Juanes’ “Fuego” Rises to No. 1 on Billboard’s Latin Airplay Chart

The 44-year-old Colombian musician has earned his 11th No. 1 on Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart (dated Nov. 12) with his latest single, “Fuego,” soaring 6-1 in its fourth charting week (with a 33 percent rise, to 13.7 million audience impressions in the week ending October 30 according to Nielsen Music).

The track takes Airplay Gainer honors there and on the multi-metric Hot Latin Songs chart, where it hops 18-14.

The 21-year-old Colombian urban artist’s latest single “Borro Cassette” rises from 11-8 in its tenth charting week to earn him his first Top 10 on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart.

Maluma takes Airplay Gainer honors with a 30 percent climb in audience, logging 9.8 million impressions during the tracking week ending Sept. 27, according to Nielsen Music. The on-air bump drives the track 8-4 on Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart, reaching a new peak.

Digital sales also helped in the Hot Latin Songs spike, increasing four percent to 1,000 downloads.

The singer will perform at the inaugural Latin American Music Awards (Latin AMAs) on October 8, which will be broadcast live on Telemundo from the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.

“Borro Cassette” is the first single from Maluma’s upcoming album, Pretty Boy Dirty Boy, due October 30.

Yandel’s “Calentura” Reaches No. 1 on Billboard’s Latin Airplay Chart

The 38-year-old Puerto Rican singer soars 13-1 on Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart dated Aug. 15 with “Calentura.”

The single is Yandel’s fourth solo chart-topper on the list (in addition to the 10 he previously logged as part of urban duo Wisin & Yandel).

The reggaeton track rises 73 percent in its 14th week on the chart, to 11.7 million audience impressions in the week ending August 2, according to Nielsen Music.

Over on the Hot Latin Songs chart, “Calentura” leaps 31-10, scooping up his fifth solo top 10 (and 26th career top 10) on the chart and taking the Airplay Gainer tag.

The climb earns the band its 14th top 20, and its highest showing since “Mi Segunda Vida” peaked at No. 13 in May, 2014.

“Lo Hiciste” likely reaches a new peak on Billboard’s Regional Mexican Airplay, bounding 17-7 and capturing an 18th top 10.

The track was released in November of last year, and its corresponding music view has garnered more than 11 million page views on YouTube.

“Javier El de Los Llanos” reached 9.3 million audience impressions at the format (a 2 percent rise), according to Nielsen BDS.

The track dips slightly on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart (12-14), while “Que Tiene de Malo,” featuring El Komander, jumps 29-21 receiving Airplay Gainer honors.

“Malo” climbs 34-21 on the Regional Mexican Airplay chart with a 75 percent gain.
