Yandel Earns 15th No. 1 on Billboard’s Latin Airplay Chart with Feid Collaboration “Yandel 150”

The 46-year-old Puerto Rican singer and songwriter has notched his 15th No. 1 on Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart as “Yandel 150,” his collaboration with Feid, rises to the top spot on the chart dated April 15.

Yandel returns to the summit following the one-week lead of “Déjà Vu,” with Tainy, in 2021. His longest-leading champ was “Encantadora,” which held atop the chart for three weeks.

Feid, meanwhile, claims his third No. 1 just a month after his featured turn in Ozuna’s “Hey Mor” ruled the March 4-dated list.

The collaboration ousts another pairing, Myke Towers and Daddy Yankee, after one week in charge for “Ulala.”

“Yandel 150” is the fourth single from Yandel’s Resistencia, his seventh studio album as a soloist, released Jan. 13 via Sony Music Latin. The 17-track set, jam-packed with reggaetón vets and newcomers alike, including his longtime collaborator Wisin, earned the Puerto Rican an eighth straight top 10 on Latin Rhythm Albums (March 23-dated list).

Further, “Yandel 150” leads in its ninth week on Latin Airplay, tying with “Hey Mor” as the third song to rise to the summit in nine weeks or fewer among Yandel’s 15 champs. Only two other tracks climbed faster: “Como Antes,” featuring Wisin, led in its second week, while “Se Acabó El Amor,” with Abraham Mateo and Jennifer Lopez, conquered in its sixth week.

Elsewhere, Yandel also takes his 15th No. 1 on Latin Rhythm Airplay, while Feid picks up his fourth champ.

Following a two-week poll asking readers to choose their favorite quarantine-inspired Latin song, Billboard has revealed the fans pick: Adriana Rios.

In the midst of the COVID-19global pandemic, the rising Regional Mexican singer penned a heartwarming song called “Esta En Ti‘.”

The lyrics are a wake-up call to society, encouraging everyone to cooperate and stay at home.

In the track, Rios, one of Billboard’sLatin Artists To Watchin 2020, also recognizes all of the workers and health professionals who have been in the frontline during these challenging times.

Rios’ “Esta En Ti” nabbed more than 45 percent of the votes. The heartfelt song is followed by Ivy Queen’s“Antídoto” with nearly 30 percent of the votes.

Other fan favorites included Karol G and Anuel AA’s“Follow” and Abraham Mateo’s“Esta Cuarentena.”

Jennifer Lopez Notches Her Eighth No. 1 on Billboard’s Latin Airplay Chart with “El Anillo”

The 48-year-old Puertp Rican superstar has notched her eighth No. 1 single on Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart — and her third of the year — as “El Anillo” bolts 12-1 on the July 14-dated list.

The song reached the summit thanks to an 88 percent increase in audience impressions (to 16 million) in the week ending July 8, according to Nielsen Music. The gain was likely prompted by its new Ozuna remix, which hit radio on July 2, benefiting from six days of airplay.

Lopez topped the chart earlier in the year with the tracks “Amor, Amor, Amor” featuring Wisin, and as part of the triple-billed title “Se Acabó el Amor” with Abraham Mateo and Yandel, both ruling for one week only.

Among women, Lopez continues to have the third-most No. 1s on the tally, trailing only Shakira (who has 13) and Gloria Estefan (with 11).

In addition to the Latin Airplay coronation, “El Anillo” also lands at No. 1 on the Latin Rhythm Airplay tally, vaulting 9-1 in its tenth frame and besting its No. 9 peak where the song held for four non-consecutive weeks.

The new lift grants Lopez her fourth leader, extending her record as the female with most No. 1s, now with four.

Abraham Mateo Becomes Youngest Solo Male Artist to Lead Billboard’s Latin Airplay Chart

The 19-year-old Spanish singer-songwriter has earned his first No. 1 on Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart.

Mateo’s single “Se Acabó El Amor,” featuring Yandeland Jennifer Lopezarrives leaps 7-1 on the chart dated June 16 with a 61-percent gain in airplay audience in the week ending June 10, according to Nielsen Music.

Mateo is the youngest solo male artist to lead the Latin Airplay chart, which launched in 1994.

The youngest solo artist to top the list remains Leslie Grace, who hit No. 1 in 2012 with “Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow” when she was 17 years old.

“Se Acabó El Amor” is the second chart entry for Mateo, who made his chart debut last November with “Loco Enamorado,” featuring Farrukoand Christian Nodal. It peaked at No. 12 on the January 13, 2018-dated list.

“Se Acabó El Amor” is also the 11th No. 1 for Yandel, while it’s the seventh for Lopez. It’s also Lopez’s second No. 1 of 2018 — the first time she’s notched two No. 1s in a calendar year.  She previously ruled the tally for one week with “Amor, Amor, Amor” featuringWisin(Feb. 3).

Concurrently, “Se Acabó El Amor” jumps to the top of the Latin Rhythm Airplaychart and ranks in the top 10 of the Latin Pop Airplaychart. It also ascends eight ranks on the Hot Latin Songstally, to No. 19, besting Mateo’s lone previous entry on the chart with “Loco,” which peaked at No. 22 (Jan. 13).

Prince Royce, the reigning Favorite Tropical Artist, joins a list of performers that includes Chris Brown, Gente de Zona, Natalia Jimenez, Banda MS, Alejandra Guzmán, Gloria Trevi, hip hop legend Spiff TV, Pablo Alborán and Jesse & Joy.

The list of performers also includes upcoming acts like Spanish pop singer Abraham Mateo, Cuban pop music group Angeles, Puerto Rican “trap” singer Bad Bunny, regional Mexican singer Christian Nodal and Colombian singer/songwriter Manuel Medrano.

The “Latin AMAs” honors artists in the genres of Pop/Rock, Regional Mexican, Urban and Tropical, as well as categories for Favorite Crossover Artist, Favorite Collaboration, New Artist of the Year, Artist of the Year and Album of the Year, among others.

This year, Colombian superstars Shakira and Maluma top the list of nominees for the third annual awards show. Nominees are based on key fan interactions with music, including, but not limited to, sales, airplay, streaming and social activity tracked by Billboard through its data partners Nielsen Music and Next Big Sound.

The ceremony will be broadcast live from the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, CA, at 9:00 pm ET on Thursday, October 26. The show is produced by Telemundo and Somos Productions.
