Netflix Releases Trailer for Season Two of Noah Centineo’s Spy Thriller “The Recruit”

Noah Centineo is readying to save the day…

Netflix has released the trailer for the upcoming second season of the spy thriller series The Recruit, starring the 28-year-old part-Puerto Rican actor.

Noah Centineo, The Recruit“I got this,” Centineo’s rookie CIA lawyer Owen Hendricks tells his boss Walter Nyland who sends him to “go save the day” in the trailer for the series, which premieres January 30.

Set to a Korean cover of Green Day’s “American Idiot,” the trailer reveals more about the Season 2 premise about Owen being “pulled into a life-threatening espionage situation in South Korea, only to realize that the bigger threat just might be coming from inside the Agency.”

The trailer also introduces Season 2 series regular Teo Yoo as Jang Kyun Kim who partners with Centineo’s Owen for some Rush Hour-style buddy action sequences.

As the trailer states, “Saving the world takes a pair.”

Newly released Season 2 photos shed more light on Owen’s time in Korea, with the always-stressed Janus possibly joining him on the mission as the two are seen on a plane together in one image, and Jang is standing in front of headshots of both Owen and Janus in another. One of the photos hints at the resolution of the Season 1 cliffhanger, with Owen seen walking alongside Dawn while Nichka is being led handcuffed.

Noah Centineo, The RecruitSeason 2 of The Recruit consists of six episodes, down from 8 in Season 1.

In addition to Centineo, Yoo is joining returning The Recruit series regulars Aarti Mann, Colton Dunn, Fivel Stewart, Kristian Bruun, Kaylah Zander, Hasson, Angel Parker and Vondie Curtis-Hall.

Additional key cast members include Young-Ah Kim, Felix Solis, James Purefoy, Do Hyun Shin, Sanghee Lee, Omar Maskati, Brooke Smith, Devika Bhise, Alana Hawley Purvis, Daniel Quincy Annoh, Jesse Collin and Fillion.

Series creator Alexi Hawley serves as showrunner and executive produces with Centineo, Doug Liman, Gene Klein, David Bartis, Adam Ciralsky, Charlie Ebersol and Julian Holmes.

Lionsgate Television is the studio.

Nicky Jam to Perform as Part of Good Morning America’s Annual Summer Concert Series

Nicky Jam is helping to wake up America this summer…

Good Morning America‘s annual Summer Concert Series is returning in July, with the The 43-year-old Puerto Rican and Dominican American urban singer-songwriter part of the lineup.

Nicky JamNicky Jam will appear from Central Park on the ABC morning show on Friday, August 9.

This year’s genre-spanning lineup also includes rockers Green Day celebrating the 30th anniversary of Dookie and the 20th anniversary of “American Idiot,” country star Carrie Underwood and more.

The annual concert series kicks off its run of eight shows on July 19 with Kane Brown in New York City’s Central Park, and includes rapper G-Eazy on August 16 at the show’s Times Square studio, and closes September 6 with country band Old Dominion, also at GMA‘s studio.

The performances set for Central Park will take place at Rumsey Playfield. For those interested in the shows in the park — which will be free and open to the public — information on how to attend is available on Good Morning America‘s website.

The concerts held at the Times Square studio will not have a live audience.

All of the performances will air between 7:00 and 9:00 am ET during the morning show’s broadcast, though some will air at 1:00 pm ET on GMA3: What You Need to Know, as well as 4:00 pm ET and 6:00 pm ET during ABC News Live.

Last year’s concert series kicked off with BTS superstar Jung Kook in Central Park. Carly Rae Jepson; Fat Joe with Busta Rhymes, Remy Ma and Bia; Tim McGraw and more also performed for the morning show.

Cervantes to Star in the Chicago Production of “Hamilton”

Miguel Cervantes is helping bring Broadway’s hottest musical to the Windy City.

The Latino actor has landed the lead role of Alexander Hamilton for the upcoming Chicago production of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Tony Award-winning musical Hamilton.

Cervantes previously appeared on Broadway in If/Then, American Idiot and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.

Karen Olivo, a Tony winner for the 2009 Broadway revival of West Side Story and an original castmember of Miranda’s breakout musical, In the Heights, will play Anjelica Schuyler. The role of King George III will be played by stage veteran Alexander Gemignani, who starred as Jean Valjean in the 2009 revival of Les Miserables and has also appeared on Broadway in Violet, Assassins, Sunday in the Park with George and Sweeney Todd.

The Chicago staging of Hamilton will feature former American Idol contestant Ari Asfar as Eliza Schuyler Hamilton, Chris Lee as Lafayette and Jefferson, Joseph Morales as Cervantes’ alternate, Jose Ramos as John Laurens and Phillip Hamilton, Wallace Smith as Hercules Mulligan and James Madison, and Samantha Marie Ware as Peggy Schuyler and Maria Reynolds. Both Lee and Morales are alumni of the In the Heights national tour.

Casting for the joint lead role of Aaron Burr in Chicago has not yet been announced.

Performances of Hamilton begin Sept. 27 at Chicago’s PrivateBank Theatre, marking the first production of the show beyond New York.

A separate touring production kicks off next March in San Francisco, while a London production will also begin in 2017.

Hamilton has been the biggest smash to hit Broadway in decades, winning 11 Tony Awards and selling out for months in advance. The show’s cumulative box office since it began performances at the Richard Rodgers Theatre on July 13 last year has hit $88 million.
