The 22-year-old Mexican American singer/rapper appears on “Como No,” Akon’s new song from his Latin collaborations album, El Negreeto.
Becky G and Akon teased the new track on Billboard Latin’s Instagram account.
Akon and Becky G shared behind-the-scenes photos and short clips on the account while filming the “Como No” video in Miami.
“The Latin culture, it’s amazing,” Akon previously told Billboard. “Growing up in New Jersey surrounded by this culture. I love this culture, and ever since the beginning of my career I’ve been wanting to always collaborate.”

Jordana Brewster’s latest film will most certainly make its way to American theaters…
Saban Films has acquired the U.S. distribution rights to American Heist, the bank robbery actioner that stars the 34-year-old Panamanian actress and Dallas star.
American Heist centers on two brothers, both with troubled pasts, who find themselves in the middle of one last bank job.
In addition to Brewster, who portrays Emily in the film, American Heist also stars Hayden Christensen, Adrien Brody, Tory Kittles and Aliaune “Akon” Thiam.
The deal followed its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival.
Jordana Brewster is preparing for the heist of her life…
The 33-year-old Brazilian-American actress has joined the cast of the action thriller American Heist, a remake of the 1959 Steve McQueen film St. Louis Bank Robbery.
The film, which will also star Hayden Christensen, Adrien Brody and Akon, tells the story of two brothers with checkered pasts — one struggling on the road to normalcy, the other just released from prison — who intertwine when one drags the other into an ill-fated bank robbery spearheaded by a gang of dangerous criminals, testing the loyalty of their sibling bond and how far they will go for greed and family.
Principal photography on the Glacier Films-produced project begins this week.
It looks like there’s no stopping Jessica Sanchez…
Once again, the petite 16-year-old part-Mexican American Idol finalist with the gigantic voice showed her maturity and sheer talent during last night’s songs-from-2010-and-beyond-themed show.
During her rehearsal of the song she’d tackle this week—Jazmine Sullivan’s “Stuttering”—music executive/producer and mentor Jimmy Iovine couldn’t help but marvel at Sanchez’s singing chops.
Meanwhile, guest judge Akon commented on Sanchez’s maturing, telling her “You’ve got so much control for that age!”
And, when it came time to take the stage, Sanchez didn’t disappoint…
Sitting atop a piano in a shimmering metallic dress, black leggings and black knee-high boots, the San Diego native delivered a moving interpretation of Sullivan’s rare track.
“That was superb, I mean that was like at the highest degree,” decreed AI judge Randy Jackson. “You did an amazing job!”
Meanwhile, Jennifer Lopez gushed about how beautifully Sanchez performed the song and encouraged her to take the American Idol audience and viewers at home on a journey every week.
“You have an amazing opportunity to take this audience… on a ride” said Lopez. “Take us on the ride every week; you can show us something we’ve never seen!”
Later, Sanchez returned to the stage wearing a shoulderless white blouse and pants with pink piping to perform an energetic rendition of Kelly Clarkson’s “Stronger” as a trio with fellow finalists Joshua Ledet and HollieCavanagh.
