergie has established herself as more than a force in the music business. She’s also a powerful business woman and respected philanthropist. Raising money to fight HIV/AIDS has been an issue uniquely near and dear to Fergie’s heart, which has resulted in her working diligently with organizations like amfAR and The M.A.C  Aids Fund.

“Fergie embodies what the Always Next, Forever Now Award is all about in everything that she does” said Lisa Sherman, Executive Vice President and General Manager, Logo. ”She continuously pushes boundaries, stunning us with her creative vision and ability to make a tremendous impact on pop culture.”

Sales of Fergie’s Latest Wet n Wild Product to Benefit amfAR

Fergie isn’t just a “Glamorous” songstress… She’s also a socially conscious entertainer who is (wet n) wild about giving back to the community.

The 37-year-old part-Mexican singer and Black Eyed Peas member, who recently announced she’s expecting her first child with husband Josh Duhamel, launched the new lip colour she developed with Wet n Wild this week, adding that she’s added a charitable component to her cosmetics line.

Called Perfect Pout V.I. Pink, the shimmery pink shade will benefit the American Foundation for AIDS Research (amfAR) with 50 cents from each $3.49 product benefitting the cause.

“For me, it was really important to have a charitable component to my cosmetics line,” Fergie told WWD. “I did the MAC Viva Glam campaign [in 2008], and I was very inspired by the cause and motivated to do something myself. Wet n Wild has been amazing, and we’ve really pushed this forward and embraced it with open arms.”

To coincide with the product launch, Fergie invited her Twitter followers to Times Square in New York City this week. During the event the singer helped make over three Good Morning America viewers.

The singer used the cosmetics from her CenterStage colour collection to transform the selected members of the public.

“We really wanted to include social media with this,” Fergie said. “ [This cause is] very close to my heart.”

Fergie was named beauty ambassador for the American cosmetics company last year.

In addition to her make-up line, Fergie has been keeping busy working on her fragrances with Avon. Her latest scent for the brand is Viva, which she described as “very fresh, clean and crisp”.

She plans to branch into more product categories in the future, but says her immediate priority is preparing for her new arrival.

“I have my hands and plate full now,” Fergie laughed. “Being pregnant, it’s great to do a lot of work from home. I do it being comfortable and not worrying about hair and make-up. As far as what I’m going to do when the child comes? I have no idea what I’m going to tell you.”
