Peso Pluma Among Headliners for Next Year’s Tecate Pa’l Norte Festival

Peso Pluma is heading to Monterrey for a special performance next spring…

The 24-year-old Mexican Regional Mexican artist is among the headliners for the next edition of the Tecate Pa’l Norte festival, which has announced the extensive list of international stars that will take the stage the weekend of March 29-31.

As it does every year, Fundidora Park in Monterrey, Nuevo León, in northern Mexico, will host one of the most highly anticipated musical events, where attendees can enjoy genres such as rock, pop, hip-hop and regional Mexican music. 

The first day will feature artists such as Kendrick Lamar, Peso Pluma, Keane, Aleman, Bad Religion, Belanova, Aterciopelados, Bomba Estéreo, Chencho Corleone, Deorro, Los Estrambóticos, Aitana and a large number of emerging groups.

The second day will highlight Blink-182, Louis Tomlinson, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Anitta, Danna Paola, Danny Ocean, Gabito Ballesteros, Latin Mafia, Sum 41, Yng Lvcas, Humbe, Young the Giant, R3hab, Justin Morales and many more.

The last day of the festival will feature Maná, Imagine Dragons, Placebo, Fuerza Regida, Los Enanitos Verdes, Enjambre, Kenia Os, Santa Fe Klan, Álvaro Díaz, Jay de la Cueva, Oscar Maydón, Kinky, The Warning and The Blessed Madonna, in addition to a variety of up-and-coming artists.

Created in 2012 by the entertainment company Apodaca Group, based in Monterrey, Tecate Pa’l Norte was created with the local public in mind, which had to travel to Mexico City to attend these types of musical events. Music, art, gastronomy and northern traditions come together in Tecate Pa’l Norte, considered one of the most important festivals in the country along with Vive Latino and Corona Capital, held in Mexico City by Ocesa.

Aitana Leads Pack of Premios Odeón Nominees with Five Nods

The 2021 Premios Odeón nominations have been revealed for the second annual awards show, with the 21-year-old Spanish singer leading the pack of nominees with five nods.

Aitana, who rose to acclaim as the runner-up on the Spanish reality television talent competition Operación Triunfo, is nominated for Odeón Pop Artist, as well as Best Pop Song for two of her singles: +,” alongside Cali y El Dandee, and “Si Tú La Quieres,” with David Bisbal, who has earned four nominations this year.

Pablo Alboran has received four nods.

The 31-year-old Spanish singer’s nominations include Odeón Pop Artist, Best Pop Album for Vertigo, and Best Pop Song for his Ava Max collaboration “Tabú.

Other multiple nominees include C. Tangana, Chema Rivas, Rosalia, Vanessa Martin, Nathy Peluso and Omar Montes.

The Spanish-based awards show, which was officially announced at the end of 2019 by the Asociación De Gestión De Derechos Intelectuales (AGEDI) and kicked off in 2020, not only celebrates the diverse music scene in Spain but also Latin and international acts.

The winners are chosen by the fans, according to the official statement, “through their active participation of consuming music, both on digital platforms and with the purchase of physical formats during the previous year.”

In collaboration with Brazil’s Luisa Sonza and Spain’s Aitana, Danna Paola dropped the playful and catchy reggaeton-meets-cumbia track perfect for any friends with benefits.

Quiero bailar contigo este fin de semana / I just wanna see you pa’ matar la’ gana’ / Ya sabes que te toca entrar por la ventana / Tú no te aguantas, tú no te aguantas,” the powerhouses sing in the flirtatious lyrics.

Directed by Charlie Nelson in different parts of a school, the music video offers up major Elite vibes.

The 21-year-old Spanish singer/songwriter has joined voices with Sebastian Yatra on the new single “Corazón Sin Vida.”

The emotive song, which features a fragment of Alejandro Sanz’s “Corazón Partió,” is for the broken-hearted person who has many unanswered questions.

“Why did you heal me when I was hurt, if today you leave me a lifeless heart again,” Aitana asks in the chorus.

Fusing their dulcet powerhouse vocals, Aitana and Yatra exchange their true feelings in this bluegrass-infused pop song.

On Instagram, Aitana expressed her gratitude to Sanz for allowing her to use part of his timeless hit and Yatra for jumping on the track.

The 21-year-old Spanish singer-songwriter has joined voices with the Colombian band Morat once again, this time for the catchy new single “Más De Lo Que Aposté.”

Even though the track centers on an on-again, off-again couple, it features a feel-good melody that laces Aitana’s dulcet pop sound with Morat’s infectious alternative rock.

“Sometimes we are, sometimes we’re not / One day it’s hate, another day it’s love / I don’t know the reason / But I always end up with you,” Aitana and Morat chant in the chorus.

An innovative and vibrant music video shows both Aitana and Morat jamming to the song in the middle of the woods.

Miguel to Perform for the First-Time at the Latin Grammys

The 34-year-old Mexican American R&B singer, songwriter, who released the Spanish EP Te Lo Dije earlier this year, is set to perform at this year’s Latin Grammys, according to The Latin Recording Academy.

The 19-year-old Spanish singer, whose full name is Aitana Ocaña Morales, has joined voices with Lele Pons to release a new version of her hit single “Teléfono.”

Following the success of the single in Spain, Aitana decided to give “Teléfono” a remix with an assist from the 22-year-old Venezuelan talent.

The single was composed by Aitana alongside “Despacito” hitmakers Mauricio Rengifo and Andres Torres.

The music video, directed by Anwar Jibawi and produced by Shots Studios, was filmed in Los Angeles and features both artists in a celebration of Spanish-language pop music for fans around the world.

It also showcases an explosive combination between two multi-talented young women.
